  1. Why not just buy 4 or 5 more of the pick up tubes in both sizes. you could load 5 tubes of large and she could then load 5 of small. only one change MVZ
  2. Tried One-Shot today aftre 9 years of reloading dry WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! MVZ
  3. While running a stage I usualy have a 170 in the gun and 2 140's on the belt Usualy I take 3 170's and 6 140's to the match, but use the same 3 on all stages The rest are home in the safe MVZ
  4. Why not give Bevin a call? 949-548-3745 MVZ
  5. We use the steel no shoots to prevent shoot throughs. what we do is put a paper IPSC over the steel and score no shoots as appropriate MVZ
  6. Maybe the stat person is like those in most clubs, burned out, over worked & underpaid voulenters who are doing the best they can. Things like submitting classifiers, finding the treasurer to write the check to USPSA etc. might go a lot smoother if more people stepped up and helped out MVZ

  8. Erik Warren should have been the Grand Prize winner on this question
  9. Shooting 38 super in anything but open will cause you to be scored "minor". Major power factor for Limited L-10 etc. req. minimum of 40 S&W
  10. If the shooter was engaging a target there is no DQ MVZ
  11. I don't cut out the A zone. I do not tape any A zone hits only the C and D hits. Same theory but I am looking at full targets MVZ
  12. It's a game guy's IPSC is a game! USPSA is a game! IDPA is a game! In each of them they keep score! It's a game! Ive seen some shooters who play the game by the letter of the rules and others who push and bend the rules as far as they can get away with (IDPA & IPSC) TRaining? for what? Here in No. Kalif. it's very difficult if not impossible to get a CCW. Recent Match of 40+ shooters = 3 LE's and the rest Civilians NOT A CCW AMONG THEM!!! IT'S A GAME!!!!! HAVE FUN!!!! JUST SHOOT!!!! mvz
  13. At our club TASC,in Nor. Cal. we have extended an open invite to any IDPA shooter to come shoot with us for free (first match) and experience shooting USPSA style. We let them know what our rules are but also tell them if they want to shoot the COF tacticaly thats OK. Those who have taken up the offer have really enjoyed the higher round count stages and have even been seen to leave partialy loaded mags on the ground. Both are games and people need to relax and have fun MVZ
  14. While its good to ask questions of the top shooters be cautious. As a C soon to be B shooter your skill level is not up to theirs and shooting a stage as they do can be disasterous ( been there done that ) . MVZ
  15. Darkm enough were you arn't squinting. No darker MVZ
  16. IMO, try to find ways to eliminate extra or unneccesary movement and steps. also try to be ready to shoot sooner entering shooting positions, boxes. ports etc. MVZ
  17. Stop the shooter and reshoot. Safety must come first and is the RO's?SO's primary resposability I thought IDPA wasnt about compitition???????
  18. I rarely get involved in these discussions so treat me like the lurker I am. However, the rule 10.5.3 does not say anything about it having to hit the ground. It states " drops or causes it to fall". If the gun is in the air out of your control you have caused it to fall. I know 99% of shooters believe if it don't hit the ground, no harm no foul, but that is not how the rule reads. Trying to catch a falling loaded gun in a course of fire is asking for disaster. Just ask the shooter who did it at Reno on the oven mitt stage in the mid-90's. Jay <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My question involved an UNLOADED gun OUTSIDE of a course of fire, when it is not a DQ to drop a gun, only a DQ to pick it up without calling an RO. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Read Flex's reply
  19. Two hints Mark. Use your sights and wait until I'm not standing sideways (more target area!) Nolan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nolan Good to see you and shoot with you yesterday MVZ
