  1. Works with both my stock G35 and my (err....the wife's) tricked out Vanek G35, too. No problems with either gun.
  2. FWIW, I use Winchester.....and never have any problems.
  3. And the corner doesn't dig into your finger when you hit it? First thing I did to my new 35 was Dremel that point and the lower edge to dullness. H. My hands are pretty de-sensitized..... I am not sure I'd feel it if it was digging me or not. I'll look at it this weekend and see if I can tell. Mike
  4. +2.... southpaw and use my middle finger. I have a nice callous there, as a matter of fact.
  5. Les Baer, Wilson, etc. Pretty much all the big names make one.
  6. We'll miss you in E. TX, buddy.........
  7. I'd love to see the video footage whenever you get it finished, Sharyn! (Not that I'll forget those stages anytime soon!!LOL) You did great, too.....high lady, 9th overall....way to GO!! Mike
  8. I just posted a very similar thread myself. I love going to matches, seeing friends, making new friends, and enjoying the cameraderie of shooting. It ROCKS.
  9. Mark-- you shoot the skinny gun pretty danged good!! I noticed your name near the TOP of the score chart. After shooting Production again, I realize I didn't miss it as much as I thought.....but the skinny gun does appeal to me. We'll see if the boss lets me get one.
  10. If I ever break down and BUY a single stack, I'll consider trying it out.
  11. I just wanted to add to the "what I like" area with this one- wife and I went down to San Antonio for a work conference on Fri, so stayed over and decided to make a weekend of it and shoot the River City Shooters "Summer Shootout" match. We had a GREAT time, put some names and faces together ( squadded with some Enosverse members! Great to meet and squad with Mark and Tracy!!) and met more nice folks that enjoy the game as much as we do. For those of you who missed it, the match ROCKED!! 7 stages, and good mix-poppers,stars,doors, hallways, catwalks, picket fences, etc. You name it, you probably saw it. Kudos to the whole bunch who put such a quality match together. I'd be pleased to shoot there again anytime!! Mike

  13. I just wanted to give a big round of applause to all parties involved in getting this match off the ground and having it run as smoothly as it did for the number of shooters that turned out. Kudos to everyone who helped out! Mike
  14. It is certainly a handy resource and greatly appreciated. I'd be glad to mirror the database on one of my servers, if you ever want a backup. Mike
  15. Congrats to BJ! Way to go.......... Hope to see you and your Dad/family again at Tyler soon! Mike
  16. That price range will probably limit you to Glock, XD, and CZ...... but they are all fine guns. What division you want? Caliber?
  17. I swear I think that the latest I heard was end of Nov/begin Dec. If so, at least it won't be HOT. LOL
  18. I wear plugs while everyone shoots with glasses and hat, when it's my turn to shoot I just pull ear muffs over top my hat and over my ears, so that I'm effectively double plugged. Hope that helps. Mike
  19. Actually, I'll have to talk to you more about them at Waco. I used to wear contacts, but gave up and went back to glasses....... might be time to reconsider. Mike
  20. **Slight thread drift****** Note to self: Squad with XRe, kick up dirt, come closer to beating him on at least one stage.......ROFL *****thread drift off******
  21. I'd like to say one other thing, too. Julie is a class act, through and through. I've corresponded with her a couple of times, and she is always polite and courteous. A top shooter, yet goes out of her way and is very personable. I wish her all the best, too. ( But I won't be giving up my Glock. LOL ) Good job Julie! Mike
  22. Honestly? Not as often as I should. I would say I pull it down (detail strip) about every 2500 rounds. I do field strip and clean in between, or at least try to...... and I do boresnake the barrel. It's one reason I shoot Glocks-I don't really enjoy CLEANING them, prefer shooting them. Mike
  23. Here's a quick quip I copied off another website, hope it helps: ++++FROM PACKING.ORG+++++ I have to say that the trigger pull on my Sigma .40 was a litter stiffer than I could stand. I did the "Glock" $.25 trigger job which helped a bit. I found a Wolf brand striker spring that made the biggest difference. The factory striker spring (NOT trigger pull) was rated at 4.75 lbs. The Wolf spring is rated at 3.5 lbs. This made a huge difference in the trigger pull. I have read that the factory trigger pull is around 11 to 12 lbs, but I never tested mine with a gauge. Just hazarding a guess, I'd say that the new trigger pull is around 6 to 6.5 lbs, about like my Glock's factory pull (5.5, I think).
  24. Not sure if it'll help, but Mike Caylor of CaylorCustomGuns has a lot faster turnaround on guns than what you are talking about. It might be worth checking out, if you need something custom but can't wait. He has pics of some of his stuff on his website if you want to scope that out, too. Good luck. ( I shoot a Glock, personally! ) Mike
