  1. I have a few MrDial's from e-bay but don't use it much once I find the load I want to use. If I were to use different charges with the same powder charger, I'd use a UniqueTek.
  2. Maybe the spring is too long which is making it hard to load or there might be dirt in the tube. Beside the Nordic tube and follower, you should get the DMW easy loader and a large bolt handle (Nordic or DMW). A side saddle might be in order if you plan to load from there. Also, round out the rough spots in the loading port to make loading more comfortable.
  3. That sounds like a weak mag tube spring. It is not throwing it back hard enough to activate the lever to close the bolt. ISMI and Wolff makes good springs. Try Brownells.
  4. Those plastic drums come in 165 (3 layers), 220 (4 layers) and 275 (5 layers) rounds. The first one looks like 275 and the second view on the second video looks like 220. With the price of ammo, this thing costs around 80 cents per second to shoot.
  5. The second video looks like an American 180 and not Tactical Innovation's AM15.
  6. I got one from Progressive Machine. It is huge and easy on the hands. It is made from titanium so it is light but Arredondo is probably the lightest if that is what you are shooting for.
  7. Collectors item...no. Cool, fun plinker...yes. My buddy just picked the pistol version this weekend for $399. Its pretty heafty for a 22.
  8. I like the BDC's on the IORs but remember it is set up for the maximum magnification (8x for the one you are thinking of getting). If you plan on using it, make sure to leave it at 8x but if you also have to engage closer targets on the same stage (100 yards), you might find yourself fishing for the target.
  9. Yep. That's how my 11-87 came from JP. My backup SP also has one. Both work just fine.
  10. The part Bryan45 is talking about is part 12A in the Remington manual. Here's a picture of it - it's the one in the middle.
  11. I just looked at photos of my friend's setup (he has the 1.5x-8x with an American Defense mount). He has it mounted so the rear objective lines up with the charging handle. That's what works for him with the 3.5" eye relief. In that location, standard rings would've fit on the flat top and you could still move it forward by 3 rail notches. Another thing to consider is if you'll need to change the magnification quickly. The adjustment ring on the IOR is very stiff and is sqeezed between the rear ring and illumination control knob. That combination makes it very hard to change quickly and nobody makes a cat tail for this scope.
  12. The IOR is probably a better for 3 gun than the NF because of the 2.5x on the CQB stages. As far as the IOR recticle illumination, it is not bright enough to see in full sun. If you get the IOR, you are very limited with mounting options because of the 35mm tube. I'd recommend the high rings because I don't like getting low into the rifle but I'd be more worried about eye relief than the height. You'll need to mount it forward and American Defense makes a 35mm mount which is similar to Larue's LT-104 mount.
  13. There is one thing you could do to see if it is the mag tube spring before you buy it. Use the same spring but install the tube cap the shotgun came with and don't install the extended tube. I was able to do it with mine (which has a 8+1 tube) and was able to load 4 rounds. That should provide more than enough force to see if that is the problem. If you don't have the tube cap, you could put 3 rounds into the extended tube before you put it back on to serve as a spacer to add more compression to the spring. "Activator" sure is a fancy name for an o-ring.
  14. Describe the failure to feed with a little more detail. Did the round come out of the tube? Was the bolt locked back? Did you lube the outside of the mag tube when you put it back together and did you put the piston and o-ring back correctly? Did you check the extractor and spring? Is the mag tube spring the correct length? What is the diameter of the gas ports? That model was probably designed to be used with full power loads so you might need to open up the gas ports. I've shot that ammo from my 1187 and it worked OK.
  15. I like the idea. In fact, I recommended it to a local match director a few years back and he set up a stage like that the following month and it was a blast.
  16. BRING IT!!!!! Jumping jacks, cart wheels, hand stands, forward roll, 100 yard dash, long jump, triple jump, hurdles, pole vault, pommel horse, vault, parallel bars, rope climb, etc. My gear is set up so I won't lose anything (gun, mags or shotgun ammo). I wonder if anyone got DQed at the 2009 SMM3G (stage 3)? We started prone with our rifle and an unloaded holstered pistol.
  17. My wife wouldn’t dare let our kids do that due to exposure to lead. She is in the medical field and is way over cautious with some things.
  18. The only things to cause the interceptor to get in the way is if you pulled the trigger on the empty/closed bolt or the latch is binding. Pull out the trigger assembly and work the interceptor by hand and see if it moves freely. The trigger thing is easy to check.
  19. This makes me glad I wear prescription glasses so my safety glasses are always on and I can't forget them. I've gone through around 30k on my 650 and never had a primer go off and I had my share of crushed primers I forced in. I've only used Win primers. The front support bar on the 650 gives some protection for your face, more if you stand/sit a little to the left side. It might we worth bolting on a piece of clear plastic on that supprt arm for added protection.
  20. Others may have been crowned the "Zen Mater" title, I'll give you the "Bin Master" title.
  21. I've use PRI which is a great latch but I switched to Badger Ordnance Tac Latch because it is easier to work when the scope is in the way.
  22. What he said. I don't understand why the case feeder isn't sold as a package for the 650 like it is with the 1050.
  23. Try to tell that to my 90 pound wife as she shoots my shotgun.
  24. If there isn't enough in each category, it makes sense to group them together. Although if they are kept separate, it gives my wife an incentive to come out and shot HM Iron/Pump if she's the only competitor and guaranteed first place (this is actually my hopes and dreams and not hers). Ladies, juniors and seniors should be recognized. I’m not so sure about LE and Military. Regarding getting LE out to shoot, I've had a couple for neighbors. They were great guys and always had interesting stories. I've invited them to come out and shoot with me numberous times but it never seemed to interest them. I never understood that.
