Its an IDPA CDP gun. Actually its genius no competition from Glock or M&P in a 5inch plus polymer .45.

So no magwell and no extended mags to shoot limited. I cant imagine shooting LTD with 15 shot mags.

The Kensight on my custom shop Shadow has held up fine since 09 and maybe 10k rounds. I was originally disappointed because it was advertised to have LPA sights. The kensights were substituted for the LPAs without explanation. I assume the kensights are cheaper than the LPAs but they haven't given me any problems.

XDM is my choice. You can get a 4.1 oz tungsten guide rod to keep it down and you can get mag extensions so you can start 21+1. I dont like the magwell options since they all have to use a med backstrap, but in limited you just need 1 reload on a long stage anyway. On empty gun table starts the grip sits up about 6 inches and its like grabbing it from a holster.

On Today's 3 gun nation Michael Voight showed his 90 degree Cmore mounted on his Trubore. It looked to me like a 45 degree mount not a true 90. It looked to have better visibility to the left side the way it was mounted. Who makes the 45 degree mount? STI should offer that as an OEM mount.

So that's 22 start-able so you can really start with 23? 22+1? Can you post a pic of the follower and spring mod? The Bolen spring compresses into itself I thought if you cut any it wouldn't compress correctly

The short answer is Bolens. I can get 21 reloadable. The mag will hold 22 but I have to force it too much to seat it and Im afraid it will break the plastic grip (STI).

Half way through a match I had an RO tell me not to flip out a round and catch it anymore because he considered it unsafe gun handling. Can he dictate how I Unload and show clear? I never came close to a 180 violation or was I warned about being close.

The lyman manual shows 2.8 as max but they list the OAl at 1.058. I load it out to 1.15 and use 2.9 grains.

I use lead 147s with clays loaded out to 1.15 and have no pressure problems in 25k rounds. Warning it does tumble in some guns. Those same guns that tumble don't tumble with a slower powder and 147 lead. The clays and 147 load in a 1911 is the softest load ever.
