  1. I've considered shooting my Glock 34 in limited, just for something different. Looks like fun.
  2. I picked a 34 because of the price of 9mm vs .40 cal. But from what I hear a 35 is real nice when you load to minor power factor.
  3. I've shot both and I can't tell any difference. I prefer the PD's only because they are a little cheaper.
  4. I think there are enough divisions. What I think they should do is create a new way of classifying shooters. There are way too many sandbaggers around. It's pretty sad too since there are no prizes involved.
  5. I keep my G19 carry gun in my bag at major matches. If my G34 goes down at least I can finish the match and maybe save a day of fun. I also keep spares of nearly every small part.
  6. I shoot my bone stock Glock 19 in competition at least 5 times a year. It's my carry gun again.
  7. I'd like to be able to load my mags all the way up and drop mags where ever I please. But, I accept the game for what it is and enjoy it just the same.
  8. Didn't Will earn the most points for the team? I thought those gumballs were worth 3 points each and everything else was worth 1 point. Seems to me like Will got thrown under the bus even though he earned the most points.
  9. Forget to mention, make sure you fill that hole that leads up to the trigger housing real good. I had some JB Weld leak through and I had to dremel it out to get the trigger housing back in.
  10. JB Weld worked great for my internal magwell. It was easy to sand down how I wanted it.
  11. Seems like more of a judgement call. But,I guess as long as the RO is consitent with everyone that passes through his stage, then it really doesn't matter.
  12. Best part of this whole episode was the guy swinging into the wall multiple times. I can't get enough of that.
  13. Usually when that happens to my squad I just turn into jerk and start yelling out for pasters.
  14. I had the same gripe with IDPA but for me it came down to the cost and the people. Most of the people in my area that shoot IDPA are really cool and fun to be around. The game itself isn't as fun but you don't blow through 150 rounds a match, usually 60-80 rounds. And we just had a baby so competition is less important than have some occasional fun with friends. But, I like to shoot so any trigger time is fun time.

    17 or 19

I don't own both, I have a G19. I shot it in IDPA for a year and made SSP Expert. I don't think it's the gun keeping me from Master. Also, it's easy to conceal. It's my every day carry now.
  16. Yup, that's the way I've been practicing anyway, turning the safety off before I switch hands. I mostly got it for an IDPA CDP gun to mess around with.
  17. I have an ambi thumb safety on my 1911 right now and it's a pain in the a-- to get out when I want to strip this thing down. I was thinking of replacing it with a single sided thumb safety, but before I do I just want to make sure I'm not going to need it. Can anyone think of a situation where you would need an ambi safety in competition?
  18. 6inches at 25 yards off a bench is about the best I get out of my G34 with those sights. My load is 115gr over 4.4gr of titegroup or 6.6gr of HS-6. My buddy who is a better shooter then me can get that group a bit tighter. I can say that I've never had a problem making a hit in a match as long as I do my part. I don't think any of my misses were because of my equipment.
  19. I shot a G19 in IDPA and USPSA production for about a year. The next year I picked up a G34 and without any modifications my groups got tighter. I would say it's because of the added length (sight radius). You will probably notice a difference.
  20. I used to use a G19 because it's what I had. Now I use a G34 and I think I instantly saw an improvement in my shooting. Probably because of the sight radius.
  21. I carry a G19 nearly every day. Either in a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe or an OWB kydex holster. I've considered getting a G26 but haven't gotten around to it yet.
  22. I've never been bitten by any gun, I must have small hands. Friend of mine gets bitten by my glock all the time, but he still loves it. Better than his M&P.
  23. Update. I just got a replacement from Jager. Awesome customer service.
  24. I have a Jager striker that came with my Vanek kit. It's awesome, right up until two days ago when the tip broke off. Not sure how it happend, I only have 5,000 rounds through this. I fired off an email to Jager, I've heard good things so I'm not worried.
  25. Does anyone know if the dawson ice will take the Chip McCormick Power mags without any problem? I'm guessing I would have to go with the gap one. Thanks
