^true I use mixed brass for practice and local matches with that same COAL tolerances you are seeing. As long as they pass the plunk test I'm good. Plunk test is removing barrel and dropping the round in chamber to hear the plunk. Once fired brass gives good COAL for matches 1 to 2 hours away. New brass gives best COAL tolerance and that gets used for anything further than 2 hour drive. What I get out of the new brass is more consistent chronograph readings with tighter COAL tolerances. I gave MBX a fair shake but didn't workout. MBX customer service lacked a lot. Went with STI Gen 2 mag bodies and used TTI base pad and guts to get 100% reliable 21 reloadable magazines. TTI video is on page 2 of this thread. I did tune the feed lips to the dimensions in the Dawson magazine tuning kit. I don't have a spring issue. I know what you speak of but TTI springs haven't given me that problem. When I was testing magazines I did find that problem with a certain brand. Mine run 21 all the time 100%. You can load 20 or 21 it's what you plan for. Nobody is wrong or right. Run what works for you and is proven reliable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's base pad thickness. 4mm STI 3mm infinity... if I remember correctly. Got to set the springs. Leave 21 rounds in mag for several days and it'll become reloadable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
