  1. Well as someone who WEARS a tac vest at matchs, mainly because some outlaw matchs we shoot it's helpful/necessary , so when I shoot, I want MY gear setup the way I SHOOT it most. Any how, we went to a monthly alphabet match ONCE, with our gear, and were told to leave, they didn't even ask if we were Mil/LEO anything, just an attitude. Needless to say we have NEVER been back, I have better things to do with my time than shoot with a bunch of snobs. ETA; I find it quite funny those guys, are many of the same lamenting the lack of new/younger shooters, wondering why people never come back, 3 of the 5 I shoot with regularly are in their 20's, you think they will be joining your group, HIGHLY unlikley
  2. TOO LATE for any type of patent, and as said earlier, a patent isn't worth much unless you can sell it to a company with the money to defend it(or you want to spend the$$$$ to do it, many products won't recoup that cost.
  3. If it was an outlaw match , at least the ones I shoot, all steel MUST FALL to be scored a hit. That removes all the arguing/discussion about reshoot, scoring, ect. Most of those matches, the turn out is high enough, reshoots would make the match too long.
  4. Got the guns back yesterday, one is sctatched up pretty bad , the other is OK, looks like they shot both of the a few times. Or maybe the cops did
  5. Yes, we were just building them , they collected up all the parts, even picked up the owners manuals. They have hit 16 businesses in the last 6 days.
  6. Had 2 MKA 1919's stolen last night , here's what the look like , both pretty much the same except one has a forward charging handle, the other doesn't Both are black , very unique guns contact me ANYTIME 573-378-3393 Pryed, kicked open my office door, ATTEMPTED to pry open BOTH safes ( Liberty ) , no luck there []
  7. Are you serious they did not like the tone of the tac vest. Its people like that who hurt the sport. We should be welcoming all shooters not just those we think are PC.Pat Yep, we couldn't believe it either , needless to say we won't be going back to that club again , there are always 3 of us that go together, sometimes up to 6
  8. Stupidity like that is the main reason I only shoot outlaw match's. The majority of the ABC matchs I've shot were either designed to penalize or DQ the shooters , NO Thanks Oh, and one, where they told us to leave because one of the guys with us wore a tac vest Didn't ask if he was a LEO or MIL , just said "we don't want that "tone" at our match"
  9. Now you've done it, committed heresy against Benellis, which are the shotguns that always run. Next you'll say you've had some problems with a Dillon, or that a Glock broke. Ha Ha , no , but my son has worn out the recoil spring on his Glock , started getting some faliures, changed the spring , now 100%
  10. I have one , so does my son, we BOTH switched from Benelli , NEITHER of us has had asmany malfunctions with the MB 930 SPX as the Benelli's. We now both shoot MKA 1919's in open, they run good as well. Just need a break in. BTW, I RO'd a stage at Ozark with alot of SG, that year the SLP choked about 3-1 over any other brand, haven't seen that before or since, but for some reason that year, on our stage, they were TERRIBLE.
  11. HA HA, Geezer squad strikes again, they left a shotgun on our stage, we had our Midship man take it to them, they hadn't noticed yet. Only problem , I'm not too far from doing the same thing GREAT squad though
  12. They use the same bullet button for the MKA as the AR. They don't fit very well.
  13. I had a similar trigger on my AR once , fired on pull , again on release. Screwed up my whole match. Good thing was it started on the last stage of the day, went to a LGS and bought a new one .
  14. Once broken in the XN should run wally world/bass pro bulk loads with factory setup, break in on the XN will range from 0 - 50 rounds. Be careful shooting 3" with a gas bushing , I wasn't thinking last match , had a spinner , I thought I'd start with a 3" magnum turkey load , blew my gas piston ring part way off , just enough so the bolt wouldn't go into battery. Had to skip 8 SG targets, SCREWED that stage , as well as the match. No damage to anything , more of a LEARNING experiance Main advantage of after market AR stock is to make it as near identical ergos as your AR as you can. They WILL add wt. how much depends on your choice of stock Here is my son shooting mine
  15. You might try Booneville , about 20-30 min. I have NO IDEA , just throwing that out.
  16. Excellent post , my son and I (and now a nephew) try and do exactally that. We TRY and RO the match like we would want to be RO'd. While we don't do many , (ozark since the beginning , and CMMG this year) we have gotten several compliments, our thoughts are "if the shooter is not happy he wont come back, if very many don't come back , soon you won't have a "local" match. Once again EXCELLENT points.
  17. When you get fast enough you can over run a super nova, there's a couple of vids on u-tube. My son had the same feed issues, we could never get his fixed, SOLD.
  18. My son, nephew, and I will be shooting tomorrow (RO's ). here's what I was told 105 SG 110 pistol? ? ? not real sure on this one, just over 100 though 75 rifle Of course those who have RO'd before know that may change if the stages need changed.
  19. I've just got into the habit of clearing all my drops that way, I guess RO'ing matches has made me nervous, I have seen quite a few guys get DQ'd by dropping a SAFE gun and the safety gets bumped OFF in the barrel. I've had to DQ, 2 last year, that both me and the other RO saw him put on safe, dumped in barrel , gun rolled and clicked off safe.
  20. We are using green triangles now, they work GOOD but are the PERFECT size to get stuck in the slots and holes in our parts. The pins didn't, but were too aggressive. Yip, got your PM
  21. I can't remember off hand , got them from midway, I'd probably be interested in selling them.
  22. WELL, I tried the SS pins on the 6061 alum tube , WOW! they BEAT it up. It may be a little less aggressive with more pins but not sure if I want to buy another $2-300.00 worth of pins. I got 20# put them in with 3 pieces of tubing filled tumbler FULL of water. ran for just over an hour. I chewed the S%#T out of the tube , good thing it was some that weren't any good to start with.
