  1. Polish the funnel and use a bit of case lube in the mouth of your cases. Or take a q-tip and swab a bit of case lube on the funnel prior to your loading session. THEN, if you still feel a bit of "tug" then POWER THROUGH IT and move on! Doing these things when using new and/or wet cleaned brass are just a fact of life. However, the benefits far outweigh these minor side effects. IMO, the PE funnel comes with a much nicer polished finish.......... https://uniquetek.com/product/T1582 A good search showing how this has been addressed in the past: https://www.google.com/search?q=Polish+the+Powder+Funnel+Expander+site:forums.brianenos.com&sxsrf=APwXEdfMsFvK94o8tca34TDwliHbZRM8Og:1684263694488&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiY6d6Zw_r-AhX-GTQIHaPkA3oQrQIoBHoECBAQBQ&biw=1536&bih=722&dpr=1.25#ip=1 HTHs!
  2. Got a new MPA LOC that will be at my FFL tomorrow!!! My first choice of holsters was the Everglades MRH: https://www.evergladesammo.com/accessories/holsters/everglades-magnetic-race-holster.html It was OoS when I was ready to buy; so I ended up getting my second choice: the DAA Flex Holster that @Blackstone45referenced above. At this point, I think the Flex Holster will be fine since the adjustability is excellent; and the holster has plenty of positive reviews from those that are using them. And yes the LOC will use the "A" insert block. If considering a DAA open holster, then I would definitely recommend going with the Flex!
  3. Is the Nitro Fin 2.0 that comes on the LOC not an option? https://shootingsportsinnovations.com/nitro-fin-2-0-2011-sti-sv-slide-lock-thumb-rest/ Does the Atlas or PT offer more? Thanks.

  5. @N7VY Also a lot of factory support and feedback if your a FB member............... https://www.facebook.com/groups/Mark7Reloaders
  6. Also using fully pre-process brass....... Before adding the Apex 10, I was using one of these in Station #3 on my manual RL1100: https://fastandfriendlybrass.com/product/ffb-swage-backup-case-mouth-expanding-rod-f-9mm-38-super/ IMO, it provides an excellent, precision expander that still allows hold down for shell plate stabilization. I still used a fully polished MBF style funnel/expander at the powder drop as I never could get MBF bullet drop stabilization when using the Dillon expander. I'm also using my Dillon powder measure w/ MBF funnel on the M7! Clear view of the difference............ I also feel ANY reloading press will benefit from using a premium case lube. Much smoother operation and consistency of ammo.
  7. FYI: Looks like BattleHawk Armory is an MPA Dealer! Posted this on their FaceBook page: https://battlehawkarmory.com/product-manufacturer/masterpiece-arms
  8. IF you or anyone are in a hurry for an LOC, and don't want a specific "color scheme" then Shooter's Connection is a Platinum Dealer for MPA...... And I feel confident any qualified gunsmith with precise machining capabilities would be able to provide the Cmore patterned mounting holes you need. Good luck!
  9. Will do. Will pick up Tuesday at my Dealer.
  10. Good luck! And, if you need to purchase a Redding die, the folks at AA&A are excellent to deal with and offer great Customer Service! https://www.accuratearmsandammo.com/product.sc?productId=2247
  11. @JD40Placed my order for a LOC on 02/07/23; and it's ready to ship as of email notification late this afternoon. So, if my math is right, it was right at 13 weeks.
  12. @Chapo There are a lot of people successfully using the Lee U Die on this forum. For me, it resulted in an unpleasant loading experience until I reinstalled my Redding Pro Titanium Sizing Die. I have never changed it; and one now resides in my Mark 7 Apex 10 also. IMO, it doesn't get any better for sizing/decapping 9mm brass! If you have another sizing die, give it a try!!
  13. This was recommended to me several years ago by the original MBF designer; and I've been using it ever since! https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101274264 Like @Boomstick303stated, it will truly shock you just how smooth your press/reloading experience with be! I also allow just a bit to get in the mouth of several cases when I'm spraying a batch, and it will smooth up your powder funnel release tremendously! Does not contaminate/effect the performance of your powder. Highly recommended!
  14. Some good info............ https://chpws.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/MRDS-Mounting-22_MAY_2020.pdf Of course I use the optic manufacturer's recommended specs for final tightening along with VC-3 Threadmate.
  15. While I've owned/used one of the versions that @Ssanders224referenced above, I find the weight specific Small Torque Limiters from Fix It Sticks are very simple to use! https://store.fixitsticks.com/collections/optics-mounting/products/small-torque-limiters
  16. Correct. If shooting CO, the factory MAX magwell must be removed. I just put mine back on and going to shoot Limited Optics till my LO gun arrives!
  17. Sounds good! Excellent advice from @Boomstick303!!
  18. Hi Wayne! I'm about 2 weeks out yet on my LO Comp! Getting really pumped for this one!
  19. @Chapo FYI: A comparison of the "extra" funnel you have above (XL650?) with the MBF style funnel. Also a pic of the standard RL1100 on the left, MBF style in middle, and SSI custom funnel on right.
  20. Yes that's a Dillon.......probably came from an 550/XL650/XL750 series press. IF your going to change to a MBF style funnel, I would highly recommend considering one directly from PE or UniqueTek! They also offer oversized funnels if your using larger than standard diameter bullets! Standard funnel is optimized for .355", .356", .3565" bullets.
  21. @Chapo Looking at your first video, it appears at about the 0:35sec mark you briefly show the funnel that's on the left in my previous pic: https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/307123-dillon-1100-clunk/?do=findComment&comment=3381731 You can easily look at the tip of the funnel and confirm per my pic. If you are indeed still using the stock Dillon funnel, I would highly recommend swapping it to the MBF type funnel! Either use the one that came with the MBF; or purchase one from PE or Unique-Tek that is made by PE! They are made to the original MBF designer's specs and are of excellent quality/fit/finish! https://uniquetek.com/product/T1582 On my previous RL1100, I was using the the F&FB expander/hold down as a fully adjustable "pre-expander"; then allowing the MBF funnel to create that perfect "seat" for when the bullet comes out of the MBF. One final consideration I had from watching your videos: without any brass in your shell plate, are you experiencing any "cam-over" from having a die adjusted down too far? IIRC, the EXCELLENT FW Arm shell plates are a bit thicker than the OEM Dillon units.......... HTHs!
  22. @ddc Agree ! The "smoothest/most consistent" results I achieved with my RL1100 running 9mm was using one of these in Station#3: https://fastandfriendlybrass.com/product/ffb-swage-backup-case-mouth-expanding-rod-f-9mm-38-super/ And of course, the PE/MBF powder funnel at Station#5: https://uniquetek.com/product/T1582
