  1. http://www.kitconet.com/charts/metals/base...ad-6m-Large.gif Crazy chart. So prices went up with the excuse being "lead prices are skyrocketing". So, when do we see bullet prices come down?
  2. Let's see how Sherk's cardio is when he has to fight on the level. My money will be on BJ. Sherk has nothing on BJ standing up, and certainly has nothing for him on the ground...gas, that is the question.
  3. That's the reason why more people don't use them. Zero, MG and HAPs are about $50 per thousand less and shoot great in almost anything. R, G-Man, where is a good source / price for the HAPs? thanks
  4. TacSol 1911 upper? Are those available for purchase yet? Price? thanks
  5. Chris, please let us know if someone is setting up an account for donations. Thank you.
  6. My prayers for the Leatham family.
  7. I bought a little CZ youth .22 LR rifle for my daughter several years ago. Nice little bolt action mag-feed---accurate as a laser. I highly recommend them.
  8. Great fight (supposedly) announced for March 1, 08 UFC: Anderson Silva v. HENDO! Man I would love to see Dan win this one, but Silva...well, the video shows it: http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...silva-highlight
  9. Lead: There are 7,000 grains in 1 pound. Divide that by whatever bullet weight you like. If a 125 grain bullet, there would be 56 bullets in a pound, 112,000 in a ton (ignoring waste). In 2006, lead averaged 60 cents per pound, or about $1,200 per ton (ignoring shipping costs). That would mean (again, ignoring waste) that raw lead in a 125 grain lead bullet would have cost (average) $0.0107 per bullet. Of course, you have transportation costs, manufacturing costs, additive costs, etc., to add to that number. If the 4th quarter of 2007 goes as many predict, lead will have averaged about $1 per pound in 2007 (it is now higher than that). For a very long time over the past 5 years, lead cost well under $0.50 per pound: http://www.kitconet.com/charts/metals/base...ad-5y-Large.gif Check my math, did this in a hurry. But, if you can afford to wait------the odds, chart, and many analysts opinion are in your favor...which, if you are as lucky as me...is probably a buy signal:)
  10. http://glocktalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=67 For factory loads check with Mike McNett at Double Tap Ammo. Great guy, great ammo.
  11. Joe is plenty tough. If BJ fights him like he fought his last fight, Joe will beat him. My money would go on Penn in this one.
  12. Most large supermarkets that have a bakery have many white plastic buckets with lids on them...and smile at the right person and you take them home. Free Buddy who owns a coin shop also gave me a bunch of the green plastic containers that silver eagles arrive in from the US Mint. Great containers...think of a super heavy duty plastic shoebox (although larger). They stack great.

    Raid On House

If your friend had any luck at all, it was probably that the agency sent was the one sent.......as opposed to another that sometimes goes on uh, factually interesting, raids.
  14. http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/lead_his...rge.html#5years Here is what is happening to lead. It is in a pretty powerful uptrend...
  15. Zuffa should fire White and replace him with Randy. Or, since Dana loves to talk about what a fine boxer he was in yester-year, and they are near the same age....maybe let them fight for Dana's job
  16. I think it all depends on how the land is laid out...and what you are shooting. Just a few acres and shooting a .22 might be fine, owning 1,000 and shooting .50 BMG's might not be enough. We have a couple hundred and good neighbors. Still, I don't shoot on Sunday mornings out of respect for people and everyone's need for a few peaceful hours if they are not in church.
  17. As components go higher and higher, thought I would tell you about the sale at Midway...for those who like these bullets.
  18. http://www.batterystation.com/cr123a.htm Good place to do business.
  19. How to find out prices? Call only? Thanks
  20. I own a '91 with a little over 250,000 miles, and a '96 with a little under 250,000. Bought both of them used, from the same guy who bought them new. He used them as hunting / daily driver vehicles---with emphasis on the word USED. These vehicles have been beat on, and they just sit there and smile. On the '91 I have replaced the front axles. I think that year had a crappy air conditioner, as I have had nothing but troubles with it. Change the oil every 3-5k and that is it. No kidding---that is pretty much the unexpected repair history. In my opinion, based on lots of use and owning lots of other stuff too...these are the most reliable 4x4 in the world. I would not hesitate to drive either one of mine across country with the family with me, in a raging snow storm. I highly recommend diving in a site about LC's: www.Ih8mud.com Some seriously rabid owners there, and some really amazing advice.
  21. http://www.amazon.com/Weider-Adjustable-Fo...r/dp/B000N9FFYE You will really feel this in the forearm and wrist. http://www.rosstraining.com/articles/trainingthehands.html An example of what has already been described (stick, rope, weight). Btw, I think Ross' site is one of the best on the internet, and highly recommend his books. If you THINK you are working out hard now----watch some of his videos. Take it slow on the rehab, maybe get a pros advice near your home?
