  1. Does anyone know if the 1.2.25 release fixes that re-syncing issue? We just ran a match this past weekend, and we ran into the same problem that I saw mentioned earlier in this thread. When I would use my Nexus 7 to pull scores from the various Nooks, it would re-sync scores that I had just pulled. For instance --- I would pull 32 scores from Nook 1. If I waited two minute and tried to sync again, Nook 1 would offer up the same 32 scores again.
  2. Is this a trophy match? Or a cash payout match? I didn't see any information posted on the website.
  3. I've never shot a level 2 under $100 either. I have just always considered the $115-$140 range to be par for the course when it comes to level 2 matches. Our SC Sectional match for 2015 is expected to be $140 ... but, you also get a Gunsta shirt and a chance to win both a plaque and cash. Our cash payouts are usually pretty good too. This is in addition to having a random draw prize table for the shooters. I think that is what draws people to our match.
  4. Level 2 match fees seem to be in that range were I shoot. It seems that you get a free shirt ($15 value) with this match too. I do agree that this match wasn't well advertised. I didn't see anything here, on the Area 6 FB page, or on any of the Florida USPSA FB pages. The only reason I knew it existed was because of the major match listing on the USPSA.org site.
  5. I didn't see any posts here about this match already. I apologize if there is already one and I just missed it. I shot and worked this match last year. I thought it was a pretty great match. The stages were fun/interesting/challenging, and everything seemed to run pretty smooth. It looks like the match wasn't getting a lot of participants this year, and then the date was moved. I think this was done so that the match no longer conflicted with some others on that same date. Unfortunately, it looks like there are still less than 30 people signed up. I just sent in my registration the other day, as did a friend of mine. I am really hoping that more people sign up for this match. They did a good job last year, and I am sure it will be just as good this year. Any ideas as to why the current participation is so low?
  6. Link for South Carolina State Match is http://www.charlestonuspsa.com . I don't have much posted other than the date for now, but I'll be adding more info soon. FYI : This is a State Championship match now .. not a sectional.
  7. Dawson CRP just adds the magwell, front fiber, mag button/catch, basepad and tooless guiderod. The blued CRP is at a REALLY good price, but you have to call them to get the price. You can pay an extra $200 and have them do a tuning job on it.
  8. I used to use a Ghost Ultimate with my Glock 24. I just started using a Ghost "The One" holster with my STI. It has the muzzle holder. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at first, but it's working out great. Very stable holster. I never feel like the gun is going to fall out. The Ghost Ultimate doesn't have the muzzle holder. Additionally, the retention ball is different and allows the gun to come out both from pulling up for pulling forward. The Ghost "The One" has a different shaped retention ball. The gun will only come out when pulled straight up. Both have the lever that allows you to lock it in such a way that you can easily unlock while drawing (for times when you have a chair start or the like).
  9. Leave production as-is. I also don't think that production optics is a good idea. I'm in favor of as few divisions as possible so that we don't end up with divisions with only a few shooters.
  10. I personally find the Front Sight magazine to be worth the extra money. I'd recommend it.
  11. I can only speak for USPSA here.... If what you have is the PRP Ultimate Match (as seen here : http://shop.powderriverprecision.net/product.sc?productId=35), your XDm is production legal. The trigger they use is a factory part, so you are still within production guidelines. The internals being non-factory make no difference. Now - the location of the grip tape will affect whether that portion of your modification moves you to limited or not. Also, once you add a magwell you will definitely be in limited. You are correct that the G34 is production legal as long as the grip tape is in the correct location. .. and I know nothing of CZs.
  12. Hey Zack --- I think you had said you submitted the request to have this function (score submission) included for USPSA as well. Was there any status update on that?
