  1. Only four or five ? I started to contemplate using a highlighter, then decided the ink might add to much weight to the book...guess I will just have to memorize it... . . Travis F.
  2. You might also check the condition of your gas rings, if you hold bolt carrier upside down with bolt key etc. removed, bolt should not fall out by itself (do this without lube). If ok. Clean buffer tube, lube , reassemble , go to range.Fire a few rounds to blow lube out of rings, Load one round in mag, Fire and see if bolt locks back, if it does not you may have carbon buildup in gas tube or front sight assy. Also check carrier key (the thing on top of bolt the gas tube goes in) for tightness. Travis F.
  3. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I really like "THE BOOK", could have used it about fifteen years ago. Keep healing. Travis F.
  4. I might be missing something, but a long disconnector seems to not be a good answer to this problem. Stock mainspring is 19 lb. or so on colt 1911 in 45 wilson spring Im sure is 17 lb. (and works great in 45 ) . Travis F. (Edited by TBF at 11:06 am on Jan. 7, 2003)
  5. I also just started " THE BOOK ". Awsome material, not a hard read , but I find myself thinking more than reading. I probably need another copy, I have a feeling mine might end up in my sons possession at any time. Thank you brian !!!
  6. Latest hodgdon data book (the one that is published as a magazine ) has omitted longshot data for handguns, I contacted them and this is unintentional. Last years data is still good. . Anyone else LOVE this powder in 45acp & 12ga. ???
