  1. Clean with Acetone, except barrel (only bullets through it as per Shuemann recommendation) Then Mobil 1. No snake oils / lubes on my guns....
  2. Thanks, learn something new every day
  3. My load is 3.4gr of Titegroup pushing a Berry 95 gr RNP OAL 0.975
  4. 10gr of HS-6 should be what I would try with 115s.
  5. ROs will stay away from you
  6. My Akai also has 4 popple holes, it Is going to be difficult to make major with 115 and N105. My load is 124 MG JHP on top of 11.3 gr of N105, 172 PF, at 11.8gr there is no more room in the case. This a highly compressed load . I still have not tried 3N38.
  7. Another question, The STI mags that came with the Electra 9mm seem to have welded floor plates...is there a way to take them apart to change the magazine spring?
  8. Lee dies, berry bullets and 3.0gr of Titegroup. Separating, 9mm brass from 9 Makarov....priceless
  9. Thanks, that is what I needed to hear.
  10. Just bought an STI Electra in 9 mm,. It came with 3 STI mags that look like checkmates to me. Does anyone know if there is a Wilson or Cobra mag that would work with it?
  11. + 1 not enough time for so little shooting.
  12. Thanks, that's 63 miles from my home, I will keep it in mind if I don't find anything closer.
  13. I have started to attend the local matches at Rowan County, Stateville and Spartanburg but I have not joined a club yet. In the meantime is there a place I can Chrono? Any public range that will allow practice from a holster?
  14. 1050, 38 súper die in station 1 and undersize die in station 2
  15. He will... once he checks out the 1050. There is something extremely seductive about smoothly running machinery. 14 years ago I sold my 550 and bought an RL1050; I still regret it.... as much as I love my 1050 with the bullet feeder I would like to have my 550 for load development and the odd times I reload small quantities of 9x18 or 44 magnum. That is why you never buy just one 1050. Plus you need a couple of 650-s. BTW, why not do load development on the 1050? My 1050 is set up for 38 SC if I have to develop something for my 44MAG it takes some time to change the turret, shellplate, primer system, it would be easier if I still had my 550.

  17. Buy a 550, will last forever and if you decide to sell it can always get most of your money back...but you won't sell it once you start using it.
  18. How are they speed wise compared to MG with the same charge? Any noticeable difference in FPS?
  19. I am in the same boat as you. When I switched to open from limited something strange happened, I started using my right eye (non dominant ) because is were the dot was. If I shoot weak hand I go back to using my dominant eye. I use to fight it, tape my glasses, close one eye. Not anymore, just raise the pistol and see the dot. I don't care what eye I am using. Should have switched years ago. Give Open a try.
