  1. Get in touch with Max G, Harmon, or Harold......they'll load ya up some to get you thru till you can get your own station up and running. They prob won't charge you too much, either. Mike
  2. Quick overview and/or this: More Help I'm at lunch, so didn't have time to dig further. I've done it quite a few times, but always refer to the directions just to be sure. Hope it helps, at least a little. Mike
  3. My better half just started doing this very thing at this past weekend's match. She has a 34, shooting 9mm Blazer ammo- brass magwell, tungsten guide rod, mag release, trigger job, etc. She has two Arredondo basepads, and two of the Dawsons. (Bought both to be able to compare). She still uses a kydex holster, and it doesn't really seem to slow her down. For her, its about the "FUN" quotient, and she says this is definitely more fun. I don't know that you can ever 'win' Limited division shooting minor, but give it a try. Mike
  4. Looks like it'll encore presentation at midnite on Saturday nite? Anyone confirm this? I want to see it badly, but the 8pm start time isn't helping.....midnite, I can do.
  5. If I'm not mistaken, Julie shot minor power factor and won high lady Limited this year at the Nats...... someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
  6. He fought a much better fight last nite.....and funny enough, listening to MATT helped him do it. Mike
  7. Ok, so slight thread drift........but what/where did you buy? You'll have to let me check it out in Tyler! Mike
  8. THE brass magwell. Bought at Custom Glock Racing. Excellent service. Magwell 'tames' the gun and gives it a nice feel.
  9. Congrats, and you did the DFW contingent proud!!
  10. Last nite's fight was awesome. I think Luke prob earned some respect after that fight. Him vs. Joe.......hmm.........
  11. Check LoneWolf Distributors, Custom Glock Racing, or Glockmeister.....I'm pretty sure one of them will have what you need. I've bought from all of them, and all give good service..... Mike
  12. I've bought from James several times in the past, and his service is awesome. Highly recommended......... Mike
  13. Where are you located? Several gunsmiths available, depending on location.
  14. Thanks for the replies. I see that the actual swap out isn't a big deal, for sure..... just glad to hear I most likely won't be putting them on, going out to shoot, finding they don't work, and having to take back off to order something else. I'm looking forward to them! Of course, getting used to black vs. the white dot is a whole 'nuther animal.... Mike
  15. To get the thread closer to back on track...... (not that a Julie lovefest is a bad thing!!) .....My better-half does the mag change the same way Julie does... actually modeled it after her. Since she has small hands, it allows her to stabilize the gun (trigger finger against slide) and drop mag with weak hand. She can do it reasonably quickly, and gets back on grip MUCH faster than the rotate around method. Each to their own, I'd say. Practice, practice, practice. Mike
  16. I just put in an order for a set of Heinie Slant Pro's, to put on my 34..... and in conversation, a buddy of mine said he ran into a problem on the 34 that the front sight was actually not tall enough, and he had to order the taller unit to replace the one that came with the package..... Is this isolated, or is it the usual case? It'd suck to get them installed and find out I had to take them back off.......... Mike
  17. Try going back to basics? Shoot production. TRUE production. Buy ammo at Walmart. WWB. No reload, no fuss, no muss. You shoot an XD, right? Have any other gun/holster you can switch to for a while? Set a goal at each match.....something simple. "No misses". If you aren't having fun, you have GOT to make a change so it IS fun again. "Been there, done that". Shoot rifles a while, something...... don't give up. Mike
  18. Sent ya a couple other options. Good luck. Keep us posted! Mike
  19. Cool deal, Al. Thanks! If not, coral him Sunday and see if we can get more info. See ya then! Mike
  20. I was a "50/50".......I shoot about equal amounts of both...and enjoy them both. I'm fortunate that the groups I shoot with usually do both, as well.....so it helps. Mike
  21. Contact Al Cappizo, Harmon Greer, Phil Terry, or one of the other East Texas contigent.........they should be able to get you an answer. Mike

Indeed it is!! A celebrity in our mix! Mike
  23. Thanks Julie! You ROCK!!! Mike
  24. Julie, It is refreshing to see such professionalism and sense of grace in a competitor. You make me proud to be a "Glocker" and you do an outstanding job of representing our country. Kudos! Mike
  25. That brings up an interesting question that I have---- (10 in mag, plus one in gun is the rule for capacity) I find it easy to just 'barney bullet' one of my mags as I step up to the line, which , in effect, gives me the desired result.... but have been told I shouldn't do it that way, that instead, load from diff mag then switch out. Is there an official ruling on this? Does it really matter, as long as we achieve the desired result? Inquiring minds want to know..... Mike
