Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks guys for all the replies. It has been very helpful.
  2. I am having MPA ( MasterPiece Arms) build me their DS9 Limited Optic Comp pistol and i am thinking about getting the DAA Alpha-X holster. My concern is that when looking at ordering there is a drop down box for you to use to select the make/manufacture of the pistol you are wanting to use with that holster. They do not list MPA. My MPA pistol is a 2011 pistol. Does anyone know of someone who has already done this and what doing they do to ensure holster compatibility with the MPA DS9?
  3. Want To give a big Thank You to Archie and to all the RO's who worked this match and to all the behind the scene folks. This was a great match and one that has always been one of my favorites. This makes my 5th or 6th Classic and each one is better than the last and every one was great. I also want to recognize LimCat for their contribution, and yes I'm the guy that one the Open Gun, they build a great gun and I look forward to learning and shooting this gun.
  4. Sudden Death, did you have to say it like that " that he used a glock". You have no earthly idea what you have done now with mover5. I will hear no end to it. Anyways, it doesn't really matter Todd did a great job and i would have sworn he used one of the other shooters Glock 34 just to show everyone, not only his great skill but how quick that glock comes back to point of aim.
  5. Yea, maybe a little bit but my description of Todd's performance was enjoyed by everyone
  6. I want to say a big thank you to Peter Oliver for getting me in and putting me with KC and the GLOCK shooting team. There is not a lot but those that know me will appreciate me being able to be with this group. Also wanted to say a big thanks to all that put this match on and the sponsors. Without those folks we couldn't have these matches. Besides KC(who needs no introduction...he really is good...I mean real good),Tori Nonaka and Michelle Viscusi are 2 very talented ladies. Matthew Martin will not be a A class shooter long and is a very athletic young man. We all know Jason Koon and GM cannot be far for him. This was a very young and talented group and I really enjoyed being with them. This was my first time at this match and I really enjoyed the half day format. I wished I would shot better but that is something a lot of have said after matches whether we shot well or didn't. Rodney May, u and Betty ran a great stage 5 and I just wished I could shoot that one and stage 6 over. I know better but I just could not track my front sight on that swinger and why I ran pass one....u go figure . Same thing happened on stage 6 where I had good time but I seemed to lose focus on 2 targets. Anyways I look forward to next year and hopefully be in better health and condition. Once again great match. Thank you Peter and I hope y'all know what your doing letting Brad Griffin join your club.....God help y'all
  7. Great Job by Mark,Sam and all the RO's and the behind the scene crew that no match can run without. This was my 2nd year in a row i've made this match and it is well worth it. Also wanted to say i really enjoyed shooting with that Texas group(Kevin G,Elliot,etc..Oh, and i hope Elliot finally got some relief cause he ate way too much during lunch )also enjoyed watching Chris Keen mow down stage after stage, as well as all the others including my fellow club members from Dickson,Tn. Brian S and Tom...both of which shot a very good match. For those who have wondered about this match put it down as one to go to.
  8. I drove over 8 hours to get to this match.....and it was very well worth it. This was my first and hopefully not my last Gator match. Great job by everyone,Gary and Barbara,RO's, everyone. I also want to say a big THANK YOU to all the great sponsors for this event,ya'll are great!!! I was very fortune it to be squadded and to shoot with Blake M again (first time was at the Mississippi Classic) and he is a very talented young man and a great competitor. It was great to watch him burn down a stage...again and again and again and again..... The range was unbelievable, weather great, the food...well its Louisiana and all the food down there is great but this is the real cajun stuff, not any impersonations. I first meet Gary and his lovely wife Barbara at the Tennessee state championship a few years back and then run into again at this year Alabama match at the Hotel we were both staying at. We got into a bullet discussion and he reached into his pocket and handed me some bullets and told me to "go shoot them". Well i've been shooting them ever sense. He also told me to come on down to the "Gator" well i did that also and i just wanted to say "if Gary tells you something you may want to take note that its probably something you will want to do So for anyone who has wondered about this Gator Match, put this on your short list to do for next year. You won't regret it. Hey would anyone know how to get any of the pictures the young lady was taking at the awards ceremony? Andy Wood
  9. guys i'm looking for a load using wst powder with 200gr lead bullets in a 40cal limited gun. i have been using lead a lot lately to help off-set bullet cost and looking for something that will keep the smoke down to the minimal.
  10. I was the ro running the Palm and watching for foot faults when Shaun got to the left door with Cory to my right. I wished he could have been just to my left and caught this.He was looking at the swinger he had just got thru shooting and checking his hits while shootng at another target in front of him...and it was not point blank...wasn't far but not point blank....and in case you were wondering he got 2 alpha's on the target. It was one of the neatest and funniest things i've seen in a while.
  11. This was my 2nd Miss.State match and won't be my last. John and his crew do a excellent job and put on a great weekend of shooting. Wanted to give a big thanks to Squad 2 for being such great folks and very good shooters. Also wanted to especially says thanks to Blake for showing me how its done and some very helpful advice.Wish you all the luck on the oncoming year abd the events you will shooting in.
  12. So are ya'll saying that if someone arrived Tuesday and wanted to go to the range and watch the Open/L-10 shooters that thats not permissible?
  13. Got a question for all of you guys and girls who have done this before. This will be my first Nationals and i was curious about something. Will the range have or make available a "practice area" where some one[like me] who is flying in and that gets there a day or so "early" can go to the range and shoot? My thinking here is it would be nice to be able to have a small practice session a day before the actual shooting takes place. If this is possible will the club have targets/stands set up for this or do you have to supply your own? Any other tid-bits of information will also be appreciated
  14. I don't get it???? I thought glock made a 40 cal?????? Why in the world would you want to shoot a 2011 that uses like 100 year old technology when you can shoot a glock???? Man your wierd. Alright...i see how this is going to be with you and Brad. Here i've been trying to experience and understand Tim[tpcdvc] love of the John Browning design vs the "glock perfection" that has transformed the gun world....and what does Brad and Tim do.....ridicule....slander....joke. Shame on both of ya'll. Now lets talk about the 2009 Tennessee Section Championship. Does anyone know how great the weather is in Tennessee in October.....marvelous! Have you ever experienced the "Wood Walk"....Unbelievable.
  15. Same here. I will be shooting on Friday and ROing the rest of the weekend and looking forward to it. This will be my first match to shoot Limited with something that goes by initials....S...T....i I hope my Glock 34 understands.
