  1. WOW TH3180 Say 100 years old, Happy Birthday to All.
  2. I clean everything on my hornady with acetone, once clean grease on the ram a light coat of hornady one shot works wonders.
  3. A buddy of mine just finished his limited gun with a 9mm and .40 top ends, the .40 top end is for limited the other is for steel challenge. I thinking of doing that for my new limited gun also.
  4. Welcome aboard Where abouts in St. Louis are you from.
  5. Thats not fair i got a tootsie roll
  6. I increased the belling ever so slightly for my 200SWC Bayous, I have never had an issue with setback of neck tension.
  7. I carry 5 mags on my belt and have one to barney with the other to start the stage. I make it a habit to start every stage with all mags full and on belt. Mag pouches will be single stack (yes 1 1/2). enter "single stack" in gear&accessories search
  8. Congrats!! That's where I started also, Welcome Aboard
  9. He looks comfortable with rifles how good of a pistol shooter is he.
  10. Send Chet a PM under forum name dawson marketing. He will be more than happy to help you.
  11. Your are on the right track with this, like jamie said using a big azz mirror and/or video. Don't concentrate on the draw make your only goal to not move your head or your shoulders(think from the elbows down). I had a similar problem it took loads of dryfire to cure but its easily doable, good luck.
  12. I run a 14lb recoil and 17lb mainspring. Try doing a search. I think there was a poll on this somewhere,

    Which one?

Lazy River Kayak or float tube? Kayak Crossfit or Traditonal weight training
  16. I don't like doing that for one reason, I could hand 100 people a stage to set up and I would have 100 different stages. One thing i will look for and practice is starting positions, odd shooting positions, etc that i can put into practice.
  17. Hard to beat bayou bullets expecially for the price, availibility, accuracy and the same smoke as WWB. Give donnie a call and get a sample pack you wont be disappointed.
  18. I love it when you pass gas and then get the whole room to yourself, better yet when getting the whole bed to myself
  19. I prefer the arched, fills the void i have with the flat. I also have fairly large hands.
  20. My gunsmith is a master class shooter that started out as a machinist, He started working on guns once he started competing now he is well known for his guns and stands behind every gun he sends out. Im having a 5in sight tracker built by him right now and its nice to know that i did not have to go into detail ablut what i wanted, just a few options and i trust him on everything else.
  21. Dryfire, dryfire, drydire, one week is not really alot of time to see much improvement. Instead of just dryfiring standing draw for time dryfire them in slow motion to see where you can be more efficient, then move to drawing while moving unless your practicing for the steel challenge. As for reloads the best drill for this is the Burkett reload, start with the gun on target with front sight crystal clear on buzzer simoultaniously grab mag and hit mag release while keeping the gun in your line of sight, stop just where the mag meets the gun, remember to look the mag to the gun. Remember to stay relaxed during all of this. Try doing it with your eyes closed to see how your body feels tense, unnecessary movement etc. When you go to live fire work on accuracy right now from a bench then freestyle accuracy try to make one hole. Now each night you go to bed lay down relax and visualize everything about match day starting with waking up to shooting all Alphas to stage teardown and drive home. Just to get your started. Read this thread by Sean Gaines plenty of priceless info
  22. Why not a 650 when switching calibers? Pat The only reason for me is because i can switch calibers on a 550 in less than 5min, But then again changing calibers on any dillion is no different than learning your shooting platform, once you drilled it enough you can do it blindfolded (almost)
  23. If you will be switching calibers often get the 550, otherwise just get the 650 right from the start you will end up there anyway. I learned the hard way and more expensive way.
