  1. I would like to check further into this. According to PRP, "This trigger is a Springfield Armory OEM part available on production XD and XDM pistols from the factory". If that is true, then according to 8.2.1.3.3 this would be a legal modification.
  2. In my case it isn't from my thumb because I am left handed. I believe it is just the impact of the magazine seating - almost like giving it whiplash. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  3. I mainly use 124. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  4. 90% of clubs don't follow the rules anyhow! when was the last time an award was given locally. When have you seen the SO's that shoot on friday at bigger matches get a Procedural, FTN, etc etc. jcc7x7: Maybe what you say is true for Texas, but come up to the North East and shoot and work a match. We give PE's FTN's etc to the SO's if they earn it. I received PE's, cover calls and FTN's, when I've earned them, at matches I work. I am with repete on this. I saw PEs, FTN, and even DQ during the SO shoot for the last sanctioned match I worked here in Florida. Guess you have different experience? Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  5. I have guns with trigger work from Powder River Precision and Springer Precision, and both are fantastic. To find out more give them a call or email. They are both great at communication. I have also installed 3 of the PRP a ultimate Trigger kits with great results. It just depends how low you want to go and if you want to do it yourself. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  6. This is almost exactly my load. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I don't understand the issue either. It is so easy to print or, and if you don't have a good printer take it to local print shop. I have talked to a couple who said they might not recertify because they can still SO local matches and don't work sanctioned matches. But I also know a couple people waiting for a class so they can be certified. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I agree to check with Red Dot Shooting, they probably have them. They are also on the Web if you are not close. RedDotShooting.com Otherwise, check for a gun show in your area. Calendar is available at flgunshows.com Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  9. I don't believe they are sending out new rule books. You have to download from the website Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Here is an example of a squib. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  11. I had A Frankford, but eventually replaced with a 18 pound tumbler from Harbor Freight. I like being able to do a Large amount at a time. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  12. While that would help resolve some questionable hits, I am not sure I like the potential impact to the length of a match if it took you 20 seconds to determine if it was a good hit. I would rather give the shooter the benefit. Maybe for sanctioned matches. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I have both and shoot them both in IDPA. They are close enough that you can use either. I mainly use the 5.25 because of the fiber sights - and my daughter took my 4.5.:-) Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Thanks for the advice, I was leaning that way. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  15. I have found a lot of threads with information about traveling with a pistol and how to pack. But I would like your opinion concerning if you think it is better to put a locked case inside your checked bag or to use a separate checked bag. If you put it inside your normal checked bag, there is less chance of somebody knowing it is there, but I noticed that if you do that you need to sign a conditional liability form. If you keep it separate, then people might be able to identify it has expensive items in the case. What is your experience on this matter? I know you pay more for a second bag, but it will cost you even more if your first bag goes over-weight. thanks
  16. You are talking about two different trigger kits. The drop in should fit, but the ultimate requires fitting. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  17. What is the law concerning shipping of gun parts. Can I ship my slide to somebody to have new sights installed without declaring as a gun and shipping overnight? What about shipping the lower (XDm) to have it cerakoted? What about shipping in two different packages to myself in another state? thanks
  18. I have had the best luck with 124gr CMJ. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Azone Thanks for the technical answer. That makes sense. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  20. I only use Montana Gold, but 3.3 or 3.4 should be a good starting point for jacketed. Start lower if plated or lead. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  21. I suggest you only use a Dillion bolt. They are made to snap like that if you over tighten it. You can still get the broken piece out by hand. I just broke my SDB handle and got a replacement in 3 days. The hard part was holding the phone for 30 minutes. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Remembered what the sights are for.. . Real problem was that I should have slowed down and not tried to keep up with the others. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  23. Orlando and Titusville both have monthly steel matches. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Read the rulebook and show up. Let them know you are new. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  25. I have A Comp-tac and it does the same thing to my XDm. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
