  1. When I bought my barrel for my SX3 the factory said that SX2-3 and Browning Silver barrels will fit. I am using an SX2 in 26".
  2. Please do, I'm just curious. I called DPMS about the fit and they're all over it to get it right. My first dealing with DPMS, but I'll give their customer service a huge thumbs up after they way they responded! I picked it up and it came in the standard hard case with the molded compartments with a cleaning kit and 2 mags. I checked everything for fit and finish and it was tight with very little wiggle or free play between the upper and lower.Very happy with it. Mounted my new scope and took it to the range to zero. I set it up at 25 yards for a 200 yard zero. Very accurate @ 25, it will shoot through the same hole. I took it out to 100 yards and unfortunetly there was a 10-15mph crosswind so I couldn't get a good MOA, but was very tight and accurate. The JP trigger was factory set and it worked well, I found the comfort grip pistol grip a little small, but OK.I shot it in a 3-gun Sunday and other than a major problem with me not having the correct eye relief on the scope, it hit everything I could get it focused on to 300 yards and was close at 500 yards. I have ordered a new mount for the scope to move it forward to correct the eye relief. I used the stock metal mags, PMags, TapCo poly mags, and Nordic 40 rounders on PMags. They all fed and had no problems. All of the poly mags were tight and did not drop freely without a little pull. I think they will work in and be OK.I have had to sand the pmag poly ones to drop freely. Hopefully I can get the scope issue worked out and I think this will be a very good purchase.
  3. Why are their names always "Wayne"?
  4. I am also curious as to why FN/Winchester insist on retaining those prongs on the lifter, when so many people seem to have no problems when doing the 'C-Rum' modification of welding it across. Am considering doing that to mine - if I did, it would be the only mod I would make I think....have to say, I'm not really interested in going medieval on my receiver (No offense Doug and Pro2A!) Maybe I have skinny fingers, but I have had no problems loading my SX3 with the prongs after I took my Dremel with a sanding drum and just rounded off all the sharp edges and smoothed the forks out. I also switched out my follower to a teflon coated aluminum one.
  5. I am picking mine up @ my FFL today. I will let you know how it looks and what kind of case came with it.
  6. Check out Natchez Shooters. I bought 1K bulk pack of Federal brass case for $299, $289 if you buy 2K.Good ammo, is clean and accurate. Still on sale. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=FAAE223BK&src=tpCtg
  7. Thanks, I ordered one. Going to put the C-More on my Beretta Neos .22.
  8. That stuff, too. I was trying to be PC, seeing as how I am fairly new at this.
  9. I have a C-More Slide Ride direct mount. Is there an adapter available to use this on a picatinney rail? I can't find one on the C-More website.
  10. I sent Tac Pro another e-mail yesterday and they said they would contact the RO that did the results and get back to me. This is the kind of stuff that ruins a match.
  11. I am shooting a 1x4 and was looking for a little more at higher power and keeping the true 1x, but that answers my question. 20 yds and in is what I think of as close.
  12. How does the 1.5 work for up close shots? Good field of vision?
  13. Not to throw another choke in the mix, but Sean recommended a Briley Diffusion choke for my SX3. It does not shoot slugs because of the rifling, but does work well for everything else. I use it when there are no slugs, works for me, knocks down steel effectively and is good on clays at all standard distances.
  14. I also have all of this info @ even number yards. 25-50-75-100-150-200-300. I don't use a range card, but probably should. Get to know you rifle thru range time.
  15. My rifle is sighted in @ 25 yards for a 200 yard zero and it shoot 2" high also. I just use a 2" hold over at close range.
  16. Plus 1 for my Winchester SX3. No problems with light loads.
  17. I had the same problem with my DPMS with a 20" SS bull barrel. I changed the barrel out to a Daniel Defense 1/7 twist 16" M4 profile barrel with a Miculek comp and had a buddy mill slots in my solid aluminum handguard. Changed the whole feel of the gun and is now very easy to use. Shoots very well out to 200 yards.
  18. Even though I know I sucked, I still want to know the scores.
  19. I have a DPMS flat top with a DD 16" M4 barrel in 1/7 twist. Very happy with this rifle. I have been looking at the 3G. Have you shot this and what kind of range report do you have. What do you think?
  20. I have been using a Counter Sniper 1x4/24. I know it is not the scope of choice in 3-gun, but it works very well for me. I have used it out to 300 yards, but would like a little more magnification. They have a 1x8/30 and a 1x12/30. The 8x seems perfect for longer distances, I am not sure if the 12x would be too much. The scopes are built like tanks and IMHO have pretty good glass and are very bright. The lighted reticle is not for bright sunlight just low light. Their prices are pretty reasonable. I am going to build or buy another .223 AR to shoot out to 500 yards and I think I will put the 8x on it. http://countersniperoptics.com/cgistore/store.cgi?page=/new/catalog.html&setup=##AGENTID#&cart_id=
  21. I sent Tac Pro a e-mail asking about the scores and they said they would be on their website by the end of the week.I did not see them, yet.
  22. We spent over 2 hours on the scatter gun stage. The gun broke half way thru our squad. It had to be repaired before we could finish. It had to be cooled before each shooter. If there was approx. 100 shooters with 12 or 13 steels, it had at least 1k rounds thru it. Most of our comp shotguns would have a hard time running that hard on that hot a day. By the time I shot it the right hand hammer was almost impossible to cock. It would have been good to shoot the balance of the stage with our shotguns and used the double for the last couple of steels as a pickup gun.
  23. Where can we find the scores? I really enjoyed the pistol on stage 1. That was great. The blind pistol stage was also good. Thanks to all the RO's for working and keeping everything going during a very hot day.
  24. Thats what I thought. It is OK in Limited?
