  1. I don't mind resetting stages but what I think sucks is when if the shooters are NOT to reset, being treated like its cheeting and RO's demanding on one is allowed back to look at the stage after the 4 mins. Of corse the next shooter owns the stage PERIOD! I'm talking about just having another look. Being left handed its tuff as hell to get a stage plan when im going aginst the flow of 98% of shooters that are right handed. Now If any shooter interferes with that shooter then jump his shit. But whatever some need to act like they can control something I guess. Oh well just musing...

    Aftec springs

A pain to install, really? If this is the case, i suggest stay with production. Dont take this wrong but Aftec spring replacement is one of the most basic task on any 2011. 5 minutes maybe. Just take your time and you will be fine. you tube has all the info you will ever need. Good luck
  3. The damn pics were there when I hit submit. I can't get these pics to load and it's not worth its if you would like to see these pics on me. I have 4 popple holes in my Hybrid barrel and I have no issues with a dirty lens using an Everglades mount. Plus it's centered far better than the Cheely mount. The holes in the frame from the Arradondo to the Cheely are the same as the Everglades mount. I have found It's a standard setting between most builders.
  4. AGREED!!! That the one issue I have with it also.
  5. I have been leaving my DP P on at every match, I don't need to mess with the brightness too. Been doing it for 3 years now starting with my original DP. I replace my batteries before any majors. Good luck.,
  6. Listen to Jake he has excellent info. For me I shoot two rounds each at two paper targets A zones at 20yds or the distance you can't see your hits. Not crazy fast just my match speed 90% and pay attention to where you sights/dot is when the shots breaks. Then ask yourself where are my hit? Check your targets and see how you did. Also shoot the berm without any target and pay close attention to what your sights/dot is doing when the shot breaks. Really this is the easy part. For me making sure I call all my shoots at a match.. Good luck.
  7. Thanks, i coldn't take it i just ordered myself one too.
  8. So how do you like the Everglades mount. Im Leaning towards one. The Cheely offset looks odd to my eyes. Tks
  9. I can understand some of your thinking but (lol) grass is generaly not all that slick unless it's wet from dew, sprinklers or rain. Even then as long as you wear shoes with good grip (Salmons $120.00 or nike land sharks $35.00) you have much less of a chance slipping on grass i feel as you may on hardened limestone with pebbles much like marbles. I also agree if we add rain to dirt it turns to mud and if it rains that much at your range try adding grass seed, it will grow quickly. Get a good pair of shoes shipped to your house with good tread and the slipping will be much less likely to happen. I have seen first hand what limestone can do to you when you fall on it and I have also fallen on grass. Grass is far and away better to fall on in my opinion. Im only wanting to share what i use to cover my personal range and my experiences with most every outdoor range surface that I have shot on. We have crush n run on a nearby range and I just shot the Nationals with limestone, big rocks and grass covering most of the dirt. Last weekend we shot SC state and it was sandy like beach sand. Sand is ok we just had to clean our mags after every stage we shot. The crush n run is ok it just depends on the size of the stone, we have small pea size at the Area 6 match its ok. I feel with larger the rocks you have greater chance of falling. Without question grass is thr softest of all the range serfsces. Thats why I like grass and will be adding seed to our range very soon plus it's cheap too. Maybe treat it like buying a custom gun and tyr as many as you can then decide on what you like, cause its your range after all. Good luck.
  10. Won't the limestone turn hard as concrete over time? Just wondering with it crushing from running and the addition of rain.
  11. Dirt, it's what we have at home, some grass. I can tell you the worst in larger crused rock. Kinda like stage 20 at the Ntionlas this year. You can bust your can faster than any other surface. Ideal Pea gravel or grass. To me anyway, good luck!
  12. Please don't take the issues I heard throughout the day from other shooter as complaints against anyone that worked this match. Everyone truly appreciated the efforts of the crew and no one ever had anything but praise for the gang working hard so we can simply shoot. Again thank you you all for the hard work throughout the match!!
