sigs always seemed to tall to me and very flippy. im sure the heavy frame version would help a bit but...you can have heavy and a high hold with the cz. very fast gun

careful tho using that weight data, it seems these guns can vary in weight from piece to piece.

there is a difference in cost too. you have to try both before you know what you will like better. boy do i wish the sp01 shadow was 1/2" longer. i tried both and went cz.

i have been tring to visulize the sight pictures as i have heard suggested but my mind seems to busy for me to do this thru the whole stage. i loose focus on the task after just a few targets. any suggestions for a guy like me that has difficulty clearing distractons from my head on a busy range?

ive tried to shoot thru a soft cover barrel before, it didnt work for me. i think its better off taking the tighter shot.

not switch guns, and settle on loads sooner, all that tinkering around wasted good reps. also i would have worked shooting time into my wedding vows.

protruding pin does seem like a bad situation. i do hope that working that pin down doesnt shorten its life span. i use fed primers with the 13lb and standard pin. those all light, but when i used wsp i did get a couple that didnt touch off. when its time for you start experimenting sub 13lb, do you plan to clip coils or try a mainspring designed for a differant pistol? for a cz part the 13 is the lightest i have seen available.

both of thse make sense to me, thats one thing on my gun im gonna leave alone. Honestly the trigger is so good already i dont think its worth tampering with. I know i hated the feel of my glock trigger when pin spring was light and the return extra power (reversed effect) any hesitance or mush in reset is way worse than an extra lb. to me. True, for most a lighter TRS also makes trigger freeze more common.

yikes don't save those rear sights. try something plain black, preferably reaches the back of the slide. There are some very affordable options out there.

mine got in my way, the safety jabbed the pad of my support hand when tring to hold it very high. i have since swapped out to the reg. sp01 safeties and it is much better. I may still go down to the thin thin ones they sell now. then ill be 130 bucks into just fricking safeties ouch! One thing i did to prevent accidental engaging the safety before i when smallet was to strech out the safty detent spring so that it put an absurd amount of tension on the saftey. once i did that i enaged it only once to see if it worked, now it waits for a gear inspection at a major and thats it.

i still havent broken anything dryfiring my shadow, built very well.

Yes, I already have both. then i would focus on the CZ a side note to the shadow, due to the super heavy frame and low profile slide, the gun has a very smooth nonjarring cycling action. with an unltra light spring (10 lb) the gun will be reliable with a huge range of ammo. I can run 100 pf loads for steel challenge that most other guns feel way too sluggish with.

do they offer a discount for just 4 year vets?

i would pay extra, not a fortune but certainly more than off the shelf. just think it would be cool to have. this type of thing is popular for other sports what not shooting?

this is a vid of me shooting a shadow on a classifier stage. i have watched it many times and am convinced that the double action first pull is no longer an issue as my first shot out of the holster always gets a bit more care anyway. even when its close up like this.

own both and think the CZ, i had a nice long write up going with the pros and cons and just lost it tring to dowload a spell checker, i suck. if it was a 34/35 or Shadow the choice would be harder. the double action pull on my shadow custom target is not a problem for me but its an expensive pistol. i think an inexperienced shooter could run the CZ faster but by learing the glock grip and control would pretty much eliminate the advantage. you already have both these pistols?

Excellent! I think an SA trigger is maybe making it on to my CZ! but then of course a differant rule would put you out of production class I'd rather not shoot in Open division. Which rule? The text prohibiting "Prototype and single-action-only handguns" was in the 2008 rulebook, but not in the 2010. In the Production guns list, the only manufacturers prohibited from SAO variants are Beretta and SIG. Although guns with external hammers in Production division must start with the hammer decocked, there is no penalty is USPSA for manually cocking the hammer, unlike IPSC. Irregardless, the hammer must start decocked wouldn't be a basis for bump to open as long as I always remember to decock before the start signal. My understanding of the SA trigger is that with a little trimming near the hinge, it too can go do the full stroke needed for a DA first shot. Is this not true? Will I have to play with the trigger bar and interrupter instead? my bad i assumed you would use the single action trigger well single action. if that works then you are onto something for sure, so long as the mod doesnt affect the SA pull to the point that there is no gain over the normal trigger. you should do that and let us know how it comes out, the SA trigger is sweet.

i dont blink anymore for my 9mm and 40 match pistols, but i am almost certain that i do with an M1A at cmp. i should work on that i think it could help there too

i want to start a very front sight intensive dry fire training routine for the winter and see how i emerge. Hearing that it could be a big help moving from B to A...prolly the place i can make the biggest gains at this point.

I have been suspecting that i have a particullarly heavy frame. No break, 10rnders, plastic grips, plastic guide rod and im still .2 over. that means the marshal thin woods will only just barely get me to 39oz.

i went thru the same "phase". Dont go too crazy on the 'sear nubby thing' at the bottom of the firing pin. One of my glocks would occationally fire twice per pull and release of the trigger, had to fix that in a hurry.

run my finger over every primer (again) when the round is going into a magazine.
