  1. Sinclair International has tools - use them. Get a copy of "Reloading for Competition" and read it about 50 times.
  2. H4895, AA2520, Benchmark, Varget - good luck with all. H4895 and Varget in Harrell's only for me.
  3. I would loose the Clays for something a little slower - 231 has been a go to.
  4. What is the proper way to lengthen the throat (leade) on a 1911 barrel. Reamer, if so will a "finish" reamer do it?
  5. Very glad to hear it! I have a house full of STIs never second thought a purchase.
  6. With fine grained powders you will get very accurate and faster dumps with most normal dispensers. I would not bother with a Charge master.
  7. I also have the S&A mag-well using stock Wilson ETM mags - no issues (cannot say that about the 9mm ETM mags). But if you are get the extended bases.
  8. What was the tested barrel lengths for each?
  9. Well no one has said it, 4.7 grns of Unique with a 125 cast bullet is a super accurate load. Yea its a little dirty, you got to clean anyway.
  10. Have had REAL bad luck with Berry's. Could not get them to hold the rifling even at mouse-fart velocities.
  11. The Colt 1911 factory standard for full loads in the 9mm 1911 is/was 14 lbs. Not saying you should run that.
  12. Use the lube you and your machine will be happier! After 10s of thousands of rounds through 2 Dillon 1050s - never a problem. Spray them, load them, shoot them. Use a product designed for this application like Dillon's lube (my favorite) or One-Shot. Use something else at your own risk.
  13. I've had bad tumbling issues with Clays and plated bullets. Hard cast - no issues. Soft plated bullets are the devil. 3.3 grns of Clays and a 180 hard cast is cheating.
  14. Lubing cases may not increase the life of the case. It does reduce the work/strain on the loading tool and the operator. I have found NO downside to lube!
  15. Check your recoil spring. A 16# will likely fix all.
  16. 14# recoil spring cleared all feeding issues - RN, SWC makes no difference all feed - Wilson, Tripp or Metal-Form. Reliability trumps all else.
  17. If you want to shoot 10mm loads get a 10mm. Or, invest in a trauma kit.
  18. In .40 or 10mm? What pistol? What was your old powder? I hope your asking about a 10mm.
  19. Time to start reloading for yourself. I don't mind cleaning, I still use Unique - but that's kind of funky.
