  1. Too small and slow on the reload - you'll need twin 20mm belt-fed (from 2 30ton trucks) to eradicate this plague....
  2. That can of slimy worms I did not want to mention...watch your back Sky...they are coming for you....
  3. If the solution isn't "final" we're only treating symptoms and not removing the cause, thus wasting time and effort.
  4. It's all about consistency. Yes if the course was designed as "start like you want in area X" it is just as consistent to have all start in one fixed position. As long as everybody knows it and the RO knows it before he/she starts the first shooter all is fine. If the RO says "...gun on table..." and nothing else and you put it safely and securely on your flat toped scope and he says nothing, I would assume you are good to go....
  5. I spank...ahhh...thank you so much.... Removed and PM'ed
  6. EricW: I agree with you completely. Its adults (or wannabe adults) that teach kids the ways of the world. If the basics are wrong how can you expect the deductions to be right?
  7. I second Sky's advice. The RSA Mod shooters I know used 180gr CMJ RNFP's in front of 7.55gr S221 (medium-slow RSA powder - a bit faster then N110, lot slower than N340, between HS6 and HS7 according to Somchem). I use 7.6gr of the same stuff behind the same bullet for Std. For the comp and other holes to work best go for 160 - 180gr bullets with slow powder that burns up in your 4.5" bbl. My .02
  8. JFD I've been shooting my Para P16 for a couple of years now, thousends of rounds each year. So far I replaced the sights with a Bo-Mar rear, my own front, put in a two-piece full length steel guid rod, replaced the recoil spring with a (I think) 18 or 20 lb, red shok buff and.....no, thats it.... Accuracy with good bullets is good (±30mm at 25m - off hand). I don't see a use for a magwell with that big hole and sharply tapered mags - for now at least. Meggar mags (I think from Italy) are real cheap (±USD 40 over here) compared to Para mags (±USD 160 over here). They hold only 15 x .40Short&Weak but work good as stripper/emergancy mags. I've got 3 Para mags, two with the Rescomp shoe (for 18 rounds IPSC box compatible), the other the normal 16 rounds (17 if no-one is watching.... ).
  9. So you can release the handlebars completely while fending of flying insects and mud pieces with a .45 in each hand...
  10. I'm practising "two controlled shots"...
  11. Thats prob one of the best comments to date....
  12. With a pistol and small calibre (read not .378 Weathetby Mag) rifle I believe it is no prob. I was referring to a 12ga, which does make a very nice and BIG fireball with some ammo. But yes, its probably not as big a prob as it is made out to be - if life depends on it who care about the other stuff...
  13. May I have a draft of those? Pleeeaseeeeeeeee.....
  14. Could this be due to grip angle diffs between the 1911/Glock/CZ & clones?????
  15. A general suggestion for improvement: Consistency and of course to mature. IDPA is not threatened by other games, it is threatening it own existence.
  16. Someone please get the final results.... Would be nice if Fabian Scott really got 2nd Std...a real challenge closer to home
  17. From the above site, that seems to be the case Maybe not stirred, just shaken
  18. And 5% on Eric G is not bad at all...as I said: Nice pot stirring match
  19. Since I've heard the 2 strongest muscles in a male body are in his left thumb and right toe (don't ask, you might not like the answer) shoot "southpawed" in future...
  20. Judging by the amount of numbnuts running around - you are so right...
  21. When I first noticed modified div I though "This is great" and still do. It lets you play within limits of the box and your imagination. Keep open - good for R&D Get mod - more fun with a gun Std - always cool Prod - good "back to basics" Rev - needs an open rev once numbers pick up My humble 0.02
  22. I used to have my WH finger on the TG of my Para. Then after reading around here and TGO's site I tried the all-fingers-on -grip thing. Felt real weird for a while, but decided I can only judge once mastered...and....for me it works allot better than finger and TG. I'm glad I switched.... How much better I can not tell since my score are steadily improving since hanging around here and making dumb comments....
