  1. I shoot a Remmy 1100CM and just love it. Haven't had any trouble with it (knock on wood). Only saw the JP one after I got the CM, would have gone for the JP instead. I had the SX2 MKII on order for more than a year at Traders Sports in San Leandro, but when they told me that it's not coming anytime soon, I decided on the 1100CM (this was in 2003). I just got a Benelli M2 that I'll be sending to Benny Hill, see how it goes. I still want to try shooting an SX2 since it was my first choice. BerKim, which range do you go to for Thursday night practice? Is it the RRGC? I would like to do some practicing myself. Thanks. Dan, like what BerKim said its best if you can try the different guns and compare the differences. I too shoot in Richmond, CA. the next long gun match will be in May. If you're not ready to shoot the match by then, it's a good time to check out the different shotgun flavors. Good luck!
  2. Amen Sinistral! I think you nailed it on your last statement. Your skills will develop on whatever equipment your training on and eventually master how it functions.
  3. That's a no for me. I just make sure that the gun is safely positioned on the side without touching any part of my body or leg. At the start signal, I grab the gun as I stand up. It might be a different story if the stage requires the shooter to be fully standing before drawing.
  4. I have the Foul Out II, which I used for years. I shoot lead bullets on my 1911 and always amazed how it works everytime I use it. Removes all lead build up in the barrel. Worth every cent.
  5. If you need replacement parts, check out http://www.parts4guns.com I lost mine before and found it at this website. Very nice people.
  6. I have the latest Limcat holster for my Gold Cup. The gun has too much play with the round trigger guard but holds the gun securely when locked. No doubt its a quick and smooth holster, but when my gun fell off during a practice session at the range; got it off my belt and I am now using a CR Speed. I think its the best for round trigger guards. I will still use my Limcat for STI/SV guns.
  7. Anybody got anything on the PACT Club Timer III? Pros and Cons please Thanks
  8. Pat, great vids. Any word on when the Practical Shotgun Challenge will be held? Thanks.
  9. WOW!!! All that discussion was overwhelming. Now, I am really in need of your help. Just a few months ago I was able to put a rifle intended for MOR, this is the first time I'm shooting a bolt rifle and have no idea about long range shooting. I wasn't really going all out with this due to my new love of shooting 3-gun (the bug bit me really bad), but here I am again wanting to get into it more. I have spent too much already and just wanted to spend on what is really necessary to get me on the playing field of MOR matches. Below is what I currently have: Remington 700P in .308 26" barrel Badger rings and base (20 MOA cant) Leupold 3.5-10x40mm M1 Duplex reticle Harris S-L bipod Nothing fancy, fairly stock. If anybody can just guide me to the right direction and tell me what I should do with my equipment without spending over $700.00 more. I can auction my scope in e-bay, I only shot this rifle once to zero it at 100 yards. Thanks in advance.
  10. Anybody driving from the San Francisco bay area? I happen to own a house in Vegas 10-15 minutes from the range. Will trade room for the ride.
  11. Is it possible to see a picture of it? Still haven't picked up mine yet (waiting period ), just want to see how its gonna look like after you work on it .
  12. Excellent responses, could not say it any better. I too had the same problem before, but fixed it with a lot of dry fire drills focusing on the front sight. Start with a good sight picture and slowly pull the trigger focusing on the front sight, making sure it does not move when the hammer drops. It should be a surprise when the trigger breaks.
  13. Excellent work GG, I just got an M2 and its good to know that accessories are already being worked on.
  14. Are you talking about the orange colored one that sells for $26.75 for a box of 25?
  15. Here's a thread from Max Michel Jr.'s website about polishing magazines. http://www.maxmichel.com/forum/viewtopic.p...=asc&highlight= Check it out!
  16. Got your e-mail, but my M2 has not come in from the dealer yet, but I'm going to let Mr. Benny Hill do all the work and it includes the mag extension. But if I was going to get the extension, I was opting for the Briley tube. Thanks for asking. Let me know how it turns out.
  17. Thanks for the info. Set with the Pocket Pro then. I like the PACT IV but got no use for the chrono feature and I like the size of the Pocket Pro. The CED8000 might be good, I just don't like the folding style. Have you guys seen the chest holder for the CED? http://www.cedhk.com/photo.php?oid=110715&type=image/gif Looks awkward to me.
  18. Any details on how to tune mags? Please share. Thanks.
  19. I'm actually thinking of getting the Pocket Pro for practice, since I got the CED chrono already. Are you saying that it doesn't have the feature to show splits or there's a button for this? Would really suck as it's one thing that I really want to see during live practice.
  20. Thanks Mike, I'll check it out.
  21. Benny, Took your advise and went for the M2 Field with 21" barrel. Don't know when it's coming in though and I would like to give it a test run before I send it to you, so I can compare before and after you work on it. As for the mag tube, I want to make it 8+1 so which tube should I get Briley's or DMW's? The Benelli one will only make it 7+1, right? Thanks.
  22. Here's what I use on my blaster... Front: https://www.hivizsights.com/cart/shopexd.asp?id=36 Rear: https://www.hivizsights.com/cart/shopexd.asp?id=38 I use a red lite pipe for the front in contrast to the green rear. Works out really well for me. Chuck, I like the set you have. Who makes it? Thanks.
  23. I would like to see that picture if I may...
  24. I've always used the Federal $2.98/box from Wal-Mart on my CM and never (knock-on-wood) had a problem. I love how it performs and always believe in "If it works, don't dick with it". But I also want to be ready for the unexpected and to prevent any problems. So, I might drill the gas ports to be on the safe side; in case I have to use different ammo.
  25. Nice rifle Michael, pretty much got the same setup, but in .308 and without the detachable magazine. I used to be on the same boat when deciding which one to buy, talked to a lot of shooters from Sniper's Hide forum and got excellent tips. Same as you, it was intended mainly for MOR matches and don't want to spend a lot of dough on it. What you have now is plenty, next thing to do is getting to know what your rifle can and cannot do. Use quality match ammo when doing this, once you're down with the wind drift and bullet drop; and know exactly how your rifle performs, you might even forget about changing barrel or stock. What barrel do you have now and which mag system did you get? Thanks.
