  1. TMC, did you check out the range yet? Is I-215 West open all the way to Charleston now? Thanks.
  2. +1 on the Bar-Sto. Had one installed on my G22 by CGR.com, big difference in accuracy compared to the stock barrel.
  3. Here's my new shotty from Mr. Benny Hill. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to shoot it stock and cannot compare how it shoots now, but the action is a lot smoother and lighter. Everything about it feels like a charm. I'll be shooting it for the very first time at the 3-gun Nats. Hopefully, I won't choke and shoot it thinking its my 1100CM. Got to get use to the release button (what button...see the quick release lever, sweeeet). Never got to practice due to work. Anyway, just want to say THANK YOU to Benny for the fine job. Benny, I know you said that I don't need the extended choke tube; but I already bought it when I asked. Used it anyway. Do I need to leave it loaded with dummy rounds and bolt locked back to prep it for the Nats?. Any suggestions, since I did not break it in? See you in Vegas, VIVA!
  4. +1 on the CR Speed. I used a Safariland 007 for my Glock before and was never comfortable picking up stuff without holding the gun to prevent it from falling. I used the 010 for my 1911 and was happy with it. I just make sure I tighten the retention screw all way to prevent the gun from falling.
  5. Originally, I placed an order for an SX2 Practical MKII. For over a year, the order never came. Called Winchester and said that production is on hold as they were researching to fix some issues from the first production. Cannot wait and decided on the 1100CM instead. I've been using it for three years now and I am very happy with it (still out shoots me). I shot some trap to break it in and clean it between 100 to 200 rounds. Did not do any mods on it and have always used Federal (Wally World special) ammo (PMC 00 bucks and Winchester full power slugs at one match) and never had any malfs whatsoever. I recently had Mr. Benny Hill do a full job on a new Benelli M2 for the 3gun nats. I'm suppose to receive it today and have this weekend to break it in and get comfy with it (never fired it at all). Honestly, since I'm not familiar with the Benelli yet and don't want to get a visit from Murphy (I trust the gun but cannot trust myself with new stuff that quickly without test driving it a few times); I just might end up using the 1100CM at the nats. But that will be decided on tomorrow when I shoot the M2 (planning to put 100 rounds through it).
  6. I just loaded 180gr Winchester bullets with 4.4gr TG at 1.125. Will chrono this Saturday out of a G22 with Bar-Sto barrel and post the result.
  7. We should do the member shoot around that time and celebrate BE's big 5-0!
  8. Thank you guys for all your response, showed the wifey this thread and was able to get her to help me out with the cost. The only thing is I have to wait 'till Christmas. I'm sure the 650 will more than serve my purpose, but I really don't mind the longer caliber change. I like working on this kinda things, it relaxes me. Super 1050 it is!
  9. You guys are awesome, made life so much easier. I figured that there's got to be a reason for the big $$$ price tag. I am very passionate about our sport (just wish I can shoot better ) which is why I prefer to get best quality equipment that will outlast me. Thanks again!
  10. This question might have been asked a million times, but here it goes anyway. I will be handing down my 550 to my brother-in-law and will be in the market for new equipment. Comparing the facts & figures in Blue Press for both machines there's not much difference between the two but the hefty price tag. When I called Dillon and inquired about the payment plan for the 1050 (and without asking anything else) the rep told me that depending on what I need it for, the 1050 is longer to change calibers and much more expensive than the 650 (did not mention I was comparing), which does not have a payment plan; and that the 1050 is not really for everybody. I said thank you and that was the end of the phone call. Not too informative I should say, so here I am asking in the forum. Just need to know the key advantages of the 1050 (trying to justify for it). Thank you.
  11. I just knew I'm gonna get this! Actually, all that is what I'm planning to do with the wifey and two daughters.
  12. For the buffet eaters, make sure to try the Bellagio and the new Wynn's buffets. Kinda pricey but the food is great. For the ladies who wants to go shopping, check out Las Vegas Fashion Mall on the strip or the new Las Vegas Fashion Outlets off Charleston (same street as the range going towards the strip, just right after I-15). For those who got time to go sightseeing, check out the new Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson (take I-215 East all the way to the resort entrance) and make sure to take the free boat tour.
  13. Some in squad 7 too. Wow, 7-11, Vegas...these are signs. Norcal people, time to hit the craps table!
  14. There's quite an interesting article about modifying the Nova HERE <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is a very interesting thread Neil, THANK YOU! Got to talk to KurtM about the modifications. The 28" barrel might be too long to whip around, might need to have it cut and re-threaded for chokes. What's a good lenght 22? GrimReaper sent me this link Carlson's Choke Tubes that can do the job. Glad to know that there's a lot of Nova shooters in our game and that I can go play without buying another pump . The Surecycle mag tube is pricey, but I'm glad it's available.
  15. Is there a barrel lenght restriction for the pump shotgun? I'm thinking of using a Benelli Nova with a 28" barrel. Need to find a mag extension for it though. I was thinking of getting an 870 but after reading the British Open match in Front Sight, I could play with my Nova.

    Area 5

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! Cool vids, well done. Jake rocks! Very motivating, sooner or later with enough practice I'll be as fast...NOT! I enjoyed the vids, thanks.

    THE Accessories

Cool, let us know so I can do the same. Thanks
  18. FWIW, I use a Blade-Tech for my G22 with the Dawson sight set. No issues here.

    THE Accessories

I lost the screw on mine too about two weeks ago and called topglock.com. They gave me the number for THE and left a message. Have not heard from them yet. Good info on the srew specs. Right now I'm using it uncaptured.
  20. Changed my mind about the V mount, will just get the riser block from JP. $14.95 per block, YMH-RB.
  21. No wonder it felt awkward when I use the damn thing, it's too low! I was checking out Chris' and did not really notice the spacers. I'm glad Dave posted this topic, time to get the V mount .
  22. I wanted to ask the same for the same reason. I'm proud of you Rika, you did very well. I should let you try my rifle (18" ultra light barrel), I think its the perfect setup for you. I told you your shirt was COOL! Norbert
  23. Thanks for setting up the match, will try to help out with setup next year. But two matches? Wish there's more, need to do a lot of practicing. I applied blue loctite on my JP gas block, hope it stays open this time. See you at the 3g nats. Rikka, good shooting. Once you're hooked, there's no turing back.
