  1. This is an apples to oranges comparison!! LOL No, but really, I'd say your pretty close. I as well figured L10 would be higher than Prod.... Mainly due to PF.
  2. Hey guys, Does anyone have any experience with 2011 or 2012 Xterras? I am in the market for a new car, and I have really been looking hard at a 2012 Xterra Pro4X. It is the "off road" version, and has a rear locker, skid plates under everything, Bilsteins, roof mounted lights, and a few other extras. My first choice was a Tacoma TRD... But it is just to tight for my big frame. Anyone know if they are a well built SUV? Reliable engine? The mpg rating sucks, and the full box frame and leafs in the back make it more of a "truck" like ride.... But I kind of like the no nonsense off road concept. Anyways... Just looking for opinions and comments. Thanks!
  3. I wish I could combine the Stag and Loki... I like the Loki reciever, lower, and adjustable gas... but with the Samson forearm and Super 3 gun trigger.
  4. Great, So the AFG should match up pretty well with the 4" rail im guessing? Does the Samson have threaded holes?
  5. Hey guys, Im real close to ordering a Stag 3G, but have a simple question. Is it possible to easily add a Magpul AFG to the forearm? Is the Sampson forearm threaded in any way on the bottom that allows easy installation of a small rail? Thanks for the info!
  6. Welcome, Im just jealous we didnt have a shooting team at State a few years ago when I was there! Great group of guys at Magnolia, you'll have fun and learn a lot. You guys should get together some matches at Starkville Gun Club ( at least steel matches )... I'd probably drive up for them. FYI, I was the tall guy in the red hat Sunday. HA
  7. No, that was out of my 9mm Trojan. Like was posted above, I'm going to try this American Select (faster) and see if that helps the smoke. Just having trouble finding data for AS.
  8. Just chronoed some precision 125 FPs over universal. I was around 130PF with these two. 4.2 grn at 1.125 4.0 grn at 1.110 The latter is what I decided on. It shot nicely. BUT, it was too smokey for my tastes. I have some American Select I am going to try under the same bullets, hopefully it will be less smokey???
  9. I have A LOT of American Select. I know it's faster, and wanted to try it, but cannot find any 9mm data for it??
  10. Jd, What weight precisions are you using? If N320 will not smoke with Precisions I'll order some tonight! Ha. And yes the Molys smoked SLIGHTLY less, but not much. Shouldn't have played with your AR so long today and you could have come given me your opinion on them! LOL BTW, I shot Ricks LMT a little. Smacking the 200 yd gong was not a problem, even with his $60 Dot haha. You guys are hard on my check book.
  11. Het guys, So Im a new 9mm reloaded, and finally got to the range today and shot some over the chrono. The good news is that all the loads ended up right where I thought they would, fed reliably, and where consistent. I tried 2 diff types of bullets with incremental charges, and found the sweet spot with both bullets making 130-135 PF. The PROBLEM is that whoa they were smokey. Enough that it was affecting my transitions on a plate rack. Here are the loads that chronoed where I want them: 125grn precision moly FP 4.0 grains Universal Clays 1.11 OAL 125grn Velocity LRN 4.0 grains Universal Clays 1.135 Both of these loads felt great, and we're at about 130 PF. They smoke BADD though. Is that just the nature of this powder/ bullets? Or am I doing something wrong? I have some Unique I am going to try as well, but I'm betting it's not much better.
  12. As said earlier, price makes it sounds like a 686 gold E. Amazing shotgun. EXTREMELY popular on any skeet field you go to. A 30" Gold E is a perfect clays gun, and will last a LONNGGG time.

Best?? A Super X1 set up for you. Beretta Teknys is right there with it. You can't go wrong with a 391, they are great.
  14. That's pretty hard to argue with I gues lol. Still wondering about recipe or data difference though?
  15. How do they compare to CCIs? I've loaded shotshells for years, but just getting started in pistols. Does the load data/ powder charge have to change with diff primers?
  16. Saw that the Magtech SP primers are on sale at Grafs for $99/5K. Seems like a pretty good deal, IF they are worth buying?? The Sellier&Bellot SP primers are the same price. Anyone have exp. with either of these two? Worth buying some?
  17. thanks for the replies, Is Universal an all around good 9mm powder? relatively clean? A fellow shooter is going to give me a good deal on some if I want it.
  18. Unless your sitting on A LOT of powder and A LOT of shot, I can't see getting into shotshell reloading for 12ga or 20ga unless you are a competitive shooter or just love reloading. There is obviously savings to be had with 28 and .410 though.. That being said, anything MEC is great. Obviously the PW and Dillon machines are amazing, but they aren't cheap. I have MEC sizemasters set up for 12, 20, 28, and .410. I have loaded thousands and thousands of rounds on them. My dad has a few MECs that he has had since before I was born, they run like new.
  19. Thanks for the reply Bobby, Yea, those loads shot really well. They were very soft in my STI, but honestly, they felt a LITTLE sluggish compared to the snappy 115grn factory loads I've been running. I may very well end up liking that feeling, but right now I'm compromising with the 125grn.
  20. Getting access to a chrono is not a problem. I'm just trying to get some good loads made up before I actually shoot them. I don't want to load anything unsafe.
  21. Thanks for the info, My thought right now is to start with the 125 LRN, about 4.5grns of Unique, and start at 1.15 OAL ( if it does not touch the lands ) How do I know what OAL to start the 125 FP at if I want to keep the same powder charge/ velocity? The fact that it is FP changes the OAL measurement a lot does it not? BTW, I'm trying to just make Minor by a comfortable margin.
  22. Thanks, I believe I am going to start with the Unique and Velocity 125grn LRN, and see what I get. Anyone have any other suggestions??? OR input on the OALs? That one part that is stumping me.
  23. Hey guys, So, I bought a press, ordered a couple of different bullets, some powders, and primers, now I'm trying to figure out how to put them all together! Ha I ordered/have: 500 Velocity Bullet 125grn. LRN 500 Moly Precision bullet 125grn FP Unique powder Universal powder CCI primers And might order some Solo 1000 SO, Ive read and researched a lot of data on the powders, but I'd like to hear from some of you that have some real life experience with these components. Also, if published data gives me an OAL for LRN or LCN and not FP, or vise versa, how do I know what OAL length to load the different bullets?
  24. I hope Brandon does not mind me adding to his thread, But on a side note when answering about color, which Oaks do you guys prefer for shooting? Radars, or M frames?? I am slightly red/green colorblind, so lens color is pretty important to me. When I was shooting shotguns a purple lens helped the clays stand out against a tree/sky background, but I have not settled on a color for pistol shooting yet.
