  1. The 124gr V2 projectiles have been available/shipping almost uninterrupted since the beginning of the year... up until this week. The pause in availability this week is simply due to shifting some resources and servicing the 115gr V2 customers (the 115s are now available). The 124's should be available again pretty quickly. We are working toward having constant availability of both products, but their popularity has grown at a rate that is not necessarily simple to respond to. As @shred noted, changing to the "standard" 124gr JHPs usually only requires a minor seating adjustment. Personally, I'll swap between the two in multiple guns with no changes other than a tweak of the seating die.
  2. That is mental gymnastics. You're the one that conflated 2.5.1 and sending someone to their car to unload a handgun. They are not interchangeable, and 2.5.1 does not make allowance for the latter. 2.5.1 specifically allows for handling of a loaded firearm in a designated area (marked or otherwise), and requires a "suitable impact zone" or backstop (usually not found at a random car in the parking lot). Again, what someone does inside of their own car is their business. I think we agree there. Generally speaking, it doesn't fall under the purview of match officials. However, a match official instructing an unknowing attendee to load/unload a handgun at or in their vehicle, in lieu of overseeing that action in a safe setting is poor match management at best.
  3. This is true for probably 90% of all USPSA matches I've attended.
  4. Who said anything about a rule covering the "parking lot"? You said sending someone to their car to unload a gun is in compliance with 2.5.1, but you chose to skip over one of the main "unloading" area requirements (as defined by 2.5.1). I pointed it out, and you skipped over it again. If someone wants to load/unload their firearm while sitting in their car, that's their own prerogative, and as long as they are fully inside their car, they can do whatever they want. But, a car in the parking lot hardly meets the requirements of 2.5.1, and shouldn't be used under the guise of 2.5.1. To be clear, I've pulled up to almost every single USPSA match I've ever shot with a loaded EDC gun. In every instance, the loaded gun and holster comes off before I exit my car and stays locked in my car for the duration of the match. I usually subscribe to the "your car is not a holster" mantra, but certain situations are unavoidable. And to answer your question, a guy fiddling with a loaded gun, out of the holster in the parking lot is a vastly different situation than the same person operating under USPSA rules, in a safe direction, under the supervision of two ROs. To conflate the two seems disingenuous. This is, quite literally, the reason for 2.5.1 (and the requirement for a backstop) in the first place.
  5. Eh. It would be a giant leap to say that some car in the parking lot is in compliance with 2.5.1. 2.5.1 says the unloading area "should be clearly marked with a sign, and must include a suitable impact area". Frankly, I'd rather not have some guy randomly unloading his duty/carry gun in the car parked next to me.
  6. Shoot me your emails and I'll confirm that they are in the notification system. Be sure to check your spam folders too. As a note, the email notifications are quantity specific. So if you want to be notified for more than one quantity variant, you'll need to request a notification for each quantity.
  7. There have been A LOT of the 124 jhps produced and sold since November, and most quantities were regularly available up until about two weeks ago. The email notification system usually works pretty well. If you aren't receiving notifications, shoot and email to info@precisiondelta.com and we can look into it for you.
  8. Thought I'd give the "inside scoop". The 124gr JHPs (V2 and standard) just seem to be more popular than ever. Anytime inventory gets updated, they get eaten up pretty quickly. That said the V2s are usually pretty available, you just have to act quick when you get an email notification. Due to an unscheduled personnel absence and a brief machine repair both occurring in the same week, the availably of the standard 124 JHPs did suffer a bit. However, they should be back to "normal" by next week. We've also had winter weather and icing the past few days (which is very uncharacteristic for our area), that has prevented us from processing and shipping orders like normal. The 115gr products will be back up soon as well. I apologize for any inconvenience. Just know that we are cranking out bullets, and doing our best to make them available for you guys. Things should feel "normal" very soon. We truly appreciate they loyalty from our competitive customers. Always feel free to reach out by email (info@precisiondelta.com) if you have any specific questions. Steven
  9. A lot of good suggestions and points have been made. I'll address a few..... If you are using the "standard" PD 124gr JHP, there is very little reason to load to 1.14" for minor. PD's factory loading with this projectile is 1.100". 1.100-1.120" is really the best window for standard pressure loads in most pistols. PD's jacket alloy is very common and widely used in the jacketed projectile industry. It does not need any special consideration. I'd never recommend adding One Shot, or any other lube to the projectiles themselves. Other reasons aside, it's possible that it could promote setback in some pistols. Especially with truncated-cone (flat point) JHPs. In the context of re-sized brass, "wasp waisted" 9mm cases are perfectly acceptable. In theory, they may even have merit in that they contact the bullet in a more uniform fashion. The wasp waist effect will be noticeably more prominent when using Lee U-die. Overall, don't get too hung up on the "aesthetic" of your loaded rounds if they case gauge, chrono, and shoot well. If the case bulge is not concentric, meaning that it is more noticeable on one side of the case than the other, it is possible that your seating stem is not contacting the projectile in a consistent way, and is not seating the projectile straight into the case. If the seating stem presents the bullet off-axis, it can stretch the case, create a bulge, and even cause case tension issues.
  10. A medical professional insinuated that "ignorance is bliss"? I think I'd be finding a new healthcare provider.

  12. Are you using sufficient lube? If not, you should.
  13. Instead of "FOB" (which I'm not sure is actually happening in these cases), I'd be looking into how much case is unsupported by the barrel.
  14. Anyone else notice how effective Officer Engelbert was with his offset dot during recent (tragic) events in Nashville?
  15. Yes, you missed something. lol, just messin with ya. You were probably seeing their two belt combos. As another FYI, Precision Delta (who a lot of people here do business with anyway) carries Kore belts, and has sales on them from time to time. Inventory is limited currently, but will be restocked with a lot of options soon. https://www.precisiondelta.com/products/pro-shop/shooting-accessories/kore-gun-belts/
  16. Just for reference, Kore has a better selection of options and is less expensive.
  17. Sure. I think in most cases, divisions and/or equipment rule sets should represent, or be based on, specific and/or unique competitive challenges. This will not always coincide with industry trends or what's "popular", and IMO "popularity" isn't necessarily a good indication of a divisions validity. This may not be the best way to "pump the numbers", or attract newcomers from every corner of the firearms industry, but I think it's the recipe for a healthy and stable competitive environment.... which, in turn attracts and creates a more invested and healthy membership.
  18. Agreed. I’m as die hard Limited as anyone, but 9mm, slide ride optic “Limited” guns will be the death Nail for Limited as we know it.
  19. There are plenty of people (myself included) that think that's what LO SHOULD be (if it must exist). But I'm also not dumb enough to think that's what it will be, or was ever intended to be. Frankly, I don't consider a divisions (possibly temporary) "popularity" a meaningful determination of it's competitive value within the sport.
