  1. I use my MKA with a 19" barrel, choked appropriately, We have no problem breaking clays out to 65 yds with an extra full choke
  2. Yup, people get mad at me sometimes because the stage brief says one thing specifically, port of arms.....I'm kinda specific of what port of arms is....but everyone is going to start the exact same. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 Or as I've seen - Low Ready - anywhere from gun shouldered AIMING at the first target with finger on the trigger - To what I percive LR to mean, gun shouldered pointing down at close to a 45* angle. maybe I don't understand LR
  3. I believe the NEW replacement match for the Ozarks match ( I forgot the name just now) is planning on 3 RO's per stage.
  4. Hmmm, I may know them How did you enjoy the match? I'm trying to upload ours , but they keep locking up on you-tube
  5. Are the scores posted ANYwhere ? ? Was there some problems with the scoring? I got the email with ALL the extra shooters, but nothing else.
  6. Flatland & BC , summed it up VERY good, my thoughts / experiences exactaly. Maybe my memory is failing (it is) or maybe I need to get out more, but it seems to me the trend in the last couple of years has been trending toward traveling RO's Also with T-RO's, seems to be quite a lot of time spent on each stage discussing/figuring out how the stage was intended to be shot, NOT intentionally making it easier but everyones interpretation of the stage discription will be a little different. Then you will have the occasional lenient RO, which is GREAT if your on that squad, not so much if your not.
  7. Which do you prefer at a match and why? Do any matches state which they will have? I have shot both, and been an RO at both, I have my preferences, and will post later. Just wondering . . . . . . Pro's / Cons of each. PLEASE don't post names or places, that is not wanted or intended.
  8. Latest one, We took our grand kids out for the day, as we were returning home, the oldest, 5 says, "You know, I've lived a pretty good life . . . . . . . BUT, this was the best day ever"
  9. AR500 is AR500, there are just a few MFG of AR500 steel in the US, it's not like one target maker has a supplier no one else can buy from. Either it meets the specs for AR500 or it's not AR500.
  10. YES, the XM193 WILL damage AR500 targets, just did some shots on Sunday. The 855, ( I believe an AP round)NOT gonna shoot any of our steel with it after seeing what the 193 did. I'll post some pics later this computer doesn't seem to want to go there. We have shot these plates many many of times with Wolf, Tula, Brown Bear, Sliver Bear. from 50 -100yds. 2 different plates 1 shot each, you can see the dimple, those other hits are Tula FMJ
  11. Plano 54" All Weather case, not a Pelican, but for 1/3 or less the price, VERY nice cases. If you want to see them in person, Walmart usually has the 36 or 42" around this time of year.
  12. Do we NEED a sling? Not that ahrd to pack, but if I don't need it , I'd just as soon leave it at home. Also I heard the furtherest rifle is about 300yds? NICE!
  13. We build and run the 1919's, they are very mag dependent, nearly every problem we've encountered is mag related. Get your mags tuned(they are very hit/miss from the factory) I would put ours against anything out there for reliability. We use coupled 10's for most stages, more compact for getting in and out of barrels, we have a 23rnd mag we will be running in it's first match at the Rock, Nov 1-2, it's never choked in practice, so we'll see. . . . . . Here's a video of my son doing a little practice a while ago, when we were testing our comp. had our FIRST bad primer on a Win AA.
  14. Thanks Flatland, We don't have them on our website yet, hope to have them online sometime next week Here's a link to a thread we did on our comps a few weeks ago, it should have most of the answers to your questions. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180440
  15. We had that happen ONE time, had a Next Day AM delivery scheduled for pickup($98.xx shipping), the driver pulled in (circle drive) never stopped ,drove out. I actually saw him pull in . I grabbed the box to meet him on the drive, opened the door he was pulling out on the road. I looked up the number, called FedEx, of COURSE nobody could help, I kept asking for supervisors, working up the ladder. Finally got one who would do something , almost an hour on the phone. He got in contact with our hub, they contacted the driver. he was already back and leaving for home. They made him drive back out and pick up the package. All our FedEx drivers gave us their phone #'s, and they are VERY accommodating.
  16. SWEET ! BTW; I hope you guys drink a WHOLE LOT on Thurs and Fri night , I NEED any advantage I can get
  17. I had the same problems, Gen 4 G17, on mine it was the front bottom of the mag where it was hanging up. I kept removing material from the front edge of the mag until they worked. On mine it ended up being almost all the way through, basically to a point, and tapered back up into the mag about 1/2", WAY more than I ever though it would take. Just like the OP, I had a box of skittles several times during a match before I got them to run 100% They ALWAYS worked during practice get to a match . . . skittles.
  18. 10, that's even better, I'm sure mine only showed 9, maybe that's why it wouldn't work to post.
  19. One thing we forgot. The BR safety is the same as the Pre-XN, a set screw with a, UN-captured spring and ball, no big deal, it does operate somewhat harder. and you must be more careful with dis-assembly as to not lose the spring, ball, or set screw. 3 small parts to keep track of. It can be easily changed out for a captured one, and smoother operation.
  20. WOOHOO! !, got the stages in an email, Here's what I came up with Stage 1: 25 SG Stage 2: 9 P, 13 SG Stage 3 7 SG, 6 P Stage 4 9 paper 14 plates ,optional , P or SG Stage 5 6 SG, 6 P Stage 6 6 R, 9 SG, 6P Stage 7 14 paper, 5 Flashers paper is optional P or R Stage 8 18 paper, 6 steel Optional ?? P or R Stage 9 8 paper, 3 Flasher, 15 SG , 19 R? ? I can't post them here, for some reason it locks up my browser. That's it in a nut shell, makes sense to me looking at the stages, probably clear as MUD to anyone reading it.
  21. Do we need Slings at this match? Any stage discriptions yet? Nothing new for 7 days whats happening here?
