i shot the MG nats there a few years ago-i'd be there in a heartbeat. stay at the silverton (bass pro shops) and it's a heck of a road trip.

all i wanna know is # of long range rifle shots...

the reality is if you have a flawless gun, maybe once every 2 years you need a racker. i see lots of folks with the ball-detent setup only using the racker when the gun starts on a table, or empty, requiring chambering under the clock. otherwise, it isn't on the gun.

my daughter was accepted to a very nice private college (won't trash them here) that'll run almost $50K a year. because i work for a living and am doing well, they cough up little towards the bottom line. if i was not working, hadn't owned a home, had no retirement plan and basically watched TV all day, the financial aid would be pouring in.

went to a boat show one year, and filled out some stupid deal for a drawing for some weekend cabin. figuring i would never win, i used the name mike hunt. an hour or so later, you guessed it, they draw mr. hunt. never did walk up to collect.

rich is right, until u deal with slugs out to a distance. i have ralph's mount with a doctor and it's nice. drawback is it's a bit higher than the JP, but it ain't going anywhere either. get a cheek pad and go with it.
