  1. It is the smaller diameter mloc hand guard available later this year when I asked JP about it on the phone a few weeks ago.
  2. Never had a problem with it over the past year.
  3. The Area 419 version is great. Match faster to adjust on the move with the knob versus the RRS lever.
  4. The 40 extractor is not the same as a 45. Interchanging them is only a good thing for your fellow single stack competitors.
  5. A few questions - is this the first time you have used Tripp 10rd magazines - are you using an elevated mag catch (EGW makes a great one) - Besides the barrel being new, what else has changed?
  6. Just call them and order one. Here is the link. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kart-Precision-Barrel-Corp/134814713235576
  7. A gift from my wife. My new Springfield from the Springfield Custom Shop.
  8. Looks good except for the rear sight needing a kick stand
  9. I have had great results from both Wilson and Tripp magazines in 10mm
  10. on a single stack this one works very well http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=24676/Product/OVERSIZE-MAGAZINE-RELEASE
  11. Glenrock Custom Gun Bluing does exceptional work. Here is the link http://www.gunbluing.com/index.html
  12. Have used several of the new style mags in a very old SV pistol with no problems.
  13. The new style mags work great in my very old SV. Have tried several and they all worked fine.
  14. Harmon, PM me your address. I have one to spare.
  15. Mine is about 10 months old and it fit the Sidewinder / Bomar dovetail perfectly.
  16. Had a little extra time Saturday so I put the model 41 on a diet. Started with the typical full weight 5inch bull barrel with a c-more railway. The barrel, sight, and mount combination weighted 1.56 lbs. After some time on the mill, it became a c-more slide ride mounted directly to the barrel. After some lightening and a little black duracoat it ended up at 0.96 lbs for the sight and barrel combo. The balance is now excellent. Pictures below.
  17. Here is my Model 41 with a Bully Barrel.
  18. Eric, They are much wider and niver than a Brown safety. Plenty of extra materail tro contour it to fit your thumb and still have a very wide paddle.
  19. Here is the initial picture of a very long term project I just copmpleted. It is a Springfield 45, new slide with ball cuts, bottom edge bevel, gentle lower and flair, flat top, Heinie ledge sights, hand fit and lapped grip safety for a seamless fit, Kart barrel, EGW bushing, Heinie magwell with Legacy custom mainspring housing, re-profiled back strap / frame ifiled rear for reduced girth, hand checkered mainspring housing at 25 lpi, front strap was checkered by EGW at 25 lpi and hand pointed by myself, magwell opened to maximum size. Extreme engineering trigger parts, Wilson flat trigger, all the work was completed by myself except the front strap checkering (EGW), and the awesome Canyon Blue finish by Canyon Creek. Sorry for the crappy picture, will get some nicer ones up in a few days.
  20. Boz, Planning on Tuesday. Broke the decapping pin in my 9mm sizing die Should have the new die tomorrow to load more rounds.
  21. My new 9mm open gun. Finished in the white and ready to go.
  22. If you plan on only using the new style magazine tubes you can lower the shelf on your STI mag catch by 0.050" and reduce the radius on mag catch where the shelf meets the main portion of the mag catch. If you will be mixing the the new tubes with your older magazines you can raise the upper edge of the slot on the magazine body 0.050" and square up the radius on the front edge of the magazine tube to match your existing tubes.
  23. I have always loaded my 40 SS to 1.2" OAL. The only mags I have found to be 100% reliable are the Wilson 47NX 10mm magazines. With 45 SS magazines I have been able to get to 97-98% reliability which was no where near good enough to trust in a major match. The last time I looked at prices for the Wilson 47NX mags Brian's store had the berst price as well.
  24. A new 6" limited. Still naked Need to decide on the finish. Enjoy the pictures.
