I have seen some old posts about commercial equipment you had....still have them?

  3. I have a mostly functional RL 1000 but only have a shell plate for 45 ACP (fits all the shells for that base), a large powder bar, and expander plugs for .45, .357 and a .30 on the way from Dillon. What I would like to find are more shell plates, expander plugs, and especially a small powder bar and spacer which will allow me to at least load the .45 ACP. My case feeder tube is also warped and ...

  4. Hi,

I was just looking for info on the RL1000 I have. I have conversions kits for .45 and 9mm. Go figure, I'm shooting mostly .40s now. There is a thread that mentions you or someone you know has conversion kits. for .40 S&W? Just curious on the cost. I have a 650 set up for .40s now but thought I would at least look into it.

    Thx. Steve

  5. I'm interested, please E-mail or PM me a link to CGN? Thanks for the help.
  6. As for primers, the Commercial Camdex machines I've seen had Vibratory Primer fillers mounted over the primer tubes. Should be simple to mount a Dillon Rapid Fill Primer Filler to your press.
  7. First off I do not know much about motors. You really need to be sure the type you use is an Instant Stop type for safety and other reasons. They use an Instant Stop, and instant switch reversable motor. By the way I have to give it to you, Your projects are INCREDIBLE. Bravo on the awsome work. Best of Luck, GunWhoreDer
  8. I spoke to P/W and they told me the RPM is optional, so they have 2 models. The kits do include both Linkages to run RL1000 & RL1050 models.
  9. Faster Model is marketed as being for Pistol Loading, Slower Model is for Rifle Loads. I do feel the faster Model would be just fine for both. Maybe even a faster RPM would work well for Pistol Loading.
  10. Hi JT, I could use it. I'll send you my ship to info in case it's still available. Thanks, GunWhoreDer
  11. I was told one of the commercial reloaders that have some in operation are going to make them a video. I found out the name of one of these companies so I had to ask them for the scoop. The reloader told me the system works very well, and they load preprimed brass. He had no details on priming problems to report due to this. I hope this takes off, and maybe gets offered by someone at a discount. I would need six units, or maybe just buy one and switch between presses if setup is relatively quick.
  12. I just saw an ad in Shotgun News for a kit to automate Dillon RL1050 and RL1000 Presses. It's made by Ponsness/Warren and retails for $850. Added to website on August 21, 2008. So looks pretty new on the market. Anyone here get a chance to see or use one yet. The kit weighs 40LBS. And has instant breaking, reverse, and slip clutch so it should work well. AmmoLoad automated presses retail around $18,000. about the same price as the Camdex. Now you can get a Dillon RL1050 $1,540 + KISS Bullet Feeder $550. + P/W Auto Drive $850. Total is only $2,940 for a Fully Automated Dillon. OH Yes!!!!! Just keep your fingers clear of the press and all should be just fine.
  13. I too noticed the original poster has not been contributing to this thread. I would be interested in replies if I had such problems. I have used all of Dillons presses except for the ShotGun SL900. I have had the owners of 2 "Super 1050B" improved presses offer to trade their like new machines for one of my old RL1050 machines. I say NO WAY to that. I guess presses also fall into the category of "They just don't make them like they used to". Good loading to all , GunHoreDer
  14. For the Lee feeder to work you must use their specialy made Radiused Die. Video of it on YouTube looks promising. There is a Gaspari Feeder right now on E-Bay with extra tubes and the loading tray for $110. he says he paid like $175 on another website I saw the same ad. I just received 2 KISS Bullet Feeders. There was a delay that seems to be in a change to the (Collator) Feeder Bowl. They are going from a fixed size bullet flipper to an adjustable bullet flipper system. I was told the plates are different from earlier collators. I luckily have some bullet collator bowls about twice the size of a Dillon Case Collator. So I only needed to buy the Conversion kits at $150. each. If you don't need the collator, they do seem to be shipping the conversions which include everything except the bowl and spring shute. Hope this helps, GunWhoreDer
