  1. I didn't see any times anywhere. What time is registration, shooters meeting, etc?
  2. So no real significance. Thanks.
  3. Last match I had a couple stove pipes. I figured the extractor plunger spring might need to be replaced. While I had the gun apart I compared my extractor to a spare I had to see if there were any cracks and noticed they have numbers on them. The number is on the end of the round part. The extractor I pulled from the gun had the number "1" on it. It's from a gen 3 G34. The spare is from midwayusa, the bag is marked for G34 w/ loaded chamber indicator and the extractor was marked with the number "2" on it. Is there any significance to the numbers?
  4. Shoot a Glock. The mud will keep it lubed.
  5. I got 500 230gr .45s a couple weeks ago to try. Haven't had a chance to chrono them yet but using the same load I use for buyou they shoot really nice. Shot an IDPA classifier and impressed myself. I don't know if it was the bullets but I certainly cannot blame them.
  6. I ordered a 550b setup for 9mm and another conversion for .45 on 1/15, received everything except the .45 dies which are in the mail. Looks like they are holding true to their 6-8 week back order. Stay patient.
  7. 1/15/13 Ordered a 550b in 9mm plus 45 conversion, dies and quick change kit. Shipped the 45 conversion the next day. Shipped $110 worth of parts yesterday. They said they are at about 6 weeks back ordered.
  8. Bet you that brass will fit in a scrap bucket just fine. Already there.
  9. So I loaded some new rounds with different brass (federal and some other mixed). They all work fine. One thing I did notice is the MFS brass that wouldn't go in was also very difficult to put into the moon clips. Everything else was easier. Thanks
  10. The moon clips are good I think. None look bent, I have some new Wilson Combats and some new ranch products; same problem. The rounds drop freely into the cylinder without the moon clips. Up until now I've been loading a few dummy rounds to practice reloading. I was using some "MFS" headstamp brass. They seem a bit wider at the base. I'm going to work up a few more using federal brass to see what happens.
  11. I have a 625-2 that I can't for the life of me get my reloads to go all the way into the cylinder. They fit the case gauge just fine so I don't think it's the rounds. Sometimes I will get a clip to go in, other times it will stick out about a quarter of an inch. Is it possible one of the holes is not the right size?
  12. I was at a special classifier last year that had a surprise chrono. I hadn't had a chance to chrono my new load before the match so I was a little nervous. My power factor came in at 125.5 for production, no lie. Went home and bumped up the load a little and found a chrono after that.
  13. I have an AA kit I picked up few weeks ago. So far I have 400 rounds through it, 200 CCI Mini Mags and 200 Remington Golden Bullets. I've had two malfunctions, but I also haven't cleaned it yet, so I guess I can't complain. I'm happy with it as a cheap way of training.
  14. I shot Berrys for about two years in my 34 and I didn't notice any more build up then with the precision deltas I shoot now.
  15. This is the only major I have time to shoot this year and it's looking to be a good match so far.

    OPEN GLOCKS

I'm curious why you don't see more G34's modified for open. Wouldn't the longer barrel make it easier to make major? Why all the G17's. I'm looking to build an open glock so this information is useful to me.

    OPEN GLOCKS

This thread is bad for my bank account.
  18. I only clean mine at the end of the season. I take them apart and run a mag brush through them. Done.
  19. I'll have to agree with everyone here that says the matches are fun. I just had a baby this year and won't have the time to get out and practice much, but I still want to shoot a couple majors just for the fun. Can't say I'd like spending that much money without being competitive in many other games.
  20. I gave mine an internal magwell, what's the big deal. I only got the OD green because that's the color the store had. Couldn't care less.
  21. I held one at Cabelas over the weekend, It felt kinda weird in my hand, not bad, but it just didn't point right. I think the price was $449, they guy told me they got 22 in. I'm not a fan of the manual safety, but the trigger felt good.
  22. This is good information. I just had a son this year and was wondering the right time to get him into the game(of course I have a long time to go). I figured I would wait until he had lots of range time, understood safety and I felt comfortable with him shooting a match. I was thinking around the age of 14-16.
  23. I just picked up a Rock Island Armory Tactical for a little less then $500. I like it a lot. I added a fiber optic front sight from Dawson Precision and it was good to go.