  13. I know I'm late to the game here, but we finally ran 1.2.18 at a match. No new issues. Everything went smooth. BUT -- two old issues came up. Both have to do with the export of the shooter registration information. I always get the error about the shooter numbers being misaligned (or, whatever that error message says). It seems odd that the only way to get the window to pop up that fixes this is to go through the export directly from the tablet. Additionally, once I do export, EZWS gives me an error about a shooter's USPSA #. It would be awesome if there was a way to easily validate those in-app (other than having to scan through all of the shooters manually to see if someone accidentally put a space or a dash). All in all -- App is working great. Even with the little issues, it sure beats the heck out of manually inputting scores to EZWS from paper scoresheets.
  14. The rule book doesn't seem to suggest that. Here's the text on promotions (found on the 5th page, or "V USPSA Handgun Rules, February 2014 Edition" : Although - they use the phrase "may result" instead of "will result". Who knows what other criteria is used behind the scenes. It may depend on how close you were to already being in the next class, or how far into the next class you shot. Where in the rulebook does it say that there has to be at least one or more GMs in a division at a major match in order for it to count as a classifier? I can't find that anywhere in the book, but I've known that to always be the case.
  15. Same thing just happened to me. I took 2nd C at my state's recent sectional match. I shot ~62% (w/ two GMs in my division). I got the letter in the mail stating that I was auto-bumped to B.
  16. Yes --- the webfile is for results uploading. but that is exactly what we are asking for. Instead of having to move everything over to EZWS to be able to post results to uspsa.org, why not just write a method in practiscore to do it? It seems that a lot of people prefer to have their results on uspsa.org. I know that our club and the surrounding clubs prefer it that way.
  17. Yes -- This. I also believe that uspsa.org should be where official scores are posted. Zack -- yes, the file that is generated by clicking the "web file" button on the match results screen of EZWS is what we need Practiscore to be able to create in order to upload results. If Practiscore had this functionality, I could completely eliminate EZWS from my toolkit.
  18. I think the answer is still no --- but, does Practiscore export the webfile needed to post scores on USPSA yet? I know that it does the activity file, and I would think that exporting the scores file would be such a simple function to write. I keep having to dump everything to EZWinScore to get everything to the USPSA website (where most of our shooters prefer to see the scores).
  19. Did you guys run 1.2.18 today? I did not -- stayed with .12 since Doug was running things. We'll be running .18 at the next match for sure.
  20. JC -- you mentioned that you don't advocate a squad carrying a Nook with them from stage to stage. My assumption is that this is based on the idea that if that particular Nook bit the dust, you would lose scores for an entire squad instead of just for one stage. If scores were lost for a stage, you could either do a reshoot on that one stage, or you could simply throw out that stage. Is this the reason? I ask because I don't like the idea of leaving a Nook on a stage for some reason. It's my IA background whispering in the back of my brain that there is something not secure about doing it that way -- even though I really can't point to any great reasons. For my USPSA matches, I assign a Nook to a squad. I mitigate the issue of losing an entire squad's scores by grabbing my master out of my shooting back every 20-30 minutes or so to pull down scores from all of the tablets. This isn't really an issue for me because I like seeing how the squads are progressing and how the shooters are shooting anyhow. Since I have a mitigation strategy to cover issues with losing scores --- is there any other reason why I shouldn't be assigning a Nook to a quad?
  21. So -- is there a general consensus that 1.2.18 is good to go? I've been running 1.2.12 for our USPSA matches for the past few months, and I've been hesitant to update to any newer version since I know that .12 will work for my needs. I'll give 1.2.18 a try on Saturday if everyone says it is good.
  22. I ran into a bunch of odd problems when I first rooted the large collection of Nooks I ordered. I'd have some lock up at the 5-dot bootup screen after a reboot, I'd have some just randomly reboot and factory-restore themselves. , etc. Luckily, no problems after I finally got them rooted and in use for matches. I do keep a few around as backups just in case something does go wrong. And, I also pull the master out of my bag and pull scores every 15-20 minutes during match day. I'm paranoid like that. Never know when one of these little things are going to fail on me.
  23. I'm running 1.2.12 on the master and on the scoring nooks this weekend. The 1.2.15 crash I experienced scared me away from trying it. Although, I am going to try to replicate sometime today so that I can submit a detailed bug report.
