  1. What we're doing at our local matchs is allowing shouldered and then we have a flag that the shooter points at for his start postition. Rules seem to allow different methods...but this is what we came up with after reading the rules and seeing what others' have tried. Works well for us.
  2. BIGBAMBOO.....I run metalform (Colt) mags in my PCCs. Don't have nor use Glock mags in anything and really like the Hahn Mag blocks for my PCCs. $13 per mag on sale....and they always work. Did buy some Taylor freelance +10 extensions for several of them.
  3. I like and prefer the hahn blocks. have two, soon to make it three. spent some serious money on triggers and like the idea that all I have to do is loosen one set screw and don't have to buy another trigger for a dedicated lower. plus it's hard to find a colt dedicated lower, which I also prefer
  4. I've been shooting the PCC for over a year now....been shooting pistols in USPSA since 1991....no question...faster with the PCC. I shoot pistol and PCC at the matches(yes, two divisions at every match, no problem). The PCC is always faster no matter what other division I shoot. Open, Limited, or Limited 10....always the same. Actually, it almosts feels like I'm cheating. Others that have started shooting PCC at my local matches are the same...faster with the PCCs and it seems that most of the PCC shooters are at the top of the HOA for the matches.
  5. And why did they want to outlaw that particular comp?
  6. Where did the 1x3 rule come from? I've heard it mentioned several times but..
  7. The picture is what I have done with both of my Hybrid bolts from PSA. Added .040 height
  8. Sorry this took so long. You will still need the longer hammer that AR gold has for their AR10 application.
  9. I will try this weekend for a pic. If nothing else I "could" send it as a text if I can't get it to show up here.
  10. I'm running a jp trigger but added a .040 bump (tight welded)on the underneath portion of the bolt to make it 100%. Put a hipper fire 24c in my last build and never had any trouble with it
  11. I use the metalform 20 rounders for reloads. I can get my Palm under it just fine and smack it in if necessary. but using the 32 round to start with I don't find that I need to ever reload unless it's a classifier stage
  12. Just finished up my second PCC for a back-up or whatever. Digging around found some items on sale, plus what was in my parts box...Picked up another Hahn bottom feed for one of my .223 AR's and boom! have another one. I put a internal fake suppressor on the 16" barrel so see if that would make much difference in dot bounce. Makes the carbine "look" like a short barreled rifle with a suppressor(as the "suppressor" is not past the end of the barrel). These things are just plain fun to shoot and very inexpensive. Taking both to the match on Sunday...they'll let me shoot one of them as a "reshoot"(doesn't count for score) just to make sure everything is running correctly.
  13. My cases are the same....dirty, but wipe off easily. I clean the inside of the gun after every match....wipe out what I can reach in the bolt area and in the trigger area and blow out what ever else is in there. Using 231 for powder at a 135 power factor and 135 bullet. Runs like a champ!
  14. I've been running 135s with Hi-Tec coatings at 1000fps. Not much dot bounce...really shoots well. 3.2 grains of 231
  15. www.riflegear.com is where I bought several last summer. You may have to wait on a sale to get them under $30. I paid something around $24 for them at that time.
  16. I find that 8MOA works better for me in pcc. Tried a 2 and 4, but wasn't as fast to pick up.
  17. UFO...that's about exactly what I found out after sighting in at 10 yards. Works very well for USPSA.
  18. Since I'm only shooting pcc matches I sight in for 10 yards. this makes it just a little high at 25 yards. still hits at 100 high also but not shooting at anything past 25 yards or so at the match.
  19. If you have a mandatory reload, just load enough with the mag so that it's empty when you're coming up on a reload...bolt locks back...put in new mag, and slap the bolt release. Most AR mags are a bitch to insert and lock with the bolt forward. Of course, you will need a LRHO type of system(where the bolt locks back after the last round in the mag). And if you feel the need for one or two extra rounds, just in case you might need them before the reload, just fire them into the back stop(or a couple more hits on the paper targets) until your bolt locks back. I've done this on a number of classifiers...works well. No need for that extra hard slap on the bottom of the new mag only to have it fall out anyway.
  20. Worked with Rudy at Macon Armory....and for the Gold trigger and my JP triggers we tig welded a .040 "bump"(and polished it out) just where the ramp quits and levels out. I was getting about a 95% reliablity out of my JP triggers and wouldn't reset the Gold trigger at all. After welding up a bump on the underneath portion of the bolt everything is 100%. I do like the idea of the AR 10 hammer....might have to check in on that one.
  21. If your using the Colt type mags, get several 20 rounders....easier to reload the gun than the long 32 round mags.
  22. C-more for me also. very fast and don't feel like I'm looking down a tunnel.
  23. Thank you! It's much appreciated to have our own forum.
  24. So my question is this....does the Cmore with a standard switch actually move during firing? Does this happen with those mounted on frame mounts or slide mounts? What's the general feeling on the board? Is it neccessary to have the click switch on an open gun, but not when it's mounted on an AR?
