i split my time cleaning the darn long guns. shotgun gets most attention, then rifle, then pistol. since most 3gun events don't feature the pistol like the old dayz (read true 3 gun), i don't worry about that piece. seriously, i shoot open so #1 is loading the shotgun, #1(a) is getting yer rifle dope down pat. after that, it's just a big IPSC match.

i don't use spotlight for that reason anyway. but you can still do the old fashion "find" and it will get you the appropriate locations, albeit at a slower pace.

always-watched a local gm this weekend with his new open 9. lots of problems. ended up shooting (or attempting to) 9x19, 9x21 and supercomp all outta the same gun. needless to say, that was the reason.

rich-i wasn't running the clock-i was on deck. if it was me, the young man would have been home watching the 49er game. believe me, i will be having a talk with the person that changed the call. on the upside, i did break out a new pair of underwear that evening...

swinging plates-i like it! lot's of running uprange. tons of plates that pop up targets...and then there's the 4 targets on opposite ends of a teeter-totter. looks like fun.

brain-u can make a crossover cable in 5 mins...i did years ago to t/f mac-2-mac. get a 3' ethernet cable, cut it in half and reverse the wires.

+1...while i'd love to be down on the bayou drinkin' turley zin with troy, i will not fly with 3 guns again. that's a whole 'nother thread in and of itself. driving for 3 dayz does not make sense any longer.

agree the circuit was way too sanitary, and boring. they need to light up spa!

shooting classifier 03-11 where you turn, then draw. young junior shooter turns slightly and draws. i'm guessing we're talking about 220 degrees. i know i saw the bore and just winced. checked my drawers and shot next. they stopped him and then later in the day (i was doing stats), i run into him and he's still shooting! powers that be decided a kid needed a break, i guess. hell, i shoulda DQ'd him right there...

limited nats in reno years ago had about 20 walk-ons...and it filled up.

BDC is your friend-known and tested reference points on a reticle are hard to beat. holdovers suck. FFP BDC's on adjustable optics are the shi$! don't think i'd ever go back.

brian-since u said it's a "new imac", if you bought it at an apple store, drag it and the pc to the genius bar...they have a pc data transfer service and do it for nothing. while yer waiting, you could blow more money on other apple stuff...

ahh u scum-was ready to make reservations for the silverton again-musta spent a grand at the bass pro shop during the last nationals...coolest thing was we found a bar off the strip that had tapper units built-in to the tables...spent a ton there as well...next time i'm getting rigged with a catheter...
