  1. Lotta post deleted. I don’t even have a dog in this fight. I shared my experiences and dude went to taking about his infatuation with my ass. Strange???
  2. The best gun ever made in the hand of someone lacking skill will never beat an ok gun in the best shooters hands.
  3. I’m sure the Atlas will be great. Good shooting.
  4. Agreed, Im not wanting to go back and forth also. SV makes great parts and lots of people use them as well as STI, I use them both. Every part can fail, every company has had it happen. It’s what the company does after the failure that makes the diff. The only STI part that has failed on my gun was a slide and STI had me a new slide in a few weeks. This was on an older 2nd or 3rd hand Open gun with at least 50k rounds down it. SV and ATLAS WILL NOT and don’t offer a warranty close to STI. No builder can through parts together unless you are building a Glock. Lol
  5. All I can say is STI’s warranty is far and away superior... STI as a company has superior equipment ans more of it and have been builting guns longer. But if anyone thinks dropping $4k Limited gun will make you shoot better go do it but it has always been the Indian NOT the arrow. You can ask Shane, Dave and Bob about their arrows. Bwaaaa. I don’t shoot STI SV or Atlas guns just sharing the facts.
  6. I have always heard about Ron being a good dude and his style of teaching being very SOILD. I just can't justify flying to the other side of the US. We have a few solid guys on the east coast as well. Good Luck..
  7. I would start at USPSA.ORG then navigate through thier new site (good luck with that) and see if you can find some local matches in your area.. Cheers
  8. Yes I have been in the same situation, after you did it once ya should stop while I was ahead. Lol well done still...
  9. I know. I just found these tonight, doing my Amazon Christmas shopping spectacular???' Lol
  10. Amazon has them for $12 shipped. That pic was from a google search but the freight from that company brought those pikers up to almost $20.00. That pic & add was from “iQ lighting”.
  11. Just putting this out for everyone. May save some a little coin? Cheers
  12. I did run an aluminum one on my Cameron’s 6” .40 w/o any issues. But I trust everyone will decide for them self’s. If I were to have a limited gun built now (or any major power factor gun ) I would go with the PT-EVO. It Fits the hand far and away better some others and it is also made from one piece of billet steel unlike the other. No chance of the PT cracking.
  13. Matt wound definitely know more than I would about what will hold up and no sir, not hard anodized. I honestly believe that the type holster makes a diff also. I run the DAA and wouldn’t change from them but the fact that the trigger guard is where the DAA holds the gun and without a barrel support and the fact that’s where they cracked it kinda leads me to think that, in the least it hasn’t helped.. Hours and hours of running jumping puts a lot of stress on the trigger guard but that’s just my opinion. Good luck in open.
  14. I tried an aluminum grip on an open gun and it didn’t last STI cracked PT aluminum cracked. We knew going in that Aluminum most likely was not strong enough for an Open gun. . Ended up with a PT EVO. Good luck.
  15. 100 or so yds probably but most every time I go and practice I shoot clay pigeons @ 50yrds. I can usually find 10 or so unbroken clays on one of the 100yd bays. I think a couple 100yards would be a fun range to shoot some A-C steel for sure...

  17. Why is it gone? Because we don’t not have the shoot off anymore. Didn’t we still recognize long after the shoot off had stopped? I see why the shootoff have gone away, but not the recognition of the Top 16 following the overall winner. Now it’s kinda water under the bridge but I still think it would be well worth the minimal cost and effort. I also believe that giving a metal for a stage WIN at Nationals again would be well worth the return to each shoot that received one. But what do I know???
  18. NIce History lesson. Thanks for sharing Boss.
  19. It’s something to shoot for that doesn’t that call for ?% devotion and the cost 1/2 of everything you have because ?% can = a divorce, in some cases.
  20. Yea..... um I was thinking “NO”..Top 16 being the overall division winner is #1 then straight down to the 16th place overall and it doesn’t matter if 16th place is the 2nd D class shooter. Top 16 overall, not top 16 in each class. Lol, but I would not be surprised if a few seniors make it to the top 16 “overall”, in open anyway.
