YellowVisorGuy on Doodie 1.0 did a regression analysis on classification vs. major match finish.. determined there was a .88 correlation coefficient from about 2-3 years of major matches...thats a pretty solid number, so yes, classification does correlate to match finish well.

So like I said on page 1... they're better shooters They are more accurate, miss less, and shoot faster than 'average' GMs. I think we can close this one... as that is LITERALLY the answer.

There are more than a few spots lol... there are less than 160 people signed up... compared to over 300-400 in years past.

Ummm your fill capacity directly impacts pressure... and it's not linear nor can you remove powder and expect the same velocity.

Doesn't Frostproof have 22 bays? Why can't we get 20-22 stages in? Double up the classifiers, good to go. We're paying $270 for this... and we get 2-4 more stages than an area match?

Question to all you "one reload doesn't matter" people... what happens when you fumble that reload? Sure... MOST stages have a place that makes the reload feasible without losing much if at all... until you fumble that thing, drop your mag... and now are doing a standing reload. How is this even up for discussion... smdh.

We aren't talking 29 vs. 30... we are talking about 3-4rds less.. which means extra reloads and less aggressive shooting on stages in the 22-26rd count.

Yes... having to reload when someone doesn't is a competitive disadvantage. Yes... having to shoot a stage less aggressively because you don't have spare rounds is a competitive disadvantage. The cost of a stock mags vs. A higher cap one is trivial because the resale value is higher and it's pennies on the dollar compared to matvh fees and travel expenses. Even if you don't need something 95% of the time... the 5% is worth since major matches are won by fractions of seconds on a stage. So yes... Round count is critical.

Is this a location that all competitors can send their stuff? I'm looking for a place as well.

I think you don't actually understand the spirit of 1.1.5.... has nothing to do with physical boxes, tires, circles, etc... has to do with not forcing a competitor to shoot from a specific location... not what they are actually shooting from. There were 8 tires. You only had to shoot out of 4 of them... and of those 4 you only HAD TO shoot from 1 of them (only location 2 target where visible).
