hey dave-at this weekend's 3 gun match, i'll let you engage the 380 yd flasher with birdshot. rifle ammo is so expensive to make anyway.

if the course description says that steel activates that swinger, and you engaged it (i.e. hit it), then yep, why not? bad stage design if that's the case.

What? If I had a choice I'd shoot almost everything out to fifty with a pistol, even that clay. well dave, you the man! but i suggest it's quicker with a rifle-assuming it's supported.

we've shot stationary clays with rifles as well...they are a pain beyond 50 yds.

i hate that every year, lots of good people donate tons of turkeys for the needy. then, on the news at night, we get to see the "needy" picking up turkeys while driving brand new escalades with 22" rims and $100 hairdos.

i use AA2230 for both 55 NBT's and 69 SMK's. to get the same POI out to about 350, i ended up having to run 23.5 for the 69'sd and 24.9 for the 55's. this was out of an 18" JP barrel.

we stage long guns. so why not sling them and hump them around as well?

make it simple, trapr-why carry the pistol...stage it somewhere and eliminate the handgun getting dirty.

about twice a month i walk in close proximity to armored truck guys carrying loot into/out of a bank. in EVERY case, the guy with the loot has his hand on his holstered sidearm. guess he wants to intimidate everyone. when most of us here are capable of sub-1 second draws, i can't help to crack up every time i see these clowns.
