  1. Very cool idea. There is no way I can do this in the house while my wife is at home.
  2. Check out Craigslist for a nice precor model. They are commercial units used by gyms and than sold off. I got one like that. Mine is 12 years old and still runs great.
  3. I am truly jealous of you guys that can do this program. My wife used to manage a hotel where cross fit trainers would stay almost every week. On Sundays, I would bring the kids over and we would have breakfast, so I would see them all of the time. I hoped to god that my wife didn't see the guys because I figured she would leave me. These people are some of the healthiest people I have ever seen. Is that what an adult male is supposed to look like?
  4. Food, food, food. Your body is largely a reflection of what you eat. Change your diet and you WILL see a difference. Easy rules. I started eating much like I had diabetes. I do not. The diet is fruit, vegetables, lean meat. Drink anything I want as long as it is water. That's it. Stick to that and the fat will melt off.
  5. I bought p90x on Craig's list for $75 I think. It was still wrapped in plastic. People get these all of the time and do not use them. Much like other exercise equipment. The program is great for core strength improvement. It makes you "snappier" on movement.
  6. I took up cycling a few years ago just to get healthier. I lost 44 pounds in the process. I was not really over weight. At least I didn't think I was. I was pretty shocked that I even had 44 pounds to lose. I noticed two things. The first is that my brain and body felt 20 years younger. I was lighter on my feet and I could think more clearly. I felt great. Nothing hurt. The second is that none of my pants fit. I had to go out and get new pants. I was happy. My wife was happy too...
  7. Just like golf or anything else, its amazing how much of this sport is a head game. Stop thinking about everything else and just let things happen.

    Fortune cookie

I had one once which said "trying is the first step towards failure." I was a bit confused at first. Than I laughed my ass off. I will never forget that one.
  9. Check out the Cesar guerimi. I have fondled one at the store and really like it. Price seems good too.
  10. I have had my 682 gold e for about 8 years. It has been great. However it started doubling on me about a year ago. I sent it to Barrett's expecting 6 months and several hundred $$. The gun came back 2 weeks later with 0 cost to repair. Yep, I recommend it.
  11. I don't expect much from my local Dixie. This may be a good sign of things to come. I will check it out. I have zero left...
  12. How do you figure the powder load? Great idea!
  13. I have tried all three and my humble opininn is that they are pretty much te same. One more thing to consider is magazine availability and price. Glock and m&p are tough to find. I have seen some m&p magazines go for $100. Nuts... The xdm magazines seem to be the easiest to find and the prices are not too bad.

    Glock Mags

I don't blame the stores. They need to stay in business, pay their rent, employees etc. since their distributors are out, they have to charge higher to stay afloat. Furthermore, for all we know, the distributors are charging more as well. It sucks but it is what it is. If a few extra mags cost me an extra $50-$100, than so be it. It sucks but it is a sign of the times.
  15. It does make it musher but still an improvement. I was surprised how much it made the trigger better. Do it...
  16. I had the sevigny on my 22 before I sold it and really liked them. I think it doesn't matter much. I am sure the Dawson's are great as well.
  17. Great, something else to keep in the back of my mind. Good thing I like to travel lite. Does anyone make a locking bag? Might be a good business idea.
  18. I don't think I have ever used the third mag. Just never thought of it. But it's a nice insurance policy. I figure its good to have just in case.
  19. I have been eyeballing this holster for quite some time. It looks well made. Just haven't "pulled the trigger" yet.
  20. I like to wear closet he's I already have. I tend to buy stuff that fits. I hate too loose. As someone said, it snags. Reid sells trail shoes that are comfortable and have an aggressive sole. For a vest, just a very loose shirt.
  21. If you are interested in a 5 inch pro CORE in 9mm, send me a pm. I have one I am going to list for sale.

    Trigger

This thread just cost me money.
  23. Wow. Great videos. It's amazing how much I have learned in the past five minutes. Can't wait to try this at the range.
  24. I have been flying rc helicopters for 10 years. One thing I noticed is that improvement is not linear. It plateaus. Sometimes there is a regression. It is usually when I over do it. So I have learned to take it easy/take some time off when this happens. I still try to keep my skills up with just a bit of practice. But when I come back to it, it comes back in full force.
