  1. Will be there shooting both L10 and Limited!
  2. This was a great match! High round count, great stage design and a great staff. Everyone who didn't make it really missed out!

  4. My bad ass 6" Cameron's Custom 40 Limited gun. People say its unfair to shoot a full blown limited gun in L-10, but I prefer L-10 to Limited because I prefer reloading and believe it makes me a better shooter shooting 10 rounds than 19-21. Makes me think about my shots as I may only have a round or two extra per array.
  5. I use Solo 1000 with the Precision 170's in my Cameron's 6" Limited gun. 5.2g at 1.180 oal with get me right at 171pf. It is a tad smokey especially in a humid area, but actually shoots softer than VV n320 and about half the cost.
  6. I just wanted to thank Tim, Carrie, Craig, Tom, Danielle and everyone who helped in making this match happen. I also wanted to thank Tim who donated the extra funds from the Open gun that we donated to the Juniors program. It was a great match and hope to see everyone in Oregon next year for Area 1.
  7. Hi everyone, just dealt with the USPSA website kicking me out 3 times, but still signed up for the Limited waitlist at number 72. What did you get and how was your experience?
  8. 2 whole minutes huh? Must be nice just proves people is AZ are smarter. 4 hours total in line here! My friend is just a sales guy at a Apple store and the numbers from one store in Scottsdale AZ are amazing
  9. Here on Phoenix AZ waiting on line to pick up our pre-ordered iPhone 4 (are about to fly to Area 1 or would have had it delved) the store had approx 600 people in the preorder pick up line and about 500 positive people thinking they could walk up without peordering it. Have been here since 6 am and will probably have it in my hand and 9am. Say what you wNt but nobody waits in huge lines and is happy to shell out money for a Droid!
  10. Eric you shot really well especially considering the foot plus of Kentucky Windage you didn't know you had to use:-). You are definately a GM in taping and resetting steel! Plus you came in 1st overall for best shorts at the match!
  11. Thanks again to the match directors and RO's for all of the hard work. This was my 4th High Desert CLassic in a row and the best to day. Also thanks to squad 10 which was one of the best squads I have ever been on and also one of the most successful! We had Eddie Garcia, 1st Overall Open and Overall Match winner, David Sevigny, 1st overall Production, Glenn Higdon 3rd overall Open, Brian Wiliamson 4th overall Open, Annette Williamson, High Lady Open, Kathie, Furgeson-Avery, High Lady Limited, Ron Avery 4th overall Limited, Jim Bodkin, 1st overall Limited-10, Kale Garretson, 2nd overall Production, Jason Maples, 1st overall A Production, Jason Brinkley and Rick Korzep who rocked as well.
  12. The match is over and as always it was a great match! The stages were challenging and the weather cooperated this year! My friend and business partner Eddie Garcia won top GM and overall again this year in Open. The fastest kid alive Nils won Limited, David Sevigny won production, Jim Bodkin won Limited 10, and I didn't hear the SS winner.
  13. Torie, First of All tell Bruce that Tony Luciani says Hi. I do have a P7M8 which Bruce has pictures of on his website. NP3, checkered backstrap, beavertail, steel trigger, Novak Sights, etc. Plus I have Bruce's old competition P7M13 Frame only which he used with a long slide upper, but sold the upper some time back. Ask Bruce about the Boland Gun, It says Boland on it, but Bruce and Jim built it together back when they worked at the same shop, Dean Wilkersons. It was pretty strange and Bruce saw it back at a Area 2 a few years ago. I will take some quick pics and try and get them up. In fact the M13 has a Bar-Sto conventional barrel in it and when I had dinner with Irv a few months back he told me all kind of horror stories about fitting the barrel to that gun!
  14. I have both a custom 5" long wide dustcover limited gun with a bull barrel and a custom 6" short dustcover with a bushing barrel. I never shoot the 5" gun anymore. For me it was a obvious choice the first match I shot with one, but everyone is different.
  15. I think slide rackers are a regional or local thing. when we shot Double Tap I didn't see any open guns without a racker, but here in AZ its about a 50-50 thing. I would never put one on my gun and hate the way they gun feels when you rack it as you torque it to one side. For some it is a must have, but it mostly a technique thing like a Swenson safety for riding the slide.
  16. Rick, That is a bad ass bench, where did you get it at?
  17. I have almost a twin to this gun, mine is in 40S&W and still a octa-comp and the details are almost identical. I also have a one off Boland P713 which is pretty unique as well.
  18. Hi everyone, Here is a picture of my recently finished 6" fresh back from hard chrome. It weighs 36.6 ounces as it sits in the picture is perfectly balanced and I believe it is the sexiest 6" in the game, but I am biased of course! Edited because I messed up trying to upload a picture :-)

  20. I do check as I sign and in my case two of my stage receipts do not match the posted results on USPSA.org. In my case not a big deal as it wouldn't have moved me up in class, but as far as my other two shooting buddies it would have made a big difference. I am not whining I am just confused as I am not sure how they could have changed from the stage to the upload? Maybe the cold played havoc with the transfer of data?
  21. Hi everyone, Does anyone else have any scoring errors for stage 12? We did need to leave about 3:15 on Sunday to catch our flight back and weren't able to see scores as they weren't fully posted yet and 3 of us who shot together had wrong scores (One didn't even receive a score at all even though he shot the stage) Also two people on our squad who didn't shoot the match due to the weather received scores for the stage. Maybe it was just our squad or the palms were acting up, but seems strange. In one or our shooters case it would have made a HUGE difference in the overalls.
  22. Am sitting at airport and just checked the weather. It says HIGHS of upper 30's, rain, snow flurries and high winds. All we need is a tornado and we are set! Guess the weekend shooters are getting screwed :-)
  23. Seiichi, For some odd reason we always choose to hold Area 2 on the same weekend that Nascar is in Phoenix. The extra 75,000 people who come into town tend to swallow up all of the rental cars and a fair amount of the hotel rooms. They are on the other side of town though!
  24. Rick, Between your Tanfoglio and your Cameron's Custom gun, how many mounts/optics have your tried? Be honest now, hast to be at least 5-6 mounts and the two optic platforms!
