  1. Sorry about the crappy pictures, the light was crap and my phone wasn't thrilled about it
  2. So you are saying you want people to agree with you and don't want to hear from people who disagree with you. Sure have fun with that, let me know when you realize that the FAQ you posted is mostly a list of wants then a list of actual properties of bitcoin.
  3. Bitcoin was a cute idea but it fails at meeting its promised goals, specially because it is very unstable (more commodity then money) and because it really isn't private at all and traceable the moment you want it converted to worlds goods. What is wrong with cash exactly, federal reserve aside.
  4. You can only open up an 1100/11-87 so much before you start running into important bits, particularly the sides. The front of the loading port you cab open up a bit more. Also you will probably want to cut off a whole chunk of the handguard, basically you can cut it off to the end of the receiver and then smooth it out some more. I'll have to dig mine out and take some pictures. I recommend buying a spare trigger group. When you install the easyloader you remove quite a bit from a particular part of the lifter. It happens to be where the lifter is thin. This was never an issue when doing old fashioned week hand loading from caddies. When I started smacking into it with quads, I eventually broke the lifter right at that spot. It is a $15 worth of parts fix but not something you can fix at a match. In my opinion you will eventually want a spare trigger group with lifter and easy loader pre-installed as a spare in your bag.
  5. I like the ELS belt just fine. I really don't know why people think it is flimsy. Since I've switched over last year I have not even looked at my old CR belt
  6. I'm not sure a war belt is really all that good for 3gun. One of my buddies uses one, and I think he is struggling with available real estate. Personally I really like the ELS belt and mounts.
  7. CVA derringer, they used to be sold as build it yourself kits. http://www.theboxotruth.com/educational-zone-65-building-a-black-powder-pistol/
  8. I guess that will depend on the gun and on you. My buddy and I both have MOA built guns. Mine has NEVER chocked on the Fiochi's and it shoots them well. Jim's gun will occasionally fail to fully eject with the same ammo. Actually, the gun hasn't chocked at ALL in practice or match all year long, except when I was testing how low I can go with dram equivalent before it won't run. I guess a thank you to MOA is in order for building a stupidly reliable gun that even an idiot like me can run without failure
  9. I know I've hurt mine this winter/spring with dryfire, but mostly by doing rifle and shotgun pickups one handed. I'm working with weights and a therabar, and most days I'm ok, some days I have some pain. Tight grip is what hurts me most, not moving not bending my arm, just gripping hard. The various elbow straps work really well to alleviate the pain mid match, or if you have something you need to do, but they don't heal you. Still useful to have around, I keep on in my range bag.
  10. I find I always shoot a shotgun WORSE off a bench and better off hand. Usually with 7/8oz Fiochi's (which have never failed me) I get the holes to touch at 50 yards. I never bothered to measure the group, I figured that is good enough. That is with a LM choke.
  11. In one of the pits, he had his mag catch the lip of the dump barrel which then projectiled the gun out. With a mag that big you pretty much will want to drop the mag every time, but you already know that.
  12. Yeah .. was it on your stage one of our squad at FNH had to be DQ'ed for having the mag of his rifle catch the barrel and go around all cartwheel like? To be fair, I also proved that you can not fit a shotgun in a pistol bucket, but at least I didn't let go of it
  13. That should be fun dumping into barrels.
  14. Yes, we use that rule in NJ Cool, 10 rd Open division .... I always knew I made a great decision by leaving th state when I was 18 .... 15 but who's counting
  15. Sorry but that does't hold water. Those states could give a rats ass about USPSA, they don't need us to validate or negate their f*#kery. Also, I'll point out that about 100mil people in this country live in states with restricted magazine capacities. How much do you care about the sport and how much do you want to screw a third of the population. I don't want to screw anybody (except people from New Jersey - nobody likes them ). As I indicated, we already have Production, Single Stack and now Carry Optics that present plenty of competitive opportunities in the blighted states. When we go to dinner after matches in other states, our "friends" yell "NJ sucks!" at us in parking lots. We usually retort with "What, you think we don't know?". We are gifted with silver tongues, clearly. The problem with your statement is that by your standards Production and Carry Optics are also "validating" those silly laws. You can't be ok with 10rd and production while complaining about the L10 capacity limit, it is self contradictory. TBH, I couldn't care less if L10 goes away personally, but at almost every match I've been there were a lot more L10 shooters then revolver. Perhaps we letting sentiments get in the way of careful analysis when trying to determine which division we want to kick of the island? On the other hand what exactly does it hurt, beyond some folks personal beliefs ?
  16. I think there were a few handguns dropped out of the holsters DQ's at FNH this year for example, as there always are. It happens more then it should when running on natural terrain with all the possible snags and the like. Is your front sight dragging on anything when you draw or are you just worried that it is exposed? For the latter I would think it would be really easy to attach some form of kydex hood at the bottom of the holster.
  17. Thats awesome, I'm shocked it didn't split like a Bugs Bunny's finger down the barrel gun
  18. Seeing how many DQ's I've seen from people running around and having their gun flop out of the holster, I'm sticking with the ALS. Heck, I'm using that in USPSA now too and I'm not noticing an effect on draw speed so why not?
  19. Sorry but that does't hold water. Those states could give a rats ass about USPSA, they don't need us to validate or negate their f*#kery. 20. Aero. I also wanted a bit of extra eye relief so I made my stock longer, and I like where it all ended up.
  21. This. One of the very cool things about the Savage platform is the modular bolt and barrel headspace set up. If you want to replace it, you'll need a new bolt head, a barrel nut wrench and a headspace gauge, but perhaps it would be best to ask Savage to do it?
  22. The rules already cover that, in states with restricted capacity Limited is restricted to the state limit. Of course that doesn't cover the fact that in theory those folks can't compete at the national level due to a presumed lack of equipment. Of course, revolver is eliminating itself if we are honest.
