  1. Extra mags expense along with that tho...
  2. It's a completely arbitrary assignment... B/C are interlocked, just surrounding different A zones. Really there are only 3 scoring zones since B/C have the same point value. The original rule makers could have been wacky obscure with "naming" the zones and scored as prime numbers only, but it doesn't matter since it's consistent. It would though make it much easier to score if there were only ABC on scoresheets...
  3. LOL... keeping it out of the mainstream seems a bit obfuscatory.
  4. 4.1gr , 180g FMJ, OAL ~1.130 makes minor in M&P40 4.25"
  5. So why allow avatars (of any type)? Why not limit the size a/o # of photos for classified ads? Pretty easy solutions w/o having to bitch how stupid you think people may be...
  6. Of course it's not difficult to find it, it's just another mouse click to get to the right one. The point is, if they're in the same order as your scoresheets, then when resulting ALL stages ezws pops to the next one inline after confirming score w/o having to mouse click on the next tab. I do the same Graham, it's amazing how much time is saved when you can build/order them in ezws the same way they are on the sheet of paper you're having to review.
  7. Yes, now disappearing drop-turners (no penalty mikes), not sure how they'd shoot them at rest as they'll be facing wall before activated, and return to that position. And those angles are adjusted during set-up for shoot thru possibilities, but thanks for the reminder.
  8. Revisited... Calibration, please..doc
  9. Or if you want to be really nice... "you meant to circle 'Limited, Minor'... yes?"
  10. "Captain Vallo & the Bellowtones" ...or have them watch THIS in class and see if the kids can come up with something clever. ... or even more obscure Hemerocallis
  11. Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's such disappointing news... hopefully next year it will all come together again.
  12. Any better? This would be in a Level I one match, but as stated before I'd rather not put in the WSB that DTs or SWs must be activated before being engaged.
  13. Move to a part of the shooting area where you can engage it. 9.9 Scoring of Moving Targets 9.9.1 Moving scoring targets which present at least a portion of the highest scoring area when at rest following the completion of their designed movement, or which continuously appear and disappear, will always incur failure to shoot at and/or miss penalties (exception see Rule 9.2.4.4). In other words... if the DT ends up facing to the right, you'll have to move to the far right portion of the shooting area to get the hits (if you missed it on the DT).
  14. Yeah, this one was pretty simple, maybe 15 minutes to copy and paste 5 different items. Now throw in walls, ports, doors, and more targets...
  15. That's another consideration, and was actually how I first designed it. I think the 2 separate shooting areas is a fail, and will be the first alteration. Thanks for the suggestion.
  16. I know what you're thinking, but for WSB purposes the picture doesn't quite show accurately how the poppers will be arranged. Thanks for the reference though, I appreciate it. I want to make it "legal", and not rely on "it's a local match" excuse. I'll add some scattered barrels along the front to obscure some PP/USP, and induce the movement. If I do, should I consider them "soft cover" to avoid REF reshoots?
  17. Calibration, please..doc Please critique and give feedback. I think I know where problems may lie, but need more input before making changes.
  18. As much as I enjoyed my first level III at A5 this year, I was a bit disappointed in lack of moving targets, movement within stages, and lack of grounds keeping forethought. Heavy foot traffic combined with the heavy rains made for muddy slippy sloppy mess. Very little maintenance was achieved with a small amount rock in attempts to rectify, but in some stages the footing was near dangerous and not equal for all competitors depending which day you competed.
  19. Clearly you shouldn't be shooting improperly loaded ammunition, jeopardizing not only yourself, but the apparently crappy RO standing next to you...
  20. Just curious... there is no stipulation of using decimal places in the rules handbook, so is that rounded up to 125? Doh!.... nevermind, I was in the wrong spot. Actually found the example in the correct Appendix.
  21. I purchased my M&P40 May of 2009... came with Bladetech kydex holster (w/ S&W logo), BT kydex double mag pouch, and 2 extra mags (3 total). And, also got 2 free mags from S&W as part of the purchase promotion. So if that's the same "kit" to which you are referring, I'd say the quality is top notch.
  22. I guess another point of clarification is the target "moving" or "disappearing".. or both? Your OP kinda changed gears between sentences. And as aztec stated, the type of activator makes a huge difference. It does become very interesting if used in the right combination. Say a stomp activator (non-shooting)with a disappearing target... no penalties. Use a stomp with a pop-out stationary target, score would be 2M & FTE. Use of any popper or plate as activator and not doing so would be 1M & FTE for the popper, 2M & FTE for the paper target (if not disappearing). Right?
