Thanks for the feedback guys, I've deep cleaned the channel and I'm headed out Saturday to test. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you for the suggestion, I'm watching it pretty closely now and have adjusted the press so that I can prime slighter deeper. Unfortunately, I'm still having the issue. Currently I've only had this issue with Remington primers. I just got some Winchester Small Rifle and CCI Small Pistol primers that I'm hoping to test out this weekend.

Hey guys, I'm hoping you may be able to help. I've been having light primer strikes with my X5 (not Legion) something terrible. It's happening about 2-3 per 100 rounds. I currently have the Gray Guns competition trigger system in, but I installed an extra power striker spring and I'm still dealing with the issue. I'm reloading with a 650, Remington primers, and my primer depth is about .005" below the case head. Now, I am dryfiring almost 2 hours a day, so I'm not sure how much wear and tear that could cause with other components. Any thoughts?

Will the COVID epidemic improve the shooting sports
Limitless13 replied to Gene_WI's topic in Skills
Had my first match of the year two weeks ago and definitely improved. Overall gun handling was better, hits were better, and speed was slightly better. Imagine that, focused dry-fire makes a difference in a match. Who knew? -
Thanks JCC. I'll switch over to WST, I keep hearing good things about it.

I know I'm reviving an old thread here as well. But I just had a case blowout this afternoon. Extractor's gone somewhere. For you X5 users, what powder and bullet set-up are you using to keep pressures low?

Awesome, thanks Nick

Hey guys, figured it would make sense to revive an old thread instead of bringing up a new one. Are some of the new grip modules that are on the market legal for Production/CO? I'm specifically looking at the Polymer 80 version. I doesn't look like it adds an additional magwell like the Wilson Combat does. Thoughts? https://www.polymer80.com/pistol-frames/pf320ptextm-grip-module-1/pf320ptextm-grip-module

Happy Birthday Brian! These forums helped launch me into the sport I love, a career transition, and a lot of new friends. Thank you!

What do you use to touch up scratches in your AR Receivers?

I can vouch for the Birchwood Casey stuff too. Works great for the little stuff. -

For me, this time has been very beneficial. Since I'm now working from home I don't have to cram my dry fire in all at once in the evening after the kids are in bed, I can break it up in random 15 minutes sessions during the day. I'm finding this is definitely more productive and I can stay focused on certain areas better. -
Help needed with XL650 conversion install
Limitless13 replied to GregInAtl's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
This is awesome, I've been cleaning out the gun room the last few weeks (corona) and I had left this problem on my reloading press some years ago. Thanks for fixing an issue I didn't remember I even had. -
I think this change is really interesting. It seems to widen the gap further between some of the poly guns steel frame da/sa's. The Sig Legion seems to be the only gun that crosses the barrier (that I can think of). It'll be interesting to see what kind of adjustments people start making in order to bring the weight of their gun up. Things like internal frame weights, tungsten barrels, and other random craziness.

Overshooting A zone on transitions

*Mind Blown* -- My shoulder is sore as all heck after practicing transitions yesterday. Thank you VERY much for helping out with this all, and especially CHA-LEE. -
Overshooting A zone on transitions
Limitless13 replied to Limitless13's topic in Tips for Improvement
After re-reading my post, I didn't word it very well. I do what you suggest Joe, but I'm wondering on the closer targets is there a way to train myself to stop on the A zone instead blowing right over it and then having to swing back? -
Hey Guys, I'm noticing that I'm pushing the dot past the A zone on nearly all of my transitions. On narrow transitions I "swing" the gun from one target to the next, while on wide transitions I tend to pull my arms in closer to the body and then push back out as I get on the second target. How do I correct this? Do I just slow down and make it a conscious effort to not overshoot? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Kevin

Reach out via Facebook. That seems to work well.

Howdy, I'm running the Glockstore tungsten guide rod setup which comes with the factory springs, plus the Zev 4# striker spring. I've had no issues at all, but I'm also shooting Federal Syntech, which is awesome.

Top Shelf 1911s vs Glock based Pistols
Limitless13 replied to RangerTrace's topic in Little things I've Noticed
I've spent a lot of time shooting and smithing on both the 1911 and on the Glock. It certainly is possible to reduce the length of pull on a Glock trigger. (See Johnny Glock) Will it ever be in the .020" range like on a tuned 1911? Not without some engineering. But to say that it's impossible is not true at all. My question isn't one of preference of the trigger pull, I think that's a given for most folks. The question is how would the perception of shooting and competing with a Glock change with a top shelf trigger? -
What's the most unsafe thing you've seen at a match?
Limitless13 replied to matir's topic in Match Screw-ups
It was very, very gross. He was cool as a cucumber though. The rangemaster went with him to the ER because he was concerned about liability problems coming back on the range. That was honestly the last time I shot there. -

At a local IDPA match before I was shooting USPSA we had a guy draw, stick his off hand in front of the muzzle and put a clean .45 wadcutter hole directly through his hand. He immediately stopped, said I DQ myself, and then calmly looked through his hand down range with an "I'll be darn, I can see through my hand." -
Top Shelf 1911s vs Glock based Pistols
Limitless13 replied to RangerTrace's topic in Little things I've Noticed
Hey gents, I know I'm reviving an old thread here. What if you could have a 1911 style trigger on a Glock? How would that change things? I mean a straight pull, linear trigger that you could adjust pre and overtravel, and get to hang around 2-3 pounds. Thoughts? -
Physical therapy and a bunch of electro-stim therapy. Worked pretty well ultimately. I was able to rehab a partially torn LCL/PCL in about 6 months. Thankfully, I have a very solid doc who helped me get things on track.
