There were 3 NIB MTACs in the classifieds a couple days ago. I personally dont like the MTAC reticle. The circle is too thick for my liking. Ive been running an XTR but thinking of trying the Viper PST. Vortex glass is nice.

This thread (and an upcoming hunt in the mountains)motivated me to get back into shape. I have been watching calories, portion sizes and just eating healthier in general. I have also been running a couple miles per day and have managed to loose a little over 10 lbs in a month. I start Crossfit in about a month, so I may be putting some weight back on. But for now Im sleeping better, I dont feel as exhausted all the time and my pants fit better.

I personally would be thrilled to save 3 or 400 bucks on a like new gun that I could get right away. I realize lots of people will pay good money for that "new car smell" , I wont. Most of the tactical tupperware will be priced at or above the cost of a new one in store, but there is a pretty good chance you are getting upgraded sights, trigger work, extra mags or some combination thereof, plus you skip paying sales tax. Holsters and other gear, yea Ive seen it priced too high, buy this is America, free market rules. Ive gotten so many great deals off the classifieds, I just keep scrolling if I dont like the price. I sure dont take it personal. So thats my advice. Its worth what ya paid for it. Dont stress if stuff is priced higher than you like, everyone thinks their stuff is worth top dollar, me included. Keep an eye on it, it may get cheaper or it may sell. You never know.

Aaron, is that barrel mid-length gas? Thanks. What did you use for a gas block? It is a middy. I just used the factory lo pro gas block.

I just put together an upper with a DD lightweight 16" 1:7 barrel, a 15.5" Nordic handguard on a BCM upper. Its stupid light without being all that expensive. Im gonna shoot it in the next week or so but I would imagine a setup like that would be more than accurate enough for a 250 yd and in gun. Probably more...

Based on the lack of response in this thread, maybe take that as a hint. If match directors plan on having matches and want people to show up, they usually advertise.

Without having seen any pics of this, would this also be an optic suited to a carry gun?

Do all of you guys who are so nervous about being around licensed CHL holders with concealed handguns, feel the same off the range? I fail to see the difference if a person is not involved in the match. Legal carry is legal carry. In Texas, you can carry anywhere except prohibited areas and 30.06 posted areas. After that its an issue of criminal trespass, if you are asked to leave and wont. So why is carrying at the range so verboten?

If you are involved in the match, whether you are shooting or not, you need to comply 100% with the USPSA rulebook. If I show up to any place, range, match or otherwise, as long as its legal, I will be carrying quietly. I dont believe in advertising that I am armed, but as long as Im legal, Ill stay hot.

I run a Burris XTR 14. Im very happy with it. There is better illumination out there but I dont run illum on the clock so thats a non issue with me.

I order at least once a month. It always blows me away how quickly they get my goodies out to me

This was one of the best matches, both stages and staff, I have had the pleasure of shooting. I shot yesterday with the RO's and had an absolute blast! Thanks to everyone involved and really look forward to next year!!

Ive carried in just about everything and Ive come back to the CTAC. I have one for all my carry guns. I wear it EVERY day and Ive not worn a more comfortable holster.
