  1. Techwear USA makes some awesome shooting shirts! But like it was also mentioned, UA shirts are hard to beat in the heat of the summer.
  2. Why wouldn't it be? Max distance from inside of belt to to handgun =/< 2 inches; Check. Worn behind the hip according to Appendix E3; Check. Covers gun up to 1/2 inch below the ejection port; Check. Butt of gun above top of belt; Check. Suitable for everyday use. Race gun type holster prohibited. Well, it may not be the one you use every day, but functionally, it's a kydex holster with some adjustments like most other kydex holsters. I believe it will be legal. Very true. Whats the price on a holster like that? If its cheaper then a Blade-Tech DOH then it might be worth a try.
  3. BHE, there is another local club which I shoot at. Central Carolina Shooting Club (CCSC). First weekend of every month we shoot steel challenge. Second weekend is IDPA. Third weekend is USPSA. Fourth weekend is 3-Gun Events. Fifth weekends are Fun Shoots. Let me know if you can't find the website and I'll post the link up. Blcksmk (Taylor) Thanks for the link!! I went to the website but it says the 3-gun comps have been cancelled as of July 1st. (??) Very interesting. They also have cancelled the USPSA matches which stinks. I'm not sure why they did that. Well, I guess Statesville will be the only match to shoot on the third weekend of the month now.
  4. After hearing so many good things about Ready Tactical I need to make the switch. I have 4 CR Speed pouches now and they seem to wrap around my body and I'm tired of reaching around my body to get to the 4'th mag. I too shoot a G17. Love it. Wouldn't give it up for any gun.
  5. Just 4? I have always heard to have 5 or 6 on the belt with an extra in my pocket?
  6. Very true. I'm one of those guys who have a hard time fitting 6 pouches because of my 30" waist. I'll probably keep them set-up higher and push them all together as much as possible.
  7. I have been messing around with my production rig and position of my CR speed pouches. I notice some people drop the first pouch down and all the other pouches high up. I have also seen how some space their pouches out as where others keep them pushed together? How do you have your rig set-up and why?

  9. I think some are using the 1-3 power scope made by Weaver. I will be using the 1-3 power scope when I build my 3-Gun AR.
  10. Reloading is a great way to save money when shooting alot of matches. Do you own a Chrono? If not, invest in one. This will allow you to know what PF your loads are and adjust them.
  11. Check on Weaver Scopes. I'm pretty sure they make a 1-3 scope that is pretty decent.
  12. David, Thanks for the link! That comp looks like it functions great and I seem to see alot of shooters use them. I'm looking also looking at Firebirds new comp but can't seem to find a price on it?
  13. CR Speed all the way. I don't see a point in using in ALUM. pouches that can and will get scratched up from all the use in matches and practice. Plus the price is also a turn away for me to even want to try them.
  14. Thanks for all the tips and ideas guys. After reading some more and speaking to several local 3-Gun fanatics today I will definitely building a 20" rifle. I'm still looking for a pre-built top end for sure. I don't have the tools to buy a separate barrel from the top end and head space it correctly. As for t a trigger and lower, I will buy a RRA setup. I can put everything together from there. Any suggestions for a good affordable budget friendly top end? I will be changing or adding a comp to this.
  15. Several local 3-Gun Shooters have their opinions on them. Some say yes because it helps with recoil management and they seem to be able to control the gun better. On the other hand, some say they see no use in them because they allow their body weight to control the recoil of the gun. Overall, its personal preference. I would try and find someone with both you can try and see what you like best.
  16. My current production Glock 17 is about 2-2.5 LBS but with some extensive trigger work done and a Jager aftermarket striker.
  17. If I were to put that much money up for a upper, I would use a JP Enterprises 1 piece 18" Barrel and Comp with heat-sink and adjustable gas block as well as their matching upper and lower with their hand-guard. However, being a entry-level setup for now I don't feel that a full on custom upper is needed. Opinions?
  18. I also have a CR Speed Keeper that I can mail you if you would like. I use a Arredondo keeper as well.
  19. Like everyone has already said...........ramped. I have also heard that .40 would only run when built with a ramped barrel.
  20. My budget is roughly $1,250 at the current moment. I have looked into several production run-of-the-mill AR-15 companies and decided that if I choose to buy a kit and build it, Del-Ton rifles would get my business. This would allow me to purchase a flat-top M4 kit and assemble it myself at the same time make the minor changes I want to do. Del-Ton's M4 Rifle kit runs $485 with a stripped lower. All I would need is a good match grade trigger and minor parts and pieces to finish the bottom half off. Only other intended changes would include a good comp, and magpul precision rifle stock.
  21. I am looking into building a AR-15 to shoot three gun with. I have looked at many different options as far as either buying a pre-built 3-Gun rifle, a stock AR-15, or piecing together a rifle. What do you guys think is the best option to do? Several people have told me that they have had great success with taking a factory AR-15 and adding parts such as a comp, weaver 1-3 scope, and several other parts which made them competitive. 22. Vanek triggers are probably the best out there for Gen4 Glocks. You can do your own trigger and mess around with it, but if your looking for a quick solution to a light trigger pull without the work then Vanek is the way.
  23. I use a Dawson Precision FO front sight on production gun and use a Blade-Tech holster. Clears with no problems.
  24. I have had a fair share of LW barrels in my Glocks. I have had a G22 replacement, G22 Threaded Barrel, G35 Barrel, and a 22-9MM Conversion barrel which I currently use. The only barrel I have had problems with was the G35 which was also in a LW Slide. Not sure which one was giving me problems but even after having the LW barrel reamed out to match the Glock barrel chamber I was still having problems. Since then, I have bought a orginal G35 barrel to use. People will have different opinions on what barrels are the best however, I see no difference in LW VS. KKM Match barrels. They both shoot lead bullets and thats aboout it. Overall, I would stick with your Glock barrel and call it a day. Blcksmk
