Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I too am struggling with this issue. I am new to the practical shooting sports, but not knew to guns, I absolutely loved firing my M-16 in the military yet I cannot for the life if me understand where this flinch comes from. I have tried keeping my front sight steady and focusing on trigger pull, but it seems the more concerned about my accuracy I am the more I flinch, when I'm just running and gunning I'm okay... oh wise ones, please help!
  2. Thanks for the recommendations, I am looking to have my slide lightened a bit and I also heard Bobby Keegans of Freedom Gunworks name come up as well. Maybe I'll get a trigger job while I'm at it.
  3. This is great info, I just bought one during the holidays from a guy who got it already to shoot limited and never went out. I was a little apprehensive at first casue I'm a fairly new competition shooter, but all I've seen for limited guns around me have been $2,500 guns and up. All the guts have been replaced with Wilson and it has the Dawson magwell. It also came with 3 barley used Dawson mags, which I like a lot, but I'm told Dawson no longer make them. I did add Dawson Basepads and I know there was an aftermarket trigger added. Trigger breaks around 2.75 or so, but it feels great. I'm new to gun tuning so it's by far the best gun and trigger I've ever owned. I was running a base model witness match before I found this one, but I think I will stick with the Para for a bit.
  4. Congrats, sounds like it running pretty good!
  5. Curious about this mag well, is this the one from Canyon Creek?
  6. Thanks henning, I just got the shipping notification!!!!
  7. I am actually heading over as a dependent this time. Thanks for the info, I sent ger@ipsc.org an email and joined the ipsc forum over there as well, as I get feedback I will be sure to update this post as well. Until then keep the info com in guys!
  8. Hey guys just found out we are moving to Wiesbaden, Germany and from what I've been able to gather on the internet and hear say from my buddies... unless you are a very rich... no guns and/or shooting sports for you! I also read that in order to possess a firearm for sport, it almost takes an act of God. So how about it, is it true? Are there any German shooters here on the boards? Would love to hear from you guys as well.
  9. Not sure of the weight still, but I will update thr post when I can weigh them, but let me tell you that they are super light, super slim and they make a hell of a difference for me. The stock grips made the gun clunky for me!
  10. Nice blasters guys keep them coming! I have a brand new Elite match in 40 S&W coming so I will contribute soon!
  11. For now I will use the blade-tech since I keep hearing that one come up in conversation. I ordered one from Henning and it should be in shortly.
  12. I'm not sure what the weight is, but I spoke with Henning this morning and he is awesome. You should give him a shout, he has a super quick response time and he can get you the details you are looking for. I can't wait to get my grips!!!
  13. Okay guys, what holsters are you running for limited and/or open? Are you modifying them in anyway to fit? Have you found speed rigs that fit this gun from the factory? I been looking around and I have heard mention of CR Speed with modification, ghost holster with modification and Blade Tech for Elites with no rail. Is this all there is and if so what mods are you using to make them fit correctly? Thanks is an advance!
  14. Thanks greyling those pics really help. I too wish there was a more affordable option for these grips as well. Who knows maybe if we can create enough demand we can get a 40-60 dollar non-wood option.
