    Mouse cr@p

Mouse cube + peanut butter, followed by bucket of water (or a freezer)... you get the idea.
  2. Does this club have a "new shooter briefing"? When I first joined my current club it was a mandatory walk-thru of the basic commands and rules of the range & game. It wasn't a rule book review of your knowledge, but more an insight for the safety/range officers that you understand the most basic concepts of what are safe actions.
  3. Unless you think you can't clear a Texas Star or a plate rack with one magazine shoot production. Best 2 per paper for a 16 target COF shouldn't be a problem...
  4. Current load is 4.1gr WST @ 1.130 OAL & 180g PD FMJ. Used in both M&P40FS and a G35 making minor power factor around 145.
  5. Impressive that his first hit is dead center of the calibration zone of the popper, then hits that same zone again. It's not like he hit the foot to slowly start it, then hit the middle to knock it down.
  6. Did S&W switch? Mine came with a Bladetech holster, Bladetech double pouch, 3 mags, and got 2 free...
  7. Any idea when info concerning match hotel, self-squadding, or stages will be posted? Does anyone know if there is camping nearby?
  8. Does your state law allow children of your son's age to handle and shoot handguns? In Iowa the minimum age is 14. Furthermore, a parent or guardian or spouse who is age 21 or older, of a person age 14 but less than age 21, may allow the minor to possess a handgun or handgun ammunition for any lawful purpose while under the direct supervision of the parent, guardian or spouse, or while the person receives instruction in the proper use of such firearms from an instructor age 21 or older, with the consent of the parent, guardian or spouse. Section 724.22(5). Quick google search for NJ: Section 2C:58-6.1b adds that no person under the age of 18 shall possess, carry, fire or use a firearm, and no person under the age of 21 shall possess, carry, fire or use a handgun (unless the person is authorized to possess a handgun in connection with the performance of official duties), except under the following circumstances: In the actual presence or under the direct supervision of his or her parent, guardian, or a person who holds a permit to carry a handgun or a Firearms Purchaser Identification Card; orFor the purpose of a military drill supervised by a recognized military organization, lawful and supervised competition or target practice, or lawful hunting, where he or she possesses a valid hunting license and has successfully completed a recognized hunter's safety course. New Jersey imposes harsh penalties, including a mandatory minimum prison term of three years without parole, on anyone who knowingly sells, gives, transfers, assigns or otherwise disposes of a firearm to a person under age 18. Section 2C:39-10e. New Jersey prohibits any person from selling, giving, transferring, assigning or otherwise disposing of handgun ammunition to a person under age 21. Section 2C:58-3.3c.
  9. This may strike an off-pitch chord with many on this forum... but I really hate the multi-k post count "regulars" always telling a new member to use the search fxn of the forum. Get over it already, let people post and re-discuss whatever they damn well please. If you don't want to constructively (and constructive doesn't count as pointing out the search fxn) add to the conversation then take your fingers off the keyboard. You have the option to scan the topics, just ignore the apparent overwhelming urge to click & post on something YOU know has been discussed too much for your liking just to point how you feel about the subject.
  10. Apparently I'm a cheap SOB... Stock M&P40 FS, Bladetech holster, 2 double mag pouches (1 BT, 1 Fobus) all on a leather belt looped thru my Walmart pants. Precision Delta 180g FMJ, mixed headstamp brass, 4.1 grn WST, CCI or Win SPP, 1.130 OAL
  11. It really wouldn't be +5 would it? Virginia count extra shot penalty would be -10... so net -5, plus the extra time, would probably lower your hit factor? Also, "no stacking" was mentioned... -10 for procedural if take a stacked shot to make up the miss, yes? So still down -15 (-10 proc, -10 VC extra, +5 A) as in the original scenario of -10 for the miss and not getting the 5 pt A hit. I'm pretty sure there is no way to game a missed shot in Virginia count.
  12. It is odd that the rules address scaling aids for obstacles over 3' high, but nothing about high ports for the height disadvantaged.
  13. Funniest thing I've read all day... I really did LOL. Chortled, guffawed, and even snorted. Especially in light of the current latest greatest discussion about Android...
  14. Where from? Who do you shoot with?
  15. I'm surprised all the shooters waited until moving to the last array to move the briefcase...
  16. No, but activity must be paid before classifiers are posted. Yes, or pay by check. No.
  17. One must now be an authorized uploader or club contact to view that info...
  18. So cater to those trying for a tactical advantage? How about adapting to the conditions instead?
  19. Equation looks much simpler... wood + cleats = fall. He could have planned better... run to side of table avoiding the platform behind it. Eyes of the beholder...
  20. Sorry, haven't been here for ten 10 years, nor read every thread buried in the archives.
  21. by going through any of those processes, you will lose a ton of time, thus negating the need to game the start as discussed. Sure enough, but that's not the point. Loading it would make it "ammo", not a "prop", yes?
  22. What if the loose round is loaded into a magazine, or simply chambered, before firing the course?