  13. I am only writing this because every shooter I spoke with was complaining about it and every shooter made a valid point. If you have 13 squads then you need 13 stages. It seems to be an easy concept to grasp. After 30 plus majors I have shot, this is the only club that adds 3 breaks to the schedual, 1 no problem. Every squad has to make that walk so don't add 3 breaks plus Lunch. I was told they don't have the room. Fine, then don't have the match or at the very least only have 9 sguads. Oh and as far as room, they had their cars parked in Shooting bays at the top part if the range. No room? Smh, It's been like this every time this range hosts the State match. I ask about the all the breaks and I get told because of the walking time from the top stage to the lower stage ?? Last I check it only takes 7 or 8 minutes to walk if you walk slow. They add in breaks with nothing for the shooters to do except go to the next stage and then we still get jammed up for hours at the end. The breaks do not excuse them of the responsibility for having 13 squads to shoot 9 stages and making everyone wait hours, period. I don't understand it other than its about money. It's not ok to add more shooters and Squads and NOT add more stages and staff but they add in breaks every stage or 2 and think thats good enough. Well No, actually it is not good enough. This may be the last state match for me and many others to hear them talk at this range If this contenues to be how this match is run. What a disappointment that part was. We had 4, first stages at this match. Smh. Thank you to each of the RO's they busted ass pasting and trying to keep the match moving along. I can't imagine how they felt to look up having finished one squad only to have 3 more squads waiting to get started. Thank you for the hard work!!
  14. I watched Perdo built this GUN. It is a really nice gun and built right also.. Im sure you will enjoy it too.
  15. Rainier match 124g and accurate 7, N350, 3n37, WSF, AutoComp, 3n37 and on and on. If you get in bulk you save the most. But not just 1 or 2 cases, usually you don't get a real break until you go over 30k bullet heads. Find what you like in bullet, primers, cases and powders then buy for a season or two. I may hurt a little when you pay for it. They say buy once cry once. Plus you can always sell if you change divisions or Guns. Good luck.
  16. How do you check the last port ? The last LONG comp i checked to see if my last port was diverting enough gas to warrant it, i wrapped it with with electrical tape several times and shot a minor load and i cant find any tape larger an a 1/2 inch ripped strip.
  17. Some good info, thanks for sharing this.
  18. 9mm trueblue is a great powder.:
  19. No that's not what I'm saying. Area 1 had the date first the Nats date came after most dates for other matches were set. That's my point they should have the date for 2018 NOW and be finishing up 2019. But the add the Nats when the feel it's good for them not other matches or shooters.
  20. Our Nationals are declining as an event from all sides. We should know all about the 2018 Nationals now. That way shooters can plan and other larger matches can be planned and not changed.
  21. We won't see the stages until maybe a week before the match. Go to match sign up, that will give you the dates and other info. Then try the www.Uspsa.org click on the National link. Then try the old FaceBook. Round count will be less than 500. I got that no because ruffly 20 stages at ruffly 30 rounds per. But they do have lower round count stages. Usually I take about 5 to 600 or so this way I'll have enough to check my zero and just in case. This is a bit high but better safe. Shannon or Mike will let us all know soon enough. Good Luck.
  22. Not much to say. Lol. Check match announcements under Nationals. May be there.
  23. Always ask the RO's on the stage, only if no one is shooting or getting ready to shoot of course. Asking is always the best policy, and never mess with the props or targets. Good luck and enjoy yourself. I pick up more by watching shooters shoot a stage before I walk the stage, most of the time anyway. Cheers
  24. funny you motioned your basket ball incident, a guy grabbed my gun case and it wasnt locked. Well really the lid was only closed and dropped my gun of a chest high bar and chipped my Ti comp pretty good but the DP pro with the Cheely mount held true. SMH, New Comp and back at it. Yea untill my slide cracked a week later or I noticed it after a local match a week later. I did notice a slight ruff spot when I was shooting the days before when I was racking my slide. Checked things out and figured if was the aluminum shock buff i was trying out with an 7 lb spring, i never thought it would be a cracked slide 1/4 inch off center on the ejection port. Crazy and with a few weeks till nationals. Awesome. .
  25. Sounds like a tuff problem to me. Lol i had to order more too but i think on my SC gun im going to try the everglades mount just to see the diff in a centered mount vs my cheely mount?
