  1. I tried 5.0 under 180 Berry's HP and got 188 PF out of my G35. Shoots well, but would probably make major out of a 4" BBL. How much do you use under your 180's in a G35 ? Thanks in advance ! Travis F.
  2. I put a set of these on my G35 , I like em. Ishot gave me great customer service, first set of sights was lost in transit , they sent another very quickly. Travis F.
  3. AMEN ! Bring on the Texas stars, and any other contraptions you can devise to make a challenging COF. When I have to start shooting targets while pretending they are shooting back, I'm outa here. Just my .02 And, yeah , It's a game to me , and I enjoy it that way. Note to course designers : Please feel free to challenge shooters with long range targets, they need that. Travis F. AMEN ! 4. Over 2 years later... Still works well . Travis F.
  5. Steve, The Hodgdon's annual 2006 gives : 40 S&W 4" BBL. 155 Gr. Hornady XTP COL 1.125 Titegroup Win. WSP 5.4 @ 1058 FPS 28,400 PSI start load 5.9 @ 1139 FPS 31,700 PSI MAX load They also warn against using this in a chamber which is not fully supported. ( CYA IMHO ) Hope that helps . Travis F.
  6. Thanks for the quick replies ! Not a brass issue, the problem occurs before the primers make it to the case. I am hoping to get this sorted out soon, glad to know others are having good luck with these primers. Travis F.
  7. I tried the small Fed match primers a while back and the anvils seemed to sit too high and cause occasional tipping of the primers ( I had some help from Dillon's tech line with this ) causing the shell plate to bind and the indexer to break. Switched to Win. primers , zero problems in the press , occasional 100 FPS dips in velocity. I have a light spring , I like it . I wanna use Fed primers. Help ? Travis F.
  8. I used that technique with revos , shooting my first Glock cured me of that. OUCH ! Messy too... Travis F.

    G35 or G22?

That's why I bought the G35 and a 9mm conversion barrel for $150. I can shoot either .40 or 9mm in it by changing only the barrel. I vote for the G35, I'm loving mine. so-so, G35 is pretty sweet out of the box. Bountyhunter, Where did you get the conversion barrel ? Travis F.
  10. Backed the screw off 1/2 turn. Problem seems to be solved. Travis F.
  11. I am on my third ring indexer on my XL650. Both indexers were broken on the downstroke after a primer had wedged itself cocked in the primer feed and binding the shellplate. Finally ( with Dillon's excellent help line crew ) determined that this batch of Federal small primers had a few with high anvils, causing this problem. Anvils were catching and causing the tipping/wedge effect. Switched to Win. WSP problem solved. Travis F.

    Chuck Norris.....

You cannot ask Chuck Norris to shoot minor , Chuck Norris pees harder than that. Travis F.
  13. When I used to use nicotine ( Cope Longcut ) and shoot pins, my fastest runs were always when the nicotine craving was greatest. Travis F.
  14. Never owned or used a 550. XL650 with casefeeder ROCKS ! Auto index is really important to me, I also have a powder checker, and also look into every case as I load it. Overkill ? You bet. What is really super cool about the XL650 is never having to take your right hand off the handle during loading, I don't know why this strikes me as super cool , but it is. Brian can hook you up with Dillon stuff. Travis F.
  15. Too bad nobody mentioned Eric Wesselmans TruGrip tape. It has cut outs for the finger grooves , and unlike skateboard tape has enough stretch to actually cover the curvaceous posterior of the Glock grip. Comes in two pieces for complete coverage. Maybe someone could post a link ? Travis F. Too bad nobody mentioned Eric Wesselmans TruGrip tape. 16. pstew, Some very good advice above. One more thing to check is the adjustment of the overtravel screw ( If you have one installed ) Too little overtravel combined with a rounded safety plunger just recently caused me some light ( almost not at all ) strikes. Never mind about this if all is stock except the spring. Travis F.
  17. Would this help ? http://gsiinternational.com/pages/4/index.htm Travis F.
  18. I'll have to size / deprime before I swage right? I don't have my swage yet, but as far as I understand it, it doesn't pop the primer out while swaging right? Also, do the cases need to be lubed during the loading stage? The cases will only be going into the powder funnel, seating die, then crimp die. Do either the seating or crimp die require lube on brass? Thanks You will only need lube for sizing, everything else should be done without lube. Size before trimming. Travis F.

    Chuck Norris.....

You cannot ask Chuck Norris to shoot weakhand,He does not have one. Travis F.
  20. Just like that. I am weird about returning powder to the container when finished loading. Replaced the allen screw with a stud and wingnut assembly for easy, no tool emptying of the powder measure. Par time of 60 seconds to have empty measure remounted on press. No need to really clean the measure, just make sure to cycle it a few times after pouring the powder out to empty the measuring cavity. Tap it upside down on your hand a couple of times Etc. No need to get really crazy about every last spec , in fact the black residue left from use is actually a good thing and makes the measure work better. ( Really , I'm not kidding , It's graphite , lubticates and reduces static cling ) Be sure to put the screw back in after dumping the powder, otherwise the first round loaded on the next run will be messy, the measure will pole vault right off the machine and dump a full measure of powder in your lap. Travis F.
  21. Even better than MidwayUSA.com at $15.99 for standard ( 15 round ) G22 mags. Travis F.
  22. A couple of experiences with a local supplier here have me looking for once fired brass. I want stuff that is ONCE fired , and not floor sweepings containing stuff that has been abandoned at the end of it's useful life. Any experience with these folks ? http://www.southernbellebrass.com/specials.htm Thanks for the info ! Travis F.
  23. Let me know if Windows Millenium Edition will do. I have an original disk with activation # I would send you for a $ 10.00 donation to the forum ( Shipping included ). Travis F.
  24. My thoughts are there ! Travis F.
  25. I have now installed 2 of the RS triggers , both work great ! The only problem noted is that ( I think ? ) you need some amount of overtravel to let the safety plunger get out of the way of the striker. This is not a large amount , or a big deal , just something ( I think ? ) I noticed. Maybe someone who knows more about this could chime in ? Travis F.
