  1. Dennis, You did not have to clean it, I would have taken it dirty !!!!!! Hop
  2. Dennis, I have 625-3 too, instead of doing all that just sell it to ME ! On a side note, got me a big FAT doe with 657 this morning !!! Hopalong
  3. Yeah, What Merlin SAID !!! Hopalong
  4. zhunter, Either should work well... The biggest thing is how well your gun(s) like them. On the Semi wad cutters make sure the shoulder of the bullet is outside of the case, on .45 ACP it is just slightly out if you go with Factory Length. I myself use both, the Semi wad cutters really cut a nice pretty hole though. Hope that helps. Hopalong
  5. It is MY guess that Shred is trying to " catagorize" things and decided this info needed to be else where.... Nothing wrong with using search. HOP

    The reload

Ya'll may want to ask SPOOK how to do it???? (see Accomplishments thread on faster reloads) Hopalong
  9. John, I stand corrected, I had his E-mail address..... and you have already taken care of that for me, Thanks SAM
  10. RW, Yes Vic does have a website, I will find it for you and get it when I get back from work this afternoon, That is if John R. doesn't have it posted already, and I don't know if it is Phoenix but it is somewhere in AZ. SAM
  11. Matt, 6 match points !!!!! if only you could have done better at A-3 ,or got to shoot 1 more match!!! Oh well you could definately call Production a close race for sure. Hop/SAM
  12. Yeah, Spook said it And If you keep that up you will be out of A class very soon Hop
  13. Ok, if no takers how about this? If I(and any one else I can scratch up) come to shoot your match (Georgia boys/gals) in August you will have to come shoot the southern revolver championships (my match) in most likely OCTOBER. It will be a sanctioned USPSA match so flatsides will be welcome, but revolvers will be emphasized. Fair Trade? Hop Stillpraying, NOT taken as a serious challenge( or insult) and not meant to be one either !!, just trying to get some more participation.
  14. Jake, Since when did Bjorn become SPPOK ? "Live Long and Prosper"
  15. Sounds like an Honest to Goodness challenge to me.... What Division? I don't have an Open Blaster but would shoot my Limited gun in it if need be.... Revolver Division preferred though Have Glock 17 100% factory gun.... Have Kimber .45 for L-10 if you are die hard L-10.... (single stack ect)Old school though Have Para P16-40 LTD for Limited/Open, Might shoot it L-10 too unless you subscribe to the above. I'm Up for it.... (unless that thing called a JOB gets in the way) FWIW, I am fairly good with the wheel gun, OK with 1911 style guns and am an also ran with that matel toy SAM/HOP
  16. Dennis, I use a Smith & Wesson 657 (41magnum) with a 6 inch barrel. I have a 2x Boush&Lomb pistol scope on it I won at the TN Section in 2003 value of around 3-4 Ben Franklins (I was shooting Limited at the time) right now using Federal 210 grn hollow points. (work good) Have shot 1 nice 7 point and 1 doe with it, the other(shot) was a coyote(No I did not try to eat it ) The 7 point was about 80 yds away and the doe was 40 (both estimates on range) I really like this set up, the gun groups in a scoal can at 100 yds IF you hold it still Oh well, back to the 625, deer season ends here the 9th of Jan, 2005 HOP
  17. Jim, For our Local matches we use a score sheet designed by Lynn Jones, really easy to use, set up for 6 stages though. SAM
  18. Well I hit the range today, first time since middle of OCTOBER. SOMEONE turned a skunk out on the range for it really STUNK !!! I guess that goes back to the old saying "USE IT OR LOSE IT!" I practice on Steel so I don't have to tape any holes ect. (usually 8 inch plates) back in OCT. I had no problem of sub 1 second draw hit the plate at 10 yds with a miss just every now and then. Today my fastest one was 1.07 and to guarantee a hit was a turtle pace of 1.25 Oh and reloads SUCKED too, time to dry fire and get back in the swing. This is what happens when you lay your blaster down and pick up the deer blaster. It IS a pistola though (3 shots in 2 Months) but got a freezer full of VENISON One thing though, my shooting Mentor said it is a whole lot easier to get it back than get it the first time... SAM
  19. John, I had a Wolff reduced power in it before the Black Majic, The wolff gets its power from the full length of the ribbed spring and thus made the DA stroke really consistant, the weight was consistantly gradual if you know what I mean. Vicks Spring is built slightly different but most like the Factory spring but it gets most of its "spring" from the top half, the pull is consistant like the wolff but I guess because of the cryo treatment and the way the spring is designed you get a really "snappy" hammer fall, thus allowing to go lower on the mainspring poundage giving a softer, smoother DA trigger stroke. For me I like the Majic kit now that I can feal the difference between them. The wolff Kit is a good kit and I would recommend it to the next guy who just wants to improve his over factory, but if you are going to be serious with the wheel gun.... Vic Pickett is the way to go. SAM
  20. Trappr. Does that mean that those guys/gals down there are a bunch of gamers? (JUST could not RESIST that one)
  21. Flex, Manny goes by DABLASTER on these forums, you can PM him there.... I sent him copies of my stages for the MS 3-gun championships and he sent back score sheets that fit the bill perfect. 2 part, not stiff back yellow on back. I had 13 stages and 75 scoresheets a stage, my cost was 108.00 or something similar. SAM
  22. Denise, Thank you, If time permits would like to at least check out the ones on the stats wall. Jim, funny you asked about Cliques, there are a couple of obvious ones in our IDPA shooters but it is also our biggest growing part of the club, I invite them to shoot USPSA and most say that 1 game is all they want, can afford ect. ( I can relate to that too) and we have only 1 active GM and he is very friendly, answers questions ect. (been doing it since 78) Flex, I have an extra revolver or two here come on down and shoot, will supply gun ammo (minor or major) targets to shoot ect. Holster too (36 belt).... Thanks for ya'lls time, maybe I'm trying to fix something that is not broken... Sam
