  1. I am considering getting my next 1911 in hard chrome or stainless. Is there an advantage over the other? Is there a price difference? Is there a weight difference? Will the stainless exceed 43 ounces? I would like to shoot it in USPSA and IDPA.
  2. 9mm and 45acp are great calibers to reload. Save more, shoot more.
  3. I echo what Bob DuBois just wrote. I have the same setup and it is so fun to shoot. 9mm is inexpensive, almost close to prices of .22 if you reload.
  4. I can tell you are hooked. Shot so much as you can!
  5. Tripp is the most reliable. I've tried others, but still come back to Tripp.
  6. If you set your alarm clock and do it first thing in the morning it's amazing how much stuff you get done. Especially if there's no interruptions from the wife or kids
  7. Hodgon Clays for .45acp. You can use 230 or 200 grain moly coat bullet. Super clean.
  8. MAN! Never knew you can get cash for spent primers! I'm saving mine from now on!
  9. Cool looking gun! But I don't think it will fit in any concealment holster.
  10. Dawson Ice mag-well is the way to go. I had used Smith & Alexander for years, but when I switched to Ice mag-well from Dawson mag changes are effortless.
  11. Dawson has all that you need! The above links make it easy for you to shop, thanks to Rob01.
  12. Hodgdon Clays. I've been using it for 10 years and love it.
  13. Oh! A thousand dollars! Get the Sig Spartan. That is cool looking 1911!
  14. I favor the 1911. Many start with a polymer gun but most eventually go towards a 1911.
  15. Pact timer uses a 9 volt battery which has a low battery indicator. It is simple to use and the beep is loud. Can't go wrong with it.
  16. The 550 is easier to change calibers if you shoot many different guns. Very easy to visually inspect if there is powder in the case before you seat the bullet.
  17. Welcome to the sport! Get ready for some good times!
  18. Wait, how does a new shooter become MD?
  19. After a major match, I don't touch a gun for a week!
  20. I cherish the video of my son shooting the plate rack when he was 11 years old.
  21. I agree! Customer service is top notch. I enjoy going to their retail store whenever I'm in Phoenix.
  22. SIRT training pistol only come in Glock platform. Don't think they make one for 1911/2011.
  23. Get that Dillon out so you can shoot MORE for less.
