this sounds like the old claim that you can increase velocity at the chrono by pointing the barrel upward a bit b4 shooting a round over the screens. it's all b.s. ask the chronoman...he's seen it all.

congrats! i can't remember back that far, but my only child will be getting her diploma next tuesday. a short while later she's off to college. i'm proud now, but when she leaves it'll kill me.

+10 on the fit and forget. i've had one in a gun for 7 years and never even changed the springs. in fact, i never take it out to clean since they are a pain to put back in...and the gun runs all the time-never, ever an extraction issue. worth their weight in gold in my book. have 'em in all my guns.

the only time i ever enjoyed painting was when i was replacing the carpet. piece of cake-never even bothered with a drop cloth. fast.

what you were told is accurate. i have a GSRC with a BDC designed by the man that did the IOR CQB reticle. he confirmed that data to me. all you have to do is plug in that data into ballistic software and play with the bullets and muzzle velocity and you will find a load that will match the BDC. i have confirmed mine out to 400, and that's as far as i care for our game.

that's easy-check out the silverton hotel-on the end and off the strip. bass pro shop connected to it. stayed there for the 3 gun nats a few years ago. walked into the hotel/casino with long gun cases and carts, etc, and no one cared.
