Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I started using Blue Bullets 147 RN this year, so I did a bit of analysis with the order of 3,000 bullets that I purchased back in December. My sample population size was 60 bullets, all from the same box, and my scale is a GemPro 250. The average weight for those 60 bullets was 151.17 grains, with a minimum value of 149.65 grains and a maximum value of 153.30 grains, for an extreme spread of 3.65 grains. The diameter was consistent at 0.354". By the way, I checked some of my Zero 147 JHP bullets, and they also had a consistent diameter of 0.354". That is my story, and I am sticking to it...
  2. Brian, Just update those four links to point to the following: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4236 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5017 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5213 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5416
  3. I'll admit it, sometimes I click on the USPSA member link in some of the posts that I read... In any case, it appears that USPSA must have changed something on their website, because I have encountered many of these links on this site that do not work. The most common mistake that I have seen is that the link is pointing to a page called "uspsa-classifer-lookup-results.php", which no longer exists. Please note that "classifier" is misspelled as "classifer". This means that if you have one of these links in your signature, you might want to check it to make sure that the link has the correct spelling for "classifier". Here is the proper format for the link: https://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-classifier-lookup-results.php?number=A99999 Obviously you will have to replace "A99999" with your USPSA member number.
  4. I did a quick google on "Hy-Drive 1050" and I found this from a couple of years ago: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=78570 Cor
  5. I had Robar do some work on my G35; they fabricated a beavertail, did a front-strap reduction, a high-grip reduction, and grip stippling. I think it turned out beautifully and from looking at the gun I could never tell that the beavertail was an add-on. You can check them out at http://www.robarguns.com/glock.htm
  6. Have you tried http://www.efax.com or http://www.4sightfax.com/? Both these solutions work on the mac. You can also take a look at http://www.savetz.com/fax/ for a decent FAQ on this topic; it is not mac specific though...
  7. Please remember that he is asking about how to turn scanned paper documents into PDFs... Revchuck, what kind of Lexmark all-in-one do you have? Check out http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=1239602 for a Lexmark that can automatically turn scanned material into a PDF.
  8. You can also take a look at http://www.cogniview.com/cc-pdf-converter.php You can also perform a search on Google for "Free PDF conversion". Good luck.
  9. Take a look at http://www.pdfonline.com/
  10. I was not quite sure where to post this question so I ended up here... My father in law received this Springfield Armory 1911-A1 from his father quite a while ago and it has been sitting in his safe for quite some time. He asked me if I could help identify this pistol and to find out whether it was worth keeping or if he should look into selling it. I do not know too much about 1911s so I thought I would ask the BE community to help me in identifying this pistol and if it is a "keeper", or if not then how much he could expect to get for it. It is chambered in .45 ACP, with a 7" slide, and a 5" barrel. I hope the attached pictures will help. Thanks.
  11. I live in Southern California and I have taken my 28' travel trailer to the Area 2 match at Rio Salado for several years and it has worked out great. At Rio Salado the campground is almost next to the range. This campground has full hookups and dumping facilities; in addition it also has flush toilets and nice shower facilities if you are inclined to use them. Due to the proximity of the campground to the range it was so easy to hop on to the trailer to get a good lunch instead of the burgers and hot-dogs served on the range. I also took this travel trailer to the Silver Buckle match several years ago and stayed in the range parking lot. This shows you that you can camp in luxury, or you can "rough it" by dry-camping. Now for the bad news... My gas mileage dropped to about 7 MPG when pulling the trailer with my F-150, so take that into account as well, especially with today's gas prices. You do have to worry about prepping the trailer prior to the trip and then the inevitable cleaning of the trailer when you get back. I sold my travel trailer just prior to the Area 2 match last November, so I ended up driving to Rio Salado and I camped in my car at the same campground. It sure was nice to be able to drive at normal speeds with normal gas mileage and the campground shower and bathroom facilities were great, but I missed my comfortable bed... In my opinion it is cheaper to drive and stay in a motel if you do your homework and plan ahead.
  12. Just got mine today for my G35. Another quality job by Charlie. I can't wait to try it out on the range... Cor

    Glock barrels

I have the original factory barrels in both my G34 and G35 and I have only shot my own reloaded ammo through both these pistols. Tens of thousands of rounds in the last couple of years and no problems, even with Bear Creek Moly bullets in my G35 at major power factor... YMMV.
  14. I do not want to hijack this thread, but I am seriously thinking about getting the Uniquetek high-precision electronic powder scale because it is accurate to 0.02 grains; that is more accurate than my Dillon D-Terminator which is only accurate to 0.1 grains like most of the other electronic scales out there... Cor P.S. I really like my Dillon D-Terminator.
