  1. I already signed up for 11 majors and plan on driving my RV to them. Between gas and primers I may have to go back to work!
  2. I like the Duluth Trading long sleeve sun shirts in the summer.
  3. I think window size is over rated; it is how you use it, hahaha.
  4. I use a Shield SMS2, 8 MOA, and I use their MOS mounting plate, which mounts it really low.
  5. I was reading about some matches in the 70’s and 80’s and saw several references to a course called the "Advanced Military Modified". I have searched all over and cannot find a course description other than there are targets at 15, 25, and 50 yards. Does anyone remember this course or have a copy of a course description they would share? I had this over in the stage design forum, but it will probably get better responses here.

  7. I shoot my dot gun target focus so the bifocal is the smallest possible and on the bottom anf I do not use the bifocals for shooting. The dot appears "normal" with my distance vision/target focus. When I focus on the dot using the near vision bifocals the dot looks distorted.
  8. My distance vision is still good, but I have lost clarity up close (I am 57), so I shoot with bifocals. It helped with reloads and I can read the score pad.
  9. I do not know if they are any better, but there are more options! https://www.egwguns.com/pistol-and-red-dot-mounts/?brand=761 I have one of their mounts but have not used it yet so can not comment on its longetivity. It looks well machined...
  10. The PWS PRC Compensator works great for me.
  11. I have been shooting a Shield SMS 2.5 MOA for a few years and about 8 months ago went with the Shield SMS2 with an 8MOA dot. I find the larger dot much quicker to pick up and I did not lose any precision. The view screen of the Shield sight is not huge, but it has a thin support ring around it which disappears for me when shooting and the polymer lens does not have a coating on it so the dot appears the same, even in slanted sun (no multi dots like the RMR and some others).
  12. I have had no problems with the Shield SMS2 or the RMS2, both of which use the same footprint as the RMSc. I am currently running an 8 MOA SMS2 and could not be happier.
  13. CO:my preference is the Shield SMS2. It is lightweight, low mounting, durable, the dot is always on and appropriately auto compensates for ambient lighting. Good battery life, and excellent customer service.
  14. For the summer I also like the DuluthTrading , button up, long sleeve, wicking sun shirts. They stay tucked, stretch, and and keep me cool and screened from the sun.
  15. I am using 3 comptac single mag pouch PLM and have been completely happy with them.
  16. I tried the Cain and was not impressed, it does appear to be 3D printed and, as I recall, only added 3 rounds. I recently tried the Arredondo and it has worked great and added 5 rounds. This gives me a 22 round mag for those times when the 21 rounds of the Pmags I routinely use is just not enough, haha.
  17. I think I am in the minority, but I prefer the Shield RMS, or SMS2, with the scratch resistant polymer lens, not the glass lens. The dot is always on and self regulates brightness well, the housing around the lens is thin and not obtrusive, the polymer lens does not have any strange colors and there have never been any ‘ghost’ dots or double dots when shooting into the sun, the battery life has been good (I replace them annually anyway), and I have not broken one in the past 17k rounds on my G34. The Shield also mounts low on the slide and with their Glock plate it mounts low enough that tall iron sights are not needed, if someone wanted to keep back up irons. I have had Shield repair an early one that I scratched the lens on when cleaning it, and I ‘upgraded’ to a glass lens. The glass lens is coated (like an RMR), and I did not keep it, and replaced it with a polymer lens SMS2, which I carry for a spare. The customer service was excellent and affordable and mailing back and forth to the U.K. was a non-issue.
  18. I have had good luck with vibratite for small screws, like RDS mounting screws, and as a bonus it can be reused a few times before a new application is needed, like if you need to dismount the sight to change a battery.
  19. Yes, stock Glock gen 5 barrel in the 34 and I also shoot the blue 180 grain .40 in my stock gen 2 Glock 22.
  20. I use Slip 2000 725 degreaser. That stuff is amazing, like industrial 409.
  21. I ran a Seattle slug on a G22 in limited and really liked it. It gives you some weight plus a bit of a mag guide.
  22. Oops, yep, 135 truncated cone, with a round nose
  23. I load my 135RN BlueBullets to 1.11 for my gen 5 G34 and they work great. As far as loading 231 in 9mm, I have no experience.
